Sims Medieval is a fantasy life-sim rpg, but it only has 1 expansion pack and that is Pirates and Nobles. It is a spin off of Sims 3, and they did not continue it because they were focusing on making Sims 4. Huhu
To be honest, the graphics in this game remind me of Life by You, but slightly better. However, I still don't find the visuals appealing, especially the water. I'll wait and see how it evolves, but currently, it looks as cheap as Life by You in terms of art style. Also This game appears to be mainly centered around multiplayer features and construction. Note that the game is scheduled to be released in Early Access this year, but we haven't witnessed much depth in terms of gameplay. The live mode hasn't been showcased much either. I apologize, but I'm quite wary of some of the life simulation games that have been announced.
One thing with this is that they seem to have the lighting at a much better level than LBY. In LBY the shadows are still a bit too dark, too strong IMO, which I think is partly why people are having issues with the graphics in that game. I don't think either look cheap but you can tell it's Unreal Engine behind both of them. As a builder it definitely has me interested but as you say, it all depends on how it evolves.
@@Elwaves2925 The game seems like a project made by beginners using Unreal Engine, that's what I'm trying to say. I did admit, it does look slightly better than Life by You, but it still gives off the same vibes for the Art Style. Honestly, I'm still not convinced. They haven't shared much on their channel, so we don't really know how deep the gameplay and live mode will be, and they're already planning for an Early Access release this year. This is concerning. I have a feeling that the game will focus more on building with some social elements thrown in for multiplayer, but it might end up being more of a social hub than a true life simulation game.
The game isn't open world so the graphics should look better, life by you will be fully open world with fully customisable worlds so the graphics won't be a focus for that
I'm not really that interested in playing with others in the same world, but I see this as a great opportunity for build challenges among builder friends - and I do have those. Imagine everyone claiming a lot and completing a challenge build, then being able to tour each other's without the hassle of downloading them to your own world.
After everything that went on this week in S4, I got so excited. Then you said 'multiplayer'. Looks promising for those who are into that sort of thing, though.
Glad it’s co-op at least you’ll have a choice. I remember hearing about this game and was also skeptical. Looking forward to seeing gameplay most of all. I like the graphics depending on what the characters look like ofc.
Okay, I had heard of this game and already had it on my wishlist on Steam, but didn't know about the Dream House part, but then I think it was probably 6 or 7 months ago when I saw a video on it and wishlisted it, and I think they only announced the Dream House game in November so, I was a bit behind the news on it. For those wondering it does say it can be played in Single Player mode too, so you don't have to have any friends to play, which is good, since I don't know anyone who would play this kind of game with me, lol! I do remember being a bit concerned with the fact in their video with the people or Vivas, as they call their people, the two males looked exactly alike, which makes me wonder how customizable will the character creation be. I hope it's not like with Second Life or something, where you have a lot of clones, unless you buy addons ( in Second Life of course ) I would figure it won't be that way with this game once you buy it! If they improve on the characters I think this could be fun to play, the more life simulation games ( with actual characters that look human that is, not just you playing in first person and cleaning a house or something ) the better. With this and Life By You and Paralives, and possibly Inzoi too, we can have our choice of different Sim like games, without EA having anything to do with them, which is the best part about it all, to me!
They did create a multiplayer mod for The Sims 4, but I'm not sure if they have the qualifications or enough resources to make a full game. I'm also unsure about the size of their team. It's hard to form an opinion on Vivaland since we haven't seen much from them yet, and their game will be in early access this year.

I do like some of the graphics in this game but it still doesn’t look like something I would be interested in. I do like the look of Inzoi and I’ll be keeping an eye on that one and will definitely get Paralives after it’s released. I do like Life by You and am keeping an eye on how they are progressing. They definitely need to improve their humans. There seems to be no life in their facial features and I still don’t like the bodies but we’ll see how they look on early release. As much as I hate some of the things that EA does, I still love TS4. Not spending any more money on the packs (with the exception of the crystal pack) but they’re still my go-to game.
@@Sim-dil-e-iciousso somebody is "broke" or "cheap" because they don't want to spend 4 car notes worth of money on a game.....be logical and frl with yourself
@SimlikeitHot nobody is telling anyone how to spend their money, it's you that's gone out of your way to comment about other people's choices and opinions. EA/maxis have no idea who you are, and...I hope you're sitting down for this...will kill your favourite game without batting an eyelid the second it doesn't profit them enough. They do not care if you like the game. They killed sims 1, the sims 2, are doing it with the sims 3 and will absolutely do it with the sims 4. Sims city is dead because they didn't care. The game is broken. They have no loyalty to you or any other customers and don't care enough to fix the game. But I guess that's why you're salty. You know damn well that with the competition, all it takes is for just one to get a whiff of success, and the sims is done. But guess what? That's not our fault. It's EA and Maxis' own doing.
