Hey Sue…… a great remedy for bites and stings is Vicks Vapourub. Keep a jar in the fridge (it melts very easily). Once bitten, apply a big blob on the bite, not just a wipe over, but a blob. Let it sit on the bite and in around 5 minutes the itch or sting calms right down. It must be the menthol in the Vicks that does the job. Another great video too.
Deryk is just like a big kid. I love your laugh Sue, it infectious. Love you both, you make me smile and laugh. I hope when Hugh and I start out adventures we can a bit like you guys. Always look on the positive side.
Loved your way getting into the creek Derrick! Beautiful spot that Chris and Sian have worked hard on. Yes agree with that river camp. Texas is an awesome camp along with Nindigully Pub. Many a good night in that place.
Pub stays are my Kryptonite! Love them so much 😂 it costs a fortune but well worthwhile. Coast is good but I reckon inland is awesome too. Great episode guys!
hi I noticed you had to borrow a handheld two way radio in my personal opinion. You should have one in the vehicle especially if you’re travelling on roads with large trucks and also a full-time reverse camera. I would hate to see you have an accident as I enjoy your videos. Please have a serious thought about doing this.
We do have one in the ute that unfortunately at this time was not working. We do have a handheld and went flat so we borrowed one for the day while our was charging. 💯 agree, Should not be travelling without one
Hi Sue & Derek, just wanted to say that my partner and I watch quite a few different Australian caravanning "vloggers", but you guys are definitely our favourite. Keep up the good work! It's great that youre so down-to-earth and relatable. Stay safe out there and maybe when we get our new van, we might catch up with you guys somewhere out on the tracks.
Thanks for another great episode, isnt Agora beautiful! 😊 Was interesting seeing how you juggle the travel around work. Looking forward to next weeks epsiode!
He absolutely loves it. Chris and Sian have done such an amazing job on the property. Can't wait to return at some stage and see what they have done. Have a fantastic week
Hi 👋 yes Bobby is my little water partner in crime, we both make a B-line for the water on all occasions! The property is coming along nicely and they have some amazing future plans for it.
Another great episode, nice to see the man in the water. Nindigully is a great stop, we camp further along the river and stayed 2 nights. Beers at happy hour were $5, and we donated to Royal Flying Doctors (money pinned to the roof). Just wondering if your chains are the right length, they look a bit long or is it just the way you have them while camped? Safe travels.
That's awesome, wow you can't complain at $5 per beer 😊yes Deryck doesn't often get wet so it was lovely that he enjoyed himself! The chains are a tad long. We need to take one or two links off. Have a lovely week ahead!
Great episode guys 🙌🏼 thank you so much for stopping in & seeing our new property. Your swimming scene was hilarious 😂 that big tree you climbed through has since been removed lol We really enjoyed catching up finally, definitely super keen to plan another session in the near future.
We love how much fun you guys have both always laughing, love it. This episode we loved seeing how you juggle Sues full time work. As a we approach our plans to take off we have been looking at online job options so thanks for the insight. Derick with our canopy we found we had some from the bed itself too as they are not 100% waterproof as need to drain. We also installed some dust reduction fans in ours from Rogue Canopies. Simple install and hope they will help reduce dust. 🤞😂 Matt and Leisa.
Derych getting into the creek 😂, you guys are hilarious, we’re gearing up to head off in May 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I was doing the fuel delivery at Gunalda when I charged you for a selfie haha.. Hope to see you out there 🍻
Look at two things with the dust, a small pop up vent on roof of canopy up the front arb do them there about 100mm long as u travel they push the air into the canopy and plus let it vent when stopped and look at a mob called GRUNT They do extra seals for ute tailgates enjoying your show we do alot of inland caravaning ourselves but it's good to see u do coastal stuff just gives us broader look at what to experience and what we could expect while we r travelling ,look at a Uhf ,go electophone 5watts they build one with a short Ariel and one bit longer get that one ,if u can afford it, have a look at a personal emergency beacon cost about 300 bucks but if something happens realy bad and it happens to be life death , no ones around ,press the button. and someone will come looking FLATLANDER AND THE DIGGER
Absolutely loved this ep. We were at Agora Hideaway 23rd to the 27th Dec. Loved meeting Big Oz Explorers. Sian and I celebrate our birthday on the same day 🙂 We had a tagalong of the property. Spectacular views. Except Xmas Day was 38 deg and us Canberrans were dying LOL. OMG... We will definitely return it was so lovely. We made new friends with our neighbours who just happened to have his birthday on the 27th. Ours was the 28th..... Dereck, you drove out the way we drove in. What did you think of the steep hill going down. We went up it and I thought I wasn't going to make it LOL. We are in a 300 LC. I said no way am I coming down this hill. I noticed you didn't film once you went through the little water crossing then back onto bitumen. Did you find it a bit hairy scary coming down??? Sue, I hope we get to have drinks one day. 🙂 safe travels guys Lv Tanya and Jason
I'm soooo glad you survived Goondoowindi. My relos live there and they reckon it is terrible. The "locals" steal a car and drive over the Mcintyre River (the border between QLD and NSW), burn it out and there is no repurcussions. The QLD and NSW cops cant do a thing. I think the authorities are in negotiations to rectify the situation. The wife and I have learnt (not the hard way, but nearly) to make sure everything is locked up and secure at night. Safe travels on your way down south. If you make your way to Tassie, shout out. BTW I have never done a pub stay as I know it will cost us at least $200/night!!!
Yes, that's us 💯. We are so lucky to be able to choose where we park it! Given the time of year and the state there is always a choice of beachbor bush! Happy travel guys!
Yea we have. We have actually noticed, when we put the window bin in we removed some grommets to bolt the bin in but when we tried putting the outboard in we realised we couldn't have the bin but never put the grommets back in. Also the tailgate does not seal properly as well which will be letting the dust in> we are working at getting this sorted
Another really good vid guys. Quick question for you - I notice you seem to travel with your BOS jockey leg attached (minus the bottom part). Have you had any issues with it working loose over vibrations etc? Thanks, Peter
I tried to camp there in early December, but didn't get an answer. Would of loved to have had my 70th there. I ended up at Tenterfield showgrounds Park. And birthday at Deep water hotel, which was great. The bridge had to be closed because of a young biker loosing his life so hotel was quiet busy. 😊 I'm heading back from Armidale nsw after my mates put her house and viechals in storage. Heading to Glen Innes to get my genie from post then Lismore for service. Onto Clarence River area. Then Vic.😊
Hi Sue. Me and my husband always look forward to your episodes. Just wondering what kind of selfie stick you have coz it seems to be transparent when you were holding it.
We have 1400 watts of solar on the roof with the option of plugging in a portable solar blanket. We have 900 amps of battery and so far it's been fantastic. the longest we have been off grid for is 8-9 weeks with only topping up water. They say you should try and double your battery system. So 900 amps of battery - !800 watts of solar but that also depends on the size of your van for the amount of solar you can get on the roof
It is such a great pub. We were there just before the pig races so it was pretty busy as well. No we didn't stop at one mile but will look it up for our next trip!

