The moot question arises why reservation? Ambedkar before Simon commission has submitted that due untouchablity depressed community lagging behind.After independence Untouchablity has been declared as an offence no more is in practice.The depressed class is getting more and better opportunities. The question of reservation does not arises.

It appears Professor has no idea of constitution .Reservation itself is illegal and unconstitutional. But political parties due to their Vote Bank politics are harping. There is clear mandate that reservation should not adversely affect the administration. Now there is imperical evidences which suggest that due to reservation administration has been become a casualty.

suprem court judgement on subclassification on SC,ST reservations are purely political based judgement and it's absolutely aganist the core concept of constitution. Why because untouchbility is homogenous factor ratherthan economical factor. Whole argument to increase cap is based on OBC population, SC ST have reservation approx equal to their population, constitution can't allow reservation to any category beyond their population as it is direct attack on right to equality

Increase quota beyond 60% will result in dilution of the very core concept of equality as unreserved people won't even get a chance to get govt job, so are we going to ignore rights of unreserved (who are approx 30%) and creamy layer OBC all together ----what will happen to right to equality as Reservation is nothing but an exception to the rule of equality

Untouchability is the uniform homogenous factor tha rightly determines historical discrimination, and thus Reservation to provide an opportunity for equality. Creamy layer and subclassification can be seen as Economic differences and not differences in the degree of untouchability. The creamy layer and Caste division are clearly irrelevant as for the purpose of Caste Reservation.

I am live in kolkata for 26 year i.e. since my birth, did not even know what caste was till applying for college, then came to know about dalit, yadav and all those terms from the internet. Dont defame west bengal for your petty politics. People in north india are plain stüpíd to follow these things. No wonder their mentality is so backward.