It's very promising, it is really promising. The building and arranging furniture are intuitive and let you get settle in quickly. Choice of styles is decent (altough you always want more hehe) and the freedom of building is quite good. I can't get my lamps to illuminate my rooms, even if I switch time, they don't seem to turn on at all ? At least I don't see any difference in brightness or illuminated / shady areas througout the house.
To clarify for those who don't know the difference between "coop" and "mmo". Coop means its a single player game that has the option to invite friends to play with. An mmo is a game where everyone is forced to play on a single server/world together. This game is confirmed to be coop NOT mmo. So stop with all the "multiplayer will ruin this" nonsense.
i love this... i love those furniture pieces (especially the corner couch) and the lines that help you align windows to the same height. i hope we are able to take builds we make in this beta and use them in the full release version of the game edit: oh my god the pillows on the couches...... they ate i'm so much more excited for this game the more i watch you build here
I saw the pic of I guess the characters/avatars and became excited. I wanted to see them. Because at the end of the day the characters are what's going to draw ppl in. I mean can't be a life simulation game without the simulated life. Still very happy that you brought it to our attention. Because I had zero clue. Thank you for the update. 😊
Ouuuu, this is brand new to me!! There are so many life sim games coming out that I know will give The Sims the jolt they need to step up. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll check it out and hubby and I will check out Factor also. 🤗
My only problem with the coop part is the trolls. If you play with friends and you do not know them well some may sabotating your project. If the game is entirely singleplayer or single plus have multiplayer option to play then it is an ideal game. Looks good but of course there are things what could be better and needs improvements. At this point everything is a pros if you want alternatives for the Sims and the competition on this hopefully will raise the quality aswell.
Multiplayer Sims games will help to ensure that I have funds for my retirement! (Thank you for letting us know :) I realize that some people are looking forward to it, but multi-player is not for me.
I'm not really interested in a multiplayer life simulator. But for those who are, that's good for them. If it's not always online, I may take a look though.
I actually love the art style and i don't get how people find crappy para lives appealing over this. Para lives looks like a child's mobile game. The characters in vivaland are what life by you characters should have looked like.
I like what we can see of the graphics, although I really want to see the characters in-game as well before I decide how much I like it. I'll definitely try out the build demo, at least. If we've learned anything over the past week (year, really), it's that EA needs competition. The sooner TS4/Rene is not the only choice out there, the better.
Ever player is different, but I see not a lot potential in Vivaland and Paralives because the looks "too clean" ...... I just want more. The life simulations that looks interesting for me are: 1. The Sims 5 .... because it's possible to use custom content and script mods 2. Life by You .... I have heard that it will be possible to use custom content and script mods 3. Inzoi ... it's something new and could be intersting to see a game made of people from a total different cultural background, and if it's free to play I will give it 100% a try 4. Project Rene ... not much is know and that makes it interesting, also I trust in Maxis/EA to deliver a working game
@@tetramputectureAll I have heard is that Paralives will have custom content like custom hair, clothes and furniture, but not script mods. Script mods are for me more important because they can change the game mechanics. As I said before, Paralives looks "too clean" for me because I want script mods like Wicked Whims in a life simulation game.
I played it and didn’t care for it but I am NOT a builder. I’d rather play with the vivas than some houses 🏠. I wish the released the vivas along with the building.
I have ZERO desire to decorate with friends. It's so bizarre to me that this is the trend now with these types of games. Who are these people? (Must be teenagers.) I'd be making enemies if my friends tried to decorate with me... I would straight up tell them if something looked like crap and change it.
why does everyone hear “multiplayer” and panic if you wanna play alone, do that but it being a multiplayer or co-op game probably won’t make the game any worse than the sims and y’all play that 💀
Pixelade when Vivaland makes multiplayer: "yaaay it's amazing, what a good news" the sims 5 make it: " I hate it". Btw the art style looks cheap and bad like "life by you" (maybe a little better) but still not great. Looks to anonymous and plasticky. I love life is strange (my favourite game) and this looks nothing like that

For me as well, this art style is good, not too realistic, not looking like the sims 3 or LBY weird old pixelated and saturated graphics... its just perfect... I looked at the water in the background and wow, I am impress, also by the grass, much better than any other sim games out there or in developpement imo. Now, character creation will be very telling and animations quality for me. We all know LBY animations are 💩They can improve, but they still dont have a lot of time to do so, and the graphics is just not it at all, plus the dizzy purple UI, its a no no for me 🤢. Paralives is a special one, I am not crazy for the art style but prefer it to LBY for example, and the weird titootitoo cute language and coffee vibe game dont stick with me, its too cutesie imo... I love what I saw as gameplay footage possibilities, they are not copying the sims and its refreshing, but not sold on that one either. Now I am very intrigued by Vivaland...
