I don't know where Mom learned it, but she has always used evaporated milk with macaroni, instead of regular milk. She uses evaporated milk in many other recipes as well. She made macaroni two other ways too. One is where she left out the cheese. That's my favorite way to eat macaroni. I love that milky, buttery goodness. The second way is where she left out the cheese and evaporated milk, and poured in chopped/diced tomatoes. I like that one too, but not as much as the ones with evaporated milk, and with evaporated milk and cheese.
2 weeks later here in Oregon just getting over bronchitis. You should broil it a few minutes for crispy top and creamy beneath. just a suggestion. Feel better Mikey.
Now Aunt Lou, we've talked about this...you gotta get your own dish cause you know Mikey's manners go right out the window when it comes to tasting time😂😂 Personally, I think this looks delicious! I bet it would be a great make ahead Mac and Cheese because it would warm up easily and creamy. Just think how delicious that would be with an Easter ham! People who complain it's too runny can easily adjust the amount of milk or evaporated milk to suit their taste. That's the GOODe thing about recipes. Hate you missed one of your bookings Mikey but glad you're back at it! I Love you guys and the Crock Posse!❤👍🔔
YUM! This served with a ham steak or steak burgers would be great. Also a great way to sneak in some finely chopped broccoli (kids love anything covered in cheese), if you have picky veggie eaters.
I went by the printed recipe, and it didn't mention anything about draining off any water. I would guess there was around 2 cups of water at least in the pot. I basically now have macaroni soup. Please note this step in your recipe! This is no good now, and I wasted the ingredients.

I love Mac and cheese sooo making this mmm 😋 I’m drooling 🤤
That noodle juice geyser just happened to me, too! It's everywhere! Lol 😂😂😂

Hope you feel better that same crud has been going on down here in North Carolina too.
I like my Mac and Cheese pourable, I don't want it to come out in one sticky glob. Also after it sets a few minutes is absorbs the extra liquid
WOOHOO AUNT LOU!!!
Why not use grated cheese? Just a thought.
Add some olive oil into the water before you cook it and you will not have the geyser when you release the pressure.
