Max combines extreme agression with extreme refinement. That's a pretty hard thing to pull off, but he does it. A lot of people only seem focused on one of those two traits and blind to the other. It's not for nothing that he can only be compared to the greats of the sport, because they exhibited simular traits.
@@CameronF1TVA big issue is people today judge without any real knowledge and with blind fanaticism/agendas. They assume things happen automatically at Maxs level and a lot of it is gifted. Dominant machinery is more temporary as dominant driver ability, which is always the big F1 equalizer and will always eventually reveal the most capable drivers. Lando might be a great driver, but against the likes of Lewis and Max needs that dominant car to be able to rise above them, and even with that car dominance, it needs sufficient amounts of that to win a championship. And that is quite unlikely. Off course we are looking at moving targets and who knows how much further Lando can develop, or Oscar for that matter, but I am afraid they may not have the minerals to beat Max... Ever....
Great video, Cameron. I loved to see how happy you were when Lewis won at Silverstone… you just couldn’t stop grinning! To have somebody talk like this about another driver is, unfortunately, exceptional nowadays. Fortunately however, you can still go to a circuit like Spa, have a Mercedes fan on your left, a Ferrari fan on your right and have fantastic discussions with each other. And a few digs at each other, of course. Thank you sincerely for extending that feeling to social media, because this is a place where that friendly rivalry and appreciation for the sport, including other teams’ accomplishments, is being weighed and found wanting.
Cameron if you keep calling Lewis “Sir Lewis” than you should start calling Max “Sir Max” considering Max was knighted in 2022 “Officier in de Orde van Oranje Nassau” which is a title granted by the monarch of the Netherlands 🇳🇱!!! And considering your admiration for Lewis and Max…
Thanks brother for saying which I can't without being called biased. So this is for all my neighbors across the river; Sir Lewis Hamilton is in the eyes of most Dutch F1 purists the only which can match MV. We are blessed being witness them racing each other. But for objective comparison, they should have raced each other when they were at the same age. So in my humble opinion, Sir Lewis is still the GOAT for now! And only the future will tell us more! Love watching you. And Sir Peter Windsor whom I following since the late 80s. Greetings G
Upon WHAT evidence do you base your claim that Lewis can match Max ? Lewis didn't even join F1 until he was 22 and never came close to what Max has done when he WAS in his prime in a no-cap rocketship - Look at Ham's losses to teammates and Max's 👌 - says it all - Max would absolutely OWN Button and Rosberg - they'd quit in frustration - yet they smoked HAM - one small piece of a HUGE picture . In EVERY way Max is better than HAM - it's not even close.... seriously.
@@baljuw That's not evidence - that's your most humble opinion which are like rectums - everyone has one - The stats and the eye test say you're dead wrong.
BTW, if you love sport and think Max is something special. Research Mathieu van der Poel, the son of Adrie van der Poel. His grandpa also ride bike. They are one in a century.
I must say Cameron, after Lewis' win last week, you are still able to recognize the existence of Max and his skill set, unlike all of the other English speaking podcasts (except PW of course). You schooled Mr. Quick Stop F1 on his own show by articulating points about Max along with F1 past and present that wasn't even on his radar. You are right about the convergence. In order to discredit MV, everyone says it's just the car, now they are seeing otherwise. Notice the subs and views are increasing nicely and that's because you are different by keeping it hard F1 not snowflake F1.
The crazy thing is. After the cobbs crash. And the next race I believe was bottas going straight and then the tire failure like 3 races in a row it seemed like he was in an accident or incident. And then it's like it never happened next race was right back on it. And this isn't pressure. When verstappen and Lewis had that year was pressure you could feel it through the t.v. that final lap I about passed out from watching what was about to go down. I don't even know how he could function thinking about the quick overtake let alone just drive the car. McLaren have went to far to fast. Red bull strategy is always 100% red bull pit stops are 100% red bull have the best all around team. Besides checo. Max is at 100 every aspect of the team from years of chasing needing those calls needing those pit stops everything to be perfect there just perfect every where
All things equal the reality is if Red Bull would swap their strategy team with Ferrari (and increasingly McLaren), Max would come 3rd - if even that -, most of times.
