Scott, thank you for all that you do for this community. We look forward to all your videos and are always happy to see a new one pop up. Just a heads up, those shavings from the wood and any other saw dust you collect that ISNT from treated wood; you should throw them in a pile or in the garden beds to encourage your mycelium and it gives homes to all the microbes your soil desperately needs. It will change your soil for the better!!
From behind.... always! A part of my soul died the other week when Gaston was robbed over night, even more so for me as it was in my part of the country. One of the good guys who brings us all of the great toys. Great to see him back!
This was the first time seeing Gaston and Scott, but now I am hooked. The absolute giddiness of Gaston while showing the new tools is infective. Great series, and I'll continue watching. Subscribed.
From Behind 🤣 Good to see Gaston again. That Mafell saw is insane. Could see so many applications for that from timber framing to doing joinery for furniture.
"They came from.... behind". Great video, something for every wood enthusiast in there. The saw blew me away, that cut with minimal use of the force, what a thing. Cheers Scott and Gaston.
Some fantastic tools, great to see Gaston again, living his passion. All pica users should know - FROM BEHIND 😂 Alas im in the UK so can't participate, but wanted to acknowledge Gaston. Great show as always, thanks Scott (and Jess) 👍
I would love it so much if there was a compilation of all of Gaston's appearances, but honestly he should have his own channel. Men love tools and without seeing him showing off new things on your channel I had no idea that so many cool things were out there. Aside from being able to enjoy oggling cool tools I think this would be massive for Gaston's business. He seems like such a lovely person and his passion and expertise are so wonderful to experience.
First found out about Piranha tools when Gaston appeared on SBC years ago. I have been buying my Japanese handsaws and RZ masks and filters from him ever since. Now that Philip Marcou mini bench...that is a thing of beauty.
The nfu50 is a beast, so many more applications then i first thought and with a bigger hose the vacuum is actually quite good. The rail system they incented for the circ saws is also added so you can even compound cuts for roofing etc. And for a big mafell tool it is relatively cheap😅
The garage shop is looking nice! Its so awesome that you have a friend that just stops by with all the new shinys. I love going to stores and shopping for the nifty tools but having someone bring a store to your house is a whole different story :D
Great episode it would be fantastic to have Gaston and Scott cover tools from around the world on a more regular basis. Oh and make sure you put it in from behind.
Pica pens…very important to load it “from behind”. Favourite comments from this amazing episode: “Are you enjoying your playdate?” “No offense, but I’m not interested” 😂 And Gaston’s face when you used the drop saw for the first time. 😂 A great laugh out loud way to start my morning. Thank you.
My friday ritual: Have a meal with the fam. Go sit outside in my selfmade "reclaimed" wood outdoor sofa, Pop a Karmeliet (Belgian beer) and watch an exiting episode of Scott! Please continue doing this!
Everyone needs a specialist to introduce new tools and to increase one's skill and efficiency. Gaston has that expertise and he knows what could be of interest and to use in your shop. What a good relationship you two have. The answer to the giveaway...From Behind
From behind!! I’m an engineer in Dunedin and the steel marking pencil looks wicked! Always a pleasure to watch you too on a toy play date! Cheers for the content
In Germany we use those ''saws'' (We call them Kervenfräse) to cut the birdsmouths in our rafters all at once. For big roofs it can be a big timesaver. We even have a bigger and older one also by Mafell at the company I work at, but nowadays I would't buy them because usually the framing is completely precut in big machines like a CNC, and if you want to cut them yourself a saw that goes to 60° does the same thing in two cuts and is cheaper and more versatile.
From behind, always! It's been a number of years since I first made my purchase from Piranha tools thanks to watching this channel and Gaston with his truck of tools. It was an RZ mask which started a downward spiral of envy of all the lovely tools on the website. Looking forward to getting the hikoki 18g nailer once I've saved to for it!
Hi Scott & Jess. Its a pleasure watching your u tube videos. Its lovely to see Gaston with his tools. Can't wait to see you and the old get a get together. Loved seeing your home referb but would be nice to you back site once again. Best regards to you and Jess, From Wayne in Cornwall, UK.
You put the lead from behind lol😂.Wow amazing tools. My first time watching and I'm impressed by some of the beautiful amazing tools especially the craftsmanship and quality of the tools
Always from behind clearly! Thanks Gaston and Scott for all the shared knowledge! I've been watching both from the distance and now that I'm in the same country I hope that I can find any of you somewhere for a catch up! Cheers!