I think the water should have been made more calm, amd then have it get that rough when weather is worse. It looks too rough for a sunny day and is a little distracting
@@ashleyjohansson230 We havent seen anything yet for gameplay, like just bad animations, and few work tasks... but there is no goals, nothing to strive for... I dont know, for what I have seen so far, these are feature in a game, but this is not gameplay... gameplay is like the sims 2 aspirations system and wants/fear... or even sims 4, you have goals to reach, gameplay is basically something you gotta do for something else to happen... otherwise those are just functionnalities... imo. Myself, I am not convince one single bit with life by you, this game needs tons of work, like still years of developpement to be up to a good standard. Graphic are shit, animations even worse lol, the going up or down staris is awful, same for the going into bed, same for cleaning, there extremely slow... we dont know yet if that game will be able to run without lags on high end pc, lets not forget beloved sims 3 with tons of crashes and excessive lags at the time, because even the best computer then could not run it properly... I have noticed a lot of low fps in the gameplay sessions they showed, but time will tell. There are so much more I need to know, because I have big doubts... There are a lot of nice functionalities and also, it comes with a lot, like cars etc... compare to the sims unfortunately but again, time will tell. I want it to succeed but I am skeptical to the max right now.
@@Klondike877 The fact that you can already walk into every buildings, its open world, can create the entire world and mod the entire game without 3rd party software, have cars, can have unique dialogue makes the game have more gameplay than sims 4 already. And of course there are no goals, its a life sim game. If you want an actual story, thats different than gameplay.
So, I have this thing with angles that I feel discomfort if they look too sharp. And this game is triggering that discomfort. So, yeah, not a fan at the moment.

I realized we are all trying to find another life simulation game that will fill the void that the EA has left intentionally.😢
@@Sim-dil-e-icious The guy who is happy spending 1200 dollars for a game that still has less than sims 3
If you enjoy you game sims 4 wtf are u doing here??
So stop with all the "multiplayer will ruin this" nonsense.
i love this... i love those furniture pieces (especially the corner couch) and the lines that help you align windows to the same height. i hope we are able to take builds we make in this beta and use them in the full release version of the game
edit: oh my god the pillows on the couches...... they ate i'm so much more excited for this game the more i watch you build here
I saw the pic of I guess the characters/avatars and became excited.
Im ready for a life sim game that has DIFFERENT gameplay than the Sims.
So, if you usually play solo, can you make friends to play with or do you have to play with people you already know?
My only problem with the coop part is the trolls. If you play with friends and you do not know them well some may sabotating your project. If the game is entirely singleplayer or single plus have multiplayer option to play then it is an ideal game. Looks good but of course there are things what could be better and needs improvements. At this point everything is a pros if you want alternatives for the Sims and the competition on this hopefully will raise the quality aswell.
Why are all of the videos of the Dream House demo just narrated speed builds :/
Multiplayer Sims games will help to ensure that I have funds for my retirement! (Thank you for letting us know :) I realize that some people are looking forward to it, but multi-player is not for me.
I will try factor meals thank you
I'm not really interested in a multiplayer life simulator. But for those who are, that's good for them. If it's not always online, I may take a look though.
not me going straight to steam while watching this on march 3rd and downloading it lol
The meals are soooo good. ❤
But can you build a family with a friend on the game
I got a free factor box and I can't wait to get it the meals sound so yummy
I actually love the art style and i don't get how people find crappy para lives appealing over this. Para lives looks like a child's mobile game. The characters in vivaland are what life by you characters should have looked like.
ouuu looks so good
This was the light at the end of the tunnel after what EA has done with the Sims 4
Woohoo! 😻
Inzoi will be a leader
I like what we can see of the graphics, although I really want to see the characters in-game as well before I decide how much I like it. I'll definitely try out the build demo, at least. If we've learned anything over the past week (year, really), it's that EA needs competition. The sooner TS4/Rene is not the only choice out there, the better.
I sub just found your channel 😊
I won't be buying this because I have no one to play with. But I'm excited to try the demo tomorrow
So, life sims are the trend now?
@@Sim-dil-e-icious No, only one. Doesn't matter what others think of Sims 4, it only matters what I think of Sims 4.
So is this a dollhouse building game?