Cameron, I think Max is listening to you…last interview he said that this way…the hard way, is better for f1 and the fans…instead of being 20 sec ahead 🤣
Any hamilton fans who don’t realize that Lewis’ 9 th..? Sorry 8 th title will be hard fought with a more savy driver in Max and excellent pit wall + pit lane team. As much as I will place my bets on Lewis to consistently handle a challenger up front over Max, Max has leveled up more than his counterparts in the last 3 years.. I was very impressed with the maturity in his onboards those last 14 laps of silverstone.. he did very well under pressure and resembled Lewis in terms of race maturity
@@CameronF1TV But you say it talking about what Max *is doing* ...eg you say "there are not many people who have put on a set of Nomex who can do what he is doing in real time" ...Max can't drive (in fact nobody can do anything) after the fact, or in retrospect...so I'm having difficulty understanding quite what you mean by the expression
I respectfully disagree with you buddy. There are and have been other supreme drivers and max is one of them. One of the elite. Not the elite. And I think you may be mistaken. But your videos are very good sir.
Max was NEVER schooled CERTAINLY never by HAM - HAM shunted Max at Silverstone justto get back in contention for WDC - not to mention the Bottas bowling ball inchident etc ...MaX WAS ROBBED - a 23 year old kid in a Honda SCHOOLED HAM - so bad he had to resort to clown tactics - in the end Karma got him - and HAM still had a chance to pit for tyres and win and even failed that - RUMOURS of HAM's greatness are GREATLY ...exaggerated 🥱
Blah blah blah Max is a brilliant driver. For the past two seasons, he had the fastest , the best car , the car “that could “because of the cheating. Remember that? That’s history now. “ In real time” the other cars have now come to life and logically, so have the drivers. So Max is no longer winning every race, but we have to continue this discourse about how great he is. A genius. Well, when he has seven “championships “ in real time” then and only then is this conversation relevant. In the meantime, we can enjoy, admire, promote his talent. But for heaven’s sake, Maximilian Verstappen has a long way to go.
Does it hurt so much? And by the way, in F1 there is a huge difference between being the best and being the most successful driver. You must be one of those new ‘fans’. Or just a fanboy.

Ever....
Haven't we seen what Max worth, his metal and die hard racer back in 2021? just asking!
As long as the number 2 stays behind him he'll extend his lead.
Certain comments have disappeared... comments from "passionate" Max fans, challenged by those calling out such "passion"...
Sky F1 will go into therapy and soul searching when Max signs for Mercedes in 2026 (which he will do)
Yes ‘Beyond the Grid’ is good but Ffs, ‘Formula For Success’ is Eddie and DC 👀💯👍🏼🤣
Nice Cam, good you saw the Oyster Yacht pod too 👍🏼😜
Its not like redbull are 5tenths away ... its too close between them and Mclaren
@@remconoordermeer7015 wow. This comments warms my heart! Far too kind. To have these conversations really is the point of the channel. 🍻
Like max wasn't under pressure in 2021. He even said you won't survive a long time in f1 if every year was like 2021
Cameron if you keep calling Lewis “Sir Lewis” than you should start calling Max “Sir Max” considering Max was knighted in 2022 “Officier in de Orde van Oranje Nassau” which is a title granted by the monarch of the Netherlands 🇳🇱!!! And considering your admiration for Lewis and Max…
Thanks.
Thanks brother for saying which I can't without being called biased.
So this is for all my neighbors across the river;
Sir Lewis Hamilton is in the eyes of most Dutch F1 purists the only which can match MV.
Greetings G
Brilliant points G. Very very well made
You're too kind Sir 😉
Upon WHAT evidence do you base your claim that Lewis can match Max ? Lewis didn't even join F1 until he was 22 and never came close to what Max has done when he WAS in his prime in a no-cap rocketship - Look at Ham's losses to teammates and Max's 👌 - says it all - Max would absolutely OWN Button and Rosberg - they'd quit in frustration - yet they smoked HAM - one small piece of a HUGE picture . In EVERY way Max is better than HAM - it's not even close.... seriously.
The evidence of impossible comparement era's.
By the way, je spreekt ook Nederlands neem ik aan?
Greetings and fijne dag
@@baljuw That's not evidence - that's your most humble opinion which are like rectums - everyone has one - The stats and the eye test say you're dead wrong.
Good drivers drive by the seat of their pants whereas Max drives by the hairs on his butt ….😊
So, you mean: Mathieu van der Poel (6x + 1x), Jeffrey Herlings (5x) and Max Verstappen (3x)
Go, dutchies go !