These are the best episodes with Gaston love them. Love thr pika products put the lead from the rear i can never forget that. Of special note the mini workbench is a work of art.
From behind! So nice to see nice people like Gaston again……always informative, always happy! Only one problem……..I can’t answer Scott’s question, how many squares does one need?
You put it from behind :) $5000 for the saw is nice I've seen something similar years ago on construction site where framer recessed every stud in top and base plate. But he was quite old and i haven't seen it done since. I know its a good practice but no one does it this days.
for the sake of cleaning your saw blade: I worked at a cabinet shop that had a massive altendorf sliding table saw and we would clean the blade about once every two weeks because of all the residue from plywood glues melting on it. We also used simple green. definitely makes a difference, try putting paste wax on your blades and fence after you clean them, the wood flies through.
From behind … always! An inspiration for my own renovations watching the show and always exciting to see all the new gear coming out that I can’t afford!
That's the second time someone recommended simple green to clean blades... I have a bottle of it sitting in the shed that we bought to clean moldy siding with but we switched to Mold Control which works much better. Time to clean my blades!
Just a reminder there are lots of spam accounts and bots claiming to be me. I will never ask you to add me on Telegram or WhatsApp. Only accounts with the verified tick are me. Cheers!
Yeah I thought so I had that happen to me today claiming I'd won something
luckily you have only smart people watching and following you and not stupid enough to react on some bullshit
Scott, thank you for all that you do for this community. We look forward to all your videos and are always happy to see a new one pop up. Aww man, I thought that was too good to be true. Better luck next time.
Where’s my price?! 🥲
From behind.... always!
A part of my soul died the other week when Gaston was robbed over night, even more so for me as it was in my part of the country. One of the good guys who brings us all of the great toys. Great to see him back!
😮😮 what. That's soooo sad. He's such a humble man.
From behind! 🤙
Yeah I hear that! To rob a tradesmen is bad enough but to rob Santa.... unforgivable!
I missed Scott&Gaston showing us some of the weirdest tool like kids in a candy store ❤
Great comment as usual Dave.
Gaston seems ok Scott is a little suss?
GASTOOOOOOOOOOOON!
the first comment, with 1 word that I understand And sign.
Gaston is the man 🇲🇽 🇦🇷
@@JoJoTavern the "postman" for the tool. Santa Claus for every day.
I always love when Gaston shows up in the videos. he makes it feel like Christmas every time!
This was the first time seeing Gaston and Scott, but now I am hooked. The absolute giddiness of Gaston while showing the new tools is infective. Great series, and I'll continue watching. Subscribed.
This little thing you and Gaston have here, coupled with the SBC video quality and general good vibes of the channel is something really special
totally agree.
Great to see Gaston again. As always, great tools and humor! Do a monthly! Enjoy your weekend!
I love Gaston, what a legend. Always love the new tools episodes. Thank you Scott for blessing us all with Gaston.
Hi ,Scott. I've been messaged by some one claiming to be you but I'm not sure they are you. Just thought you should know.
@@danielharphamgist8029 same here!
I will never get sick of Scott and Gaston, What a duo! Don't forget to insert the lead from behind.
The mini workbench with the planes on is absolutely stunning.
Makes me want to try and make one.
From Behind 🤣
Good to see Gaston again. That Mafell saw is insane. Could see so many applications for that from timber framing to doing joinery for furniture.
Mafell should sponsor a timed timberframe barn raising competition.
Cool to see some modern machining-style tools being made for woodwork.
"They came from.... behind". Great video, something for every wood enthusiast in there. The saw blew me away, that cut with minimal use of the force, what a thing. Cheers Scott and Gaston.
What a great episode. Love these Gaston episodes sprinkled in every couple of months or so.
I have this tool box and its amazing. A brilliant mechanism. Everyone who sees it is floored by how great it is.
Some fantastic tools, great to see Gaston again, living his passion.
All pica users should know - FROM BEHIND 😂 Alas im in the UK so can't participate, but wanted to acknowledge Gaston.
Great show as always, thanks Scott (and Jess) 👍
Greetings from Mafell headquarters in Oberndorf ✌️
Gaston, you should show Scott our Erika 85EC :D

I’ve had my Pica for over a year. I just now put a new lead in “From Behind” for the first time. I’ll never forget now. Thanks Gaston!

Alway great to see Gaston with his woodwork pawn. Thanks for the latest exciting episode Scott.👍👍

You put it from the back. That is good advise in general and not only for the Pica pencils.

Mafell make some of the best tools. So good to see them in the southern hemisphere. 👍🏽