Ever player is different, but I see not a lot potential in Vivaland and Paralives because the looks "too clean" ...... I just want more.
The life simulations that looks interesting for me are:
1. The Sims 5 .... because it's possible to use custom content and script mods
2. Life by You .... I have heard that it will be possible to use custom content and script mods
3. Inzoi ... it's something new and could be intersting to see a game made of people from a total different cultural background, and if it's free to play I will give it 100% a try
4. Project Rene ... not much is know and that makes it interesting, also I trust in Maxis/EA to deliver a working game
For the record, idk about Vivaland but Paralives will have custom content/mods too
@@tetramputectureAll I have heard is that Paralives will have custom content like custom hair, clothes and furniture, but not script mods. Script mods are for me more important because they can change the game mechanics.
As I said before, Paralives looks "too clean" for me because I want script mods like Wicked Whims in a life simulation game.
then go play the sims.
@@itsmattqIt's about new games that are still not released ......
I played it and didn’t care for it but I am NOT a builder. I’d rather play with the vivas than some houses 🏠. I wish the released the vivas along with the building.
Literally everyone is challenging The Sims franchise 😂. EA is shaking even more than a Karen at a BBQ cookout with black people
@@Sim-dil-e-icious who knows? Maybe her son's girlfriend invited her out of politeness
Damn, why you comin 4 meee 😭
The build / buy looks like it needs a lot of work.
EA... unless you truly listen to the wishes of you players base... you're toast.
Finnaly you / someone coverez it Ive been pestering all you sim players to review this 😂
Looks like a good idea but the coop is an immediate nah for me wish them all the luck tho 😊
Its better with coop because its optional for friends only. Not like an mmo where strangers can just join without consent.
Steam does say the full game is also Single Player, not just Co-op and LAN Co-op! So I assume we can play alone if we want! 😉
"wow. you don't say..."
I like the buildings but I find the characters from the trailer seem so generic looking and uninteresting that it's not overly appealling to me
Well if this is coming out then maybe Sims 5 won’t be multiplayer like many have speculated
I have ZERO desire to decorate with friends. It's so bizarre to me that this is the trend now with these types of games. Who are these people? (Must be teenagers.) I'd be making enemies if my friends tried to decorate with me... I would straight up tell them if something looked like crap and change it.
why does everyone hear “multiplayer” and panic
if you wanna play alone, do that but it being a multiplayer or co-op game probably won’t make the game any worse than the sims and y’all play that 💀
Pixelade when Vivaland makes multiplayer: "yaaay it's amazing, what a good news" the sims 5 make it: " I hate it".
Btw the art style looks cheap and bad like "life by you" (maybe a little better) but still not great. Looks to anonymous and plasticky.
I love life is strange (my favourite game) and this looks nothing like that
The way it still snaps without the grid looks so annoying
omg so early
you didn't mention inZOI at all, it's coming out early access Q4 of this year as well
It looks ehhh there’s nothing interesting or unique about it feels lifeless
so we can all agree the Sims is about to lose to it's younger competitors
The art style is getting a thumbs down
life by you, paralives and this piece look the same to me
How's that? To me, Paralives and Life by You look as different as they can be, they're just the same genre.
@@Sim-dil-e-iciousSuper Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog are both platformers yet give off entirely different vibes and have their own fandoms. Similar is not the same and PalWorld is kicking pokemon in the teeth right now despite a similiar monster catching mechanic.
@@Sim-dil-e-icious The gameplay is the most important part and now, sims 4 has no gameplay, its just a dollhouse, so anything will be good also, they aren't a waste of money when sims 4 with all DLC are now over 1200 dollars
@@Sim-dil-e-iciousThe sims did it first if they hey copy something from one of these new games hopefully it will be gameplay because that’s what it’s lacking 😂😂😂. This is not a new concept in video history😂😂😂.
@@Sim-dil-e-icious
Life by you also has supermarkets and salons with an entirely different look. The characters dont speak a made up language either.
that ui looks exactly like paralives' ui.... i don't like that tbh
Eh sims is better still for me.
this game doesn’t look beautiful for me and I don’t like idea to play with friends.
sadly the graphics is not my type of thing, not interested :/
@@CallMeGameGirl Yeah totally I agree! I just think its looking good when agitated for sure. But a calm water when the weather is nice, I agree.
i want life by you the most, it looks like it will have the most gameplay rather than just being a doll house simulator like sims 4
It's funny to think that all these new life simulator games come from the disappointments people have from The Sims 4
So, I have this thing with angles that I feel discomfort if they look too sharp. And this game is triggering that discomfort. So, yeah, not a fan at the moment.
