Theon is technically a hostage of the Starks. The rebellion Tyrion spoke of was Theon's family. The Stark's took Theon to ensure his father's good behavior. Ned raised Theon as more a family member than a hostage, hoping he'd have a positive influence on him.
That last scene with Cat leveraging her connections totally hooked me to the show, I got goosebumps from the superb acting. I always tell people to watch at least 4 episodes before they make a judgement.
Someone might have told you this already, but keep in mind Sansa is 13 in season 1 in the show, and 11 in the first book. So a lot of her actions and choices seem naive or childish, because she is a child. Also, even if it was the truth, if she had called Joffrey, THE PRINCE a liar, both she and Arya would probably be in way more trouble.
Arya was calling him a liar and told the truth about what happened. They would not have been in more trouble. Robert is life long best friends with Ned and was in love with his sister. If he didn't want the truth he would've just taken Joffrey's word for it instead of asking all 3 what happened.
@@smallbudoowell yeah duh she’s a spoilt brat, she was born lady and the daughter of the most powerful man in the north, and raised to dream of marrying a prince as that’s like the highest thing you could do as a woman and the way to higher your rank. So yeah she is spoilt

It's absolutely fine to watch the behind the episode, after. You are the only GOT reactor who does it, and I enjoy seeing what you take away from it. Love the reactions. Keep shinin' you crazy 💎 diamond! ❤
Ser Thorne (the Night's Watch trainer guy) hates Jon Snow because he was sent to the wall by Ned Stark (Jon's father). Because Thorne served the Targaryens. So there's a lot of resentment there.
I LOVE your reactions to this show. You're very observant! It makes it easy to watch and enjoy your journey. Youre doing great with the names and making connections, which i think is the most overwhelming the first season or two.
😂😂😂bro your reaction to Tyrion was awesome. A lot of reviews don't like him right away and I can't help but question their intuition lol. Tyrion is great right away.
Behind the episodes are not spoilers, however, they may explain parts of the episode that you were confused about. The show is thick - all kinds of plots and subplots and slow reveals - so if you are someone who absolutely cannot handle confusion, or not knowing what’s going on at all times, then it’s worth your while to watch those. Personally, I did not watch those the first time through and I did not understand every little thing going on, but I still loved it so
Sorry if this was mentioned already, but Alliser Thorne (the mean guy at the Wall who trains the recruits,) was a huge Targaryen loyalist who really hates Ned Stark, and in turn, Jon..you'll want to make note of this in case it comes into play later..
That scene with Ser Alliser is so tough. "You're boys still, and come the winter you will die. Like flies." after almost a whole episode of Jon making a mockery of him and what it means to be a brother of the night's watch Alliser kinda ate him up in that scene.
It might be safe, but it certainly doesn't seem safe, it gives him faster understanding of whats actually happening and ruining the adventure of discovering it, such as Brans dream where they explained abit too much considering where we are, the viewer is supposed to be slightly confused about that.
@@nyztan0 they always put the inside the episodes up right after the episode aired each week and personally i loved watching them right after in real time too

It is an enticing series. I couldn’t wait for each episode. Thank you for your service. ❤ I went Navy. It’s just like the Army but for people who don’t like to walk. 😂

the greyjoy rebellion was mentioned twice in this episode. I definitely recommend watching the history/lore videos after each season! It details the history from 8000 years before the show, explains the relevant houses/noble families, history of the night's watch, the white walkers, Targaryen dynasty, Robert's rebellion, prominent religions, and more! Robert's rebellion is extremely important throughout the entire show, as it is essentially how the Targaryen Dynasty came to an end after 300+ years (apart from Daenarys and Viserys of course). The videos have cool illustrations and are narrated by the actors! Quite a few reaction channels have made videos reacting to the lore videos and it really helps you to understand the lore (as it is so very complex). It's crazy to me that all of this comes from one man's mind. George RR Martin is a true genius. Keep up the GOT reaction videos! You have the best reactions and pick up really good details. I'm such a nerd for this show, I've watched it about 4 times lol.

