Sir J I Kathar is a gem when it comes to 6th Schedule, very keen and passionate. He gives a very positive Nationalistic approach through the corridors of 6th Schedule for tribal people. I was fortunate to have known him personally since my Student days in Gauhati Medical College. He is the only person who i have seen works for the socio political issues of North East tribals without any prejudice for his own. Thank you Daniel too...This is by far your best video and plz do some more researched interview on 6th Schedule with Sir J I Kathar. Support from Meghalaya 👍👍👍

Dimasas are smaller in population compare to Karbis, but they have more enlightened and committed leaders. They are politically much conscious and United than the Karbis. Dimasas are a recognized scheduled tribes all over Assam and in other northeastern states, but the Karbis are not yet recognised as scheduled tribes in areas out Karbi Anglong. Karbis should learn from the Dimasas how unity and cooperation had made them to march ahead in all spheres of life.

That time was Congress Day, Joybhadra Hagjer was Assam Education Minister in 1969, I have seen Myself, when He visited the Kaki High school in Nowgaon District. HAD Minister and other Portfolio holder Minister was Lt Chatrasing Teron. Both of they represented to Assam Assembly from " North Cachar Hills and Mikir Hills District Council". N.C.Hills and Mikir Hills District Council is Purely SIXTH Schedule area and Autonomous Distric. Now the Tribals are remain 2 Tribals only Karbis and Dimasas in N.C.Hills and Mikir Hills District. Not other Tribals are included in this Our District. In 1990/1991 Census (Population Census), Central Government have instructed that not to writte others Tribes to ST(Hills), except Karbi and Dimasa to be allowed. So the other People's analysis are useless. Thank you.
