Fun Fact: Gabrielle Union character Syd was mentioned from Bad Boys 2 continued into a sitcom L.A. Finest with Jessica Alba. It’s on Tubi if you wanna check them out. ITS GOOD
After seeing how excited Tara gets over the kill scenes and her cheering the deaths on, I’m just over here like ‘Wow, those weekly horror movies have really changed Tara’ 😂
I was pleasantly surprised when Andrew said this may be his favorite one. This one is def under appreciated because its a bit more serious than the first two. But it really is a great film and has the best story of all 3.
The last one I saw was sonic the hedgehog a family owned theater I've been going to ever since I was a kid for over 20 years! But that theater was a major part of my childhood, and much cheaper than theaters today! It shut down for good after the pandemic shut everything down 😢 They still use it for plays and stag performances after the pandemic though!
I love how Armando says ''Stay down! ... I said stay down!'' and the way he looks up at the ceiling, clearly contemplating what should he do. He was confused about his mom's way of doing thing the whole time, why spare the 1 dangerous dude for last?, why is Mike more important than the rest?, why does he have to suffer, but not the others? why is he the only one to get a message? ... Armando always wanted a dad, was crying when reading an article about his supposed dad - the drug lord, tried to live up to his legacy, and now here is a man, a cop - who by the way just spared his life - telling him HE is his father and offers him to stop fighting ... poor boy.
While I feel the second flick has the best overall action (you don't simply out-Michael-Bay, Michael Bay lol), I think this movie had the best story & character development of all the movies. Unlike the previous two, this one really let both Will Smith & Martin Lawrence flex their dramatic muscles a bit more. The scene during the wedding where Mike basically begs Marcus to join him on the case is really really good. Loved this entry. Had no business being as good as it was, given the 17-year time gap and the fact that both Will and Martin were older. I love that the movie acknowledges that, has fun with it, and works it into the story and their respective character progressions. And yes, when Andrew was critiquing the villain in the previous movie, I was like: "Ohhh, the third one definitely improves on this." Looking forward to you guys checking out the fourth one when it drops on digital.
My sister an brother in law when to Miami for vacation and secretly to get married, but was there when they were filming the race scene outside of the clubs 😳 I was so hype when I seen the little vids she took
My dad and I love these movies. I remember when we saw this in theaters when the captain was shot, I was quietly freaking out and my dad whispering to me “he’s gone” felt like a real loss to me 😢
Mike: That better be a safe or a piano Marcus: Aw! This is my wife's car! Mike: That f'n Carver Remy! Marcus: You don't know that's Carver Remy; that could be anybody 😩😩
In regards to Vic Morrow dying on the set of Twilight Zone. "The helicopter crashed into the river, dismembering Morrow and the two children: Myca Dinh Le, age 7, and Renee Shin-Yi Chen, 6 (spelled Renee Shinn Chen in The Times's early reporting). As investigators examined the crash, they discovered that the children's mere presence on the set had been illegal."
The new Bad Boys is coming to streaming within the next few weeks. 4 Life is my favorite out of all of them because of the story and tone but Ride or Die is soooo good. You guys have to react to it when it comes out
"The Rhythm of the Night" is a song by Italian Eurodance group CORONA. It was released as their debut single in 1993 in Italy, then elsewhere the following year. The song is the title track of the group's debut studio album, "The Rhythm of the Night" (1995), and was written by Francesco Bontempi, Annerley Emma Gordon, Giorgio Spagna, Pete Glenister and Mike Gaffey. It was produced by Bontempi, and the vocals were performed by Italian singer Giovanna Bersola, who is not credited on the single and does not appear in the music video. The woman who appears in the video is the group's frontwoman Olga Souza. The video was A-listed on Music TV-channels, such as Germany's VIVA. The song was a worldwide hit in 1994, peaking at number-one in Italy, and within the top five in most of Europe, while in the US, it fell short of the top ten, reaching number eleven on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Cash Box Top 100. ⬅⚠💿🎵
I think Gabrielle union had a spin off series with Jessica alba were she was her character from bad boys and her and Jessica were partner cops or something my mom watched it
This was the second to last movie I saw before the pandemic happened. The last one being Onward. This really was a surprise hit for me and I saw it 3 times in theaters. Gabrielle Union didn’t come back for this or the next movie but she did play her character in a show that Fox had called L.A.’s finest.
The big white dude is Alexander Ludwig he was also in Vikings he played bjorn Nd also was in grown ups 2,and fun fact he emailed the rock to get big and then the rock sent him a workout plan to bulk up for the movie 😊
Alexander Ludwig is from Vikings which is arguably one of the greatest TV shows ever created. Certainly the early seasons. Might not be the most engaging reaction series as it can be slow but it's pure class
The reason Mike wasn't wearing a vest is because he was off duty. Cops aren't drinking shots at the bar with vests on. He was celebrating with his boy. He wasn't on patrol
No, Tara, you were thinking of Scott Caan, and he's much shorter than Ludwig. Ludwig is most famous for being Bjorn Ironside in "Vikings". He wasn't in "Reacher". That's Alan Ritchson.