Theon Greyjoy is what is known as a royal hostage or royal captive He was sent to the Starks to keep his father in line. The Starks treated him as a foster son rather than their prisoner
The behind the scenes are very good at not giving away spoilers. I have watched them all (after watching the entire series). They were each added post live run. However, do not go on a binge on UA-cam and watch all of them (which dont apply to you cuz you are watching as you go. They hint at storylines that will happen but they dont go into any details unless it happened in that particular story. So, you should be fine if you want to continue watching them. But like Blind Wave, some ppl just want to be totally ignorant of anything before watching future episodes.
You're the only person I've seen who watches the 'Inside the show' or whatever it's called. I don't see any harm in it. Most people who watched the show had never read the books, so they don't include any spoilers. Oh, I heard a hint about the three-eyed raven. But it should be fairly obvious that the 3ER is going to be important, or they wouldn't have shown it. That's TV 101. I see people have said why Aliser Throne is so anti-Jon. But you're right, he doesn't appear to train anyone, which is a bit infuriating. I say 'appear' because I think he does train them well, we just never see it, or get to see much beyond his hatred of Jon. That speech about being stranded beyond the Wall is a great piece of both writing and acting. Owen Teale is the actor's name, let's give him due credit.
You can keep watching the little recaps after, it’s just to remind you what all happened during the episode. I would say it’s good to do that every episode
About the inside the episodes at the end. You have to understand it when this came out back in 2011 it wasn’t the big deal that it is today. They kind of knew that they were going to be speaking to a small audience of loyal, book readers who would know at least the first few books of the story. That being said they knew there would also be first time people and they were very precious with the plot to not give away anything. I think you can safely keep watching there may be little hints like that one, but they’re never gonna spoil anything big for you. I think they’re definitely going to offer you more positives than negative.
As a military brat and my ex-husband‘s military, my entire male family are all or have been military have a Lotta respect for the fact that you didn’t let your drill sergeant get under your skin because that’s exactly what he was trying to do. And I have a lot of respect for the fact that you realize that and you Stroeve for being the best that you could be despite the negativity he was throwing your way. I can only hope other people that join the military will have that same ability because I think in some ways that undermines people who potential be good in the long run if they don’t let people get under their skin. 23:59
yes keep watching the the commentary at the end of the episodes I think it helps understand little things that you have missed or the reasoning behind certain scenes :)
Hey, keep those thoughts man. Right or wrong, it's always good to question what is going on behind what they show you. "Behind The Episode" summaries are good to watch, they won't be spoilers.
If you want to know some backstory I would advise you to watch "game of thrones conquests and rebellions". Its a 40 min video, you could find it on youtube, it explains a bit about aegon the conqueror but also at the end it explains everything going on right before the game of thrones series starts, the story leading up to it. It might be of help so you dont find things confusing sometimes. Maybe you could make a reaction video out of it?
When I went through boot my DI told me I would never make it through infantry training. I think they say those things to motivate you. He did tell me before I left for FT Polk that I would be fine.

25:20 just to say to your point it used to take weeks one (each) way to get to the North and because of how long the journeys used to take ,guests often used to stay for weeks while visiting so def not days lol they have horses not cars love from Chester 🇬🇧 nameday is still celebrated in some east European countries it's along the borthday. You used to choose a name for your child after a saint than every year depends on what day of the saint it is it's your name day if it's your saints name day I hope I make sense . So you have both once a year, anniversary of your birth day and your saints name day that you carry e.g. St.Isabel is on 16th of march so my name day is on that day.
I think its okay to watch the after the episode stuff it just helps you understand whats happening and whats important to pay attention too i dont think they will spoil anything :)
I am loving these reactions but I’d also love to say give Sansa room, she’s hated enough by the fandom for so many reasons beyond her control. Women especially like to hate her which is so sad. Of course you can’t control your feelings and reactions and I wouldn’t want you to, I just hope you keep in mind her age and wits. *wink*

St.Isabel is on 16th of march so my name day is on that day.
im surprised the deserter from the first ep managed to walk all the way over there alone
I think its okay to watch the after the episode stuff it just helps you understand whats happening and whats important to pay attention too i dont think they will spoil anything :)
Robert is so damn funny with his one liners, but my god he’s such a crappy king lol
Just to clarify Arya and Bran was shooting arrows at their Home in Winterfell...King Robert came to the North To get Ned....
"Idk let me count".
Bahahahahaha.
YESSSSS HE'S BACKKKK 🙌🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🙌🏼
I am loving these reactions but I’d also love to say give Sansa room, she’s hated enough by the fandom for so many reasons beyond her control. Women especially like to hate her which is so sad. Of course you can’t control your feelings and reactions and I wouldn’t want you to, I just hope you keep in mind her age and wits. *wink*
I would love to see a react for “The Expanse”. 6 seasons kind of a Game of Thrones in space!
Your discussion about morale and training is very insightful. Shitty morale doesn't do anybody any good
Bit harsh on Sam 🤣
The intros are killing me 😂😂😂😂
Viper, of #HouseVixen, here to pledge my allegiance to King Legenbarry. Long may he reign.
I’m back to catch up with you on my favorite show. Had to finish off the series with some other reactors so I wouldn’t by mistake do any spoilers.
2:05 - lol Hodor was written long before Pokemon or Harry Potter. More like Hodor is the OG Pokemon and Hagrid.
The first GOT book came out in August of 96, Pokemon February of 96 and Potter in 1997. Martin did start writing them in 91 but the creator for Pokémon was inspired in 1990 as was Rowling for the Potter series.