Max is at 100 every aspect of the team from years of chasing needing those calls needing those pit stops everything to be perfect there just perfect every where
❤
All things equal the reality is if Red Bull would swap their strategy team with Ferrari (and increasingly McLaren), Max would come 3rd - if even that -, most of times.
Cameron, I think Max is listening to you…last interview he said that this way…the hard way, is better for f1 and the fans…instead of being 20 sec ahead 🤣
As long as you a SLH supporter through n true… say what you want about max lol 😂😂
With all that Max does. They will never give him driver of the day lol.
It all happens "in real time" as opposed to what? fake time?
After the fact. Retrospect.
Just call him Max. Everybody else does. Even Max himself.
Contrarian on this channel sometimes.
Please stop calling him Maximillian...cringe.... makes my toes curl 😂 good content though ❤
His full name is Max Emilian Verstappen though!
Thanks.
I'll try my best.

I respectfully disagree with you buddy. There are and have been other supreme drivers and max is one of them. One of the elite. Not the elite. And I think you may be mistaken. But your videos are very good sir.
What is this channel here, if not so that we can have the debate and respectfully disagree? Too kind 🍻
Comment
You're a legend Visual 🍻
When it mattered most, the biggest race of his life max was schooled in AB21 until masi struck
@@nicholasojiako7220 🙌 Lewis put 10s on him, then 20s after the pitstop checo's defensive attempt 🙈
@@prestonhartlief Towards the end of the 2021 season, the w12 was much faster than the rb16b. So that's not as impressive as you think it is LOL
I appreciate your views on Hamilton However he doesn't even come Close to Verstappen, the "REAL GOAT" !!!
You call Max by his middle name but mention Michael Jordan with no Jeffrey, now that's criminal.
Uffff 😭
Blah blah blah
Max is a brilliant driver.
It's not important when someone becomes an F1 enthusiast. The why defines your understanding of the most exciting sport in the world!!
Your conclusion about the difference between DC's regarding their cars tells us that the why is missing in your case. Let me make it clear to you....
What is good comes fast!
The best drivers (multiple DC's) always end up in the fastest cars.
And at last, downgrading champions in favor of other champions is disrespectful to all! It's infact so alien to F1.... Bet you're a hooligan.
Greetings G
Petulant crash out, cost cap car, stolen glory, 2X champ, see Zak Brown. Stop Glazing Bruv. Lando would have beat him if he hadn’t wrecked his car. Oh the humanity, are you being coerced Bruv? Blink twice.
could easily make a similar list about lewis EASY! won first wdc with the spygate car (stolen ferrari aero data,100 million fine for mclaren, no bans though) stumbled over the finish like a wet dog after glock got paid off or made a horrible mistake...
started his hybrid era with 100 horse power more than any rival. 2 second faster in qualifying on certain tracks..while you complain how max scrapes his poles together one tenth at a time... every time it "hammertime" they turned on the cheat mode/party mode.. turbo boost aye and left everyone in the dust..talk about stolen glory. unfair competition..
about 10 times he punted drivers off unlike anything max has ever done.. socalled pit manouver.. and has an entire catalogue of vague and amateurish driving.
and lando wouldnt have done shh was on his toes with desperate moves. What his plan was divebombing the outside is still a mystery...

Zak Brown is a Ahole.....its a shame that he is the CEO of McLaren....a big crybaby
@@dco1019 factually inaccurate. Max finished 20 seconds down the road and set a record for consecutive races won. SLH had to fight other Champions and Nico in his own camp. I never mentioned poles.
@@kngbusy548 its factually correct though. Every little thing i said is literal..and he only fought tm nico for a wdc, lewis made him worldchamp. he validates lewis cause lewis validates him ?
dont thinks so buddy.
and he fought other champs in vastly inferior cars besides like a half year also.. if that wasnt lewis fumbling the bag.
you talk asbout costcap when merc injected 3 or 4 unnecessary new combustion engines in the pool at the end of the 21 wdc to run some good ol' cheat modes (you really thought ham was suddenly much better at the end there huh?) count that money first before you worry about a 400k costcap infringement.
"I never mentioned poles."
you and your ilk 'bruv' you whine how dominant max his car is while hamilton had a car that was routinely more than a second quicker in Q and sometimes even 2 seconds. biggest taint on the f1 'competition' i ever saw.
