An Ambedkarite analysis of SC-ST sub-categorisation by Abhishek Chauhan, advocate at Supreme Court of India, spoke in JNU during a public talk organised by UDSF (United Dalit Students' Forum) on August 16. The theme of the talk was "Dividing Dalits & Adivasis: Unraveling the Politics behind Sub-Categorisation of SC & ST".

Dr Abhay Kumar is an independent journalist and writer. He is currently teaching Political Science as Guest Faculty at NCWEB, University of Delhi and Urdu language to a group of students and researchers. In 2020, he earned his PhD from Centre of Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. His doctoral thesis was on Modern State, Secular Law and Minorities: The Cultural Politics of All India Muslim Personal Law 1973-2010. Earlier, he completed his Masters of Philosophy (Modern History) and Masters (International Relations with specialization in Politics) from JNU. He worked as a Delhi-based reporter with The Indian Express for almost one and half year after having studied Journalism from The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. He has a flair for writing and his articles have appeared in several reputed magazines, newspapers and web portals. They include 'Seminar Magazine, The Book Review, Forward Press, Mass Media, Milli Gazette, Two Circles.net, Countercurrents.org, Pioneer, Dainik Bhashkar, Dainik Jagran, India Today (Hindi), Inquilab, Siasat, Dawat Weekly, Wire (Urdu). Let me put a question, does SC ST politicians do inclusive politics, answer is No, so even if they got elected people in general don't see their leader in them, this aspect hinders in there representation in ministerial post, SC ST leaders once elected they don't demand things which is constitutionally possible but puts demands which is totally unconstitutional (example demanding reservation in private sector)

Dr. Ambedkar never advocated reservation to all class, this is false claim-------------in constituent assembly debate he gave following example ---------------- Let me give an illustration. Supposing, for instance, reservations were made for a community or a collection of communities, the total of which came to something like 70 per cent. of the total posts under the State and only 30 per cent. are retained as the unreserved. Could anybody say that the reservation of 30 per cent.as open to general competition would be satisfactory from the point of view of giving effect to the first principle, namely, that there shall be equality of opportunity? It cannot be in my judgment. Therefore the seats to be reserved, if the reservation is to be consistent with sub-clause (1) of Article 10, must be confined to a minority of seats.

Mr Child Lawyer please go and study about sub castes and try to know about the discrimination among them. In last 75 years only 1 cast enjoying all benefits. What about remaining poor. In several committee reports are there available in case of Andhra Pradesh called Usha Mehra and Ram Raju committee revealed the truth to centre that out of 100 jobs only 1 cast getting 85 posts. So where is the justice. Every sub caste also a part of scheduled caste have right to get their share as they also an Indians.

How reservation is depriving india from your so called TALENT?? Show me single example of it. Reservation is given in public jobs and services only which is just 1 or 2 percent of total economic activities. How can reservation deprive public who are working 98% public who work in private sector?😂❤

In the name of unity dont make comedy. There is cast and financial discrimination among the sub castes. Inter sub caste marriages not happening till now. Living separately, Eating Separately. There are central reports with AP and Centre that the truth is only 1 sub caste enjoying all 90% government jobs in last 75 years to till now although remaining sub castes had qualified graduates. The forward sub caste financially sound, studied English and quantitative study with the help of christian missionaries and already developed only against on sub classification to enjoy all as before to further. So dont lecture without knowing the matter. Supreme judges had keen study the usha mehra and other reports and finally gave justice. It is the struggle of almost 52 years.

@@UPSCHemant-w1x Go and search Usha Mehra and Ram Raju Commission reports on scheduled caste which are conducted a survey and gave report to centre. If you can download the same from Home ministry. It is the truth everyone knows and are considered by honourable supreme court. Truth always bitter 😂

Report is incomplete and has no statistics about comprehensive population of all castes. For that reason, the supreme court should first order a comprehensive caste census.👌
I will show u, how seats of SCs are are not fully filled. If seats are not getting candidates. How u say only one caste is enjoying whole reservation scheme? Just look for this topic. You will get hundreds of bitter truth.🤗

Show me single line of that report which tells about sub groping SCs castes because only one caste is enjoying all reservation benefits wheras It recommended dividing SCs castes as per their population, depriving minority castes from getting more seats.
@@satyamusn5666 Can u tell me why National Commission for Schedule Castes rejected the recommendation of Usha Mehra Commission and recommended seperate scheme should be launched instead of dividing SCs castes. The data provided by Usha mehra was not complete and comprehension. Secondally, it does not discuss scenario of entire nation but limited to state of Andhra Pradesh.😂👌🤗

He is not even aware of how sub castes struggling from last 75 years to now. There is huge discrimination among sub castes have no inter sub caste marriages, eating separately, living separately, roaming separately have no equal financial and social context. In India 30 states are their own culture and collectively called as union of India. Likewise sc sub classification gives jobs to each backward among backward and helps to them to get roj ka roti. Here where is un ity context comes. So don't do comedy in the name unity. Every indian under unity only. But in getting fundamental needs where is the justice. In AP and Centre have sub castes reports please go and study only after comment on sc sub classification. Vargikaran is a social justice ❤