There’s nothing like a dusty outback pub 😊 or a beach front pub or really any pub you come across whilst travelling 🍺🍷Another great video 😊😊
This made me giggle, but yes agreed...any pub is always fun on your travels 😊
You guys crack me up, love your channel. Another epic episode. We call Bob the popcorn wombat, he so freaking funny and excitable

Yes both spots are worth a visit!
Your upbeat and positive attitude with your sense of humour should be noted by other blogger’s regards 👍🍺😆
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback, really appreciate it. Have a great week ahead! 😊
So glad to see you back for a new year
Thanks so much, we are super excited about 2025 on the road! 😊
We love how much fun you guys have both always laughing, love it.

That is some really great advice, thanks so much! 👍 I will let Deryck know to look into a vent and the extra seal.
hi Guys, great vid as usual, are you not running a stone stomper
The dust in the back comes from your tail gate, unless you have already sealed it. Cheers good vid
Thanks Werner, appreciate it!
Thank you. We are looking into how to seal the tailgate 😁

Oh wow that sounds terrible. Yes we got through alright but did make sure all was locked up. Yes the pub stays tend to end up pricey 😂
Go for a trip to BCF and buy a water snake electric boat motor for backup saves rowing and keeps the peace
Nice episode guys 🤙
Thank you 🙏
100% agree about inland travel. We are born and bread coasties, but as soon as we start heading west, we feel like the worries of the world wash away
Yes, that's us 💯. We are so lucky to be able to choose where we park it! Given the time of year and the state there is always a choice of beachbor bush! Happy travel guys!
@suelandolt6840 💯
Can't agree more 😁
Have you considered getting a canopy vent to put positive pressure into the canopy to keep dust out?
Yea we have. We have actually noticed, when we put the window bin in we removed some grommets to bolt the bin in but when we tried putting the outboard in we realised we couldn't have the bin but never put the grommets back in. I love how you guys just love life! Sue can i ask what you do for work on the road?
I tried to camp there in early December, but didn't get an answer.

Oh wow great to hear you had a great birthday. Travel plans sound great, here's to a busy 2025! Safe travels! 😊
very cool
Thanks Andrew, it was a busy week! 😊
Thank you
Country Pubs, did you goet a some of the Port that was on the bar?
Check it's label as you scanned the bar drinks.
It did taste a bit like Port 😊
Hi enjoyed your journey. Have you got shoo roos on you car they are not expensive and do a great job, we have been using them for years
Lovely ep guys
Thank you so much. So glad you enjoyed it 😁
Hi Sue. Me and my husband always look forward to your episodes. Just wondering what kind of selfie stick you have coz it seems to be transparent when you were holding it.
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback and the support. It's an insta 360. The stick disappears. 😊
You stayed not far from us at showgrounds I live Redcliffe area
⏰🤦🏼♀️…..it still doesn’t work?
😂😂😂 nope
@ oh Lordy. You should’ve asked Father Christmas for one ha ha 😝
Hey guys, how big of a solar setup do yous have and how long do you think you could stay off grid
We have 1400 watts of solar on the roof with the option of plugging in a portable solar blanket. We have 900 amps of battery and so far it's been fantastic. the longest we have been off grid for is 8-9 weeks with only topping up water.

@justvanningit Thanks for the info. We're trying to work out what size system we might need for our motorhome. 🥂🍻
I stayed for a bit for pig races, left before it rain. Soo crowded.
Yes it would have been very busy that weekend. Hope you had fun!
Hi just wondering what GoPro you are currently using
Using a GoPro 11
ALWAYS TAKE BACK corked wine.its ABSOLUTELY OK TO SAY WINES OFF
That's good to know, I will next time 😊
Ninga....gully pub is good. Did you stop at the one mile post?
It is such a great pub. We were there just before the pig races so it was pretty busy as well. No we didn't stop at one mile but will look it up for our next trip!
Can't agree more. Would have loved to have stayed more nights but had to keep going. Unfortunately didn't make the one mile post