FYI : In keeping with the family name of founder Ferdinand Porsche, the company's name is pronounced [ˈpɔʁʃə] in German, which corresponds to /ˈpɔːrʃə/ ⓘ POR-shə in English. homophonous with the feminine name Portia. However, in English it is often pronounced as a single syllable /pɔːrʃ/ ⓘ PORSH-without a final /ə/. In German orthography, word-final ⟨e⟩ is not silent but is instead an unstressed schwa. | Great reaction, guys. ⬅ 🙂👍🏼
A friend of mine is an extra in this movie, a scene out in front of the nightclub and also she was on a dirt bike for the chasing scene. I’ve always thought that was pretty cool cause I’ve always loved these movies.
You will see that Reggie has the biggest glow up in this franchise. The woman that is playing his daughter is the same one that played his daughter in the second film. The first film I'm not so sure❤
I found out that during shooting the garage scene that they shot where Booker gets thrown into the thing and dies they were only able to shoot the explosion once so they had to do the whole scene and the fight scene and the explosion all in one shot
This one for me was the funniest out of the first 3. As funny as the first 2 were, some of the humor came off as a bit forced at times, but it felt more organic in this one. Also, as you both pointed out, this one had more emotional moments. I also like the new characters and their arcs and of course the action is always great. I also liked that they brought back some of Mark Mancina's score. And I had no idea those were Martin Lawrence's daughters outside the club. The things you learn lol.
Yeah that line about the No Innocents" is a very informative look into his mindset. He'll kill people, no Problem; but he won't just open fire randomly with innocent people. Even though he shot Mike in an open street ONLY Mike was in the line of fire. Then he rode off. Also he waited for Captain Howard to LEAVE the basketball court before shooting him. so there IS a sense of honor and morality in him; it's just influenced by a very vindictive mother.
They literally said Syd's name and you both missed it. Right when you were asking they mentioned her and you missed it. HOW??? They mentioned it twice.
You find out what happened between mike and syd (the sister) at the end of 2nd one when they’re chilling in the pool ,mike basically says “it didn’t work and we both agreed”
He wasn't wearing a Wade jersey in Bad Boys 2 because that film was released in July 2003. D Wade was drafted maybe 2 weeks before the movie premiered and wouldn't play his 1st NBA game for another 3 months.
10:48 she’s in Los Angeles with Jessica Alba. 15:58 he didn’t have a cameo in the first one. 29:00 he was also in “Vikings” and he was in “Grown Ups 2” with Adam Sandler playing David Spade’s kid. 50:04 the copter fell on the actors and the main rotor decapitated them. A special effect mortar went off under the tail rotor sending it into a spin and crash.
The only quibble I had was that they changed the timeline in that 25 years before this movie came out, Mike and Marcus were already detectives so there's no way 26 years earlier the Captain pulled Mike out of the academy for an undercover assignment. Also, I could have sworn they established that Mike and Marcus knew each other before they became cops, but I don't want to go looking because I haven't seen the fourth one yet.
I never actually THOUGHT about that line "Just because I EFFED your mother" But come to think about it Bad Boys 2 was 20 years before this (or close to it). They showed the one scene with Mike and his Latina Therapist. What if that kid, who's is disrespecting Mike, is HER son??
Michael Bay at the wedding the director's really wanted him to cameo in the movie as there big fans so he did they mentioned that they didn't even need to give him direction he just told the steady cam guy what to do in one take lol
The thing i hated about Marcus was that he called Mike selfish. But he couldn't realize that Mike was there for him in every situation. He saved his life in the first, was down to save his sisters life in the 2nd. No questions asked. He always put his life on the line for Marcus and his family, bc they were his family as well. But when it came time for Marcus to do the same, he had to be convinced. It took the captain's death to make him all in. That was messed up. But i get it Marcus was thinking of his family and growing old with them.
Great movie and great soundtrack I honestly can't wait for the 4th one to come out. Love the story in this one with his son he knew nothing about and the fact that Reggie is still around 😂 her husband's name is Cole Tucker he plays for the Pittsburgh pirates
Lol i just realized one of the girls at the club when they were trying to get in is “Martin Lawrence” real life daughter shes fresh on my memory cause she makes a cameo in the forth film aswell…which they pointed her out in the fourth film but this one i just noticed her by just seeing her in the bad boys ride or die 😂….aswell as the son setup in this movie breaks lore cause Marcus and Mike were partners for 36 years in real continuity cause in the first film…mike says to marcus how they were partners for 6 years….but they keep quoting 25 cause the creators just keept thinking back to the first film without pulling things from the first film

What's the BEST action squence in the Bad Boys franchise??
For me it will be the first movie with the car chase sequence. That had everything tension, drama and just going all with the fast paced driving.
For me, it's either the big street shootout/highway chase or the Haitian house shootout. Both in Bad Boys 2.
Bad Boys 2 highway chase was crazy action from start to finish.
The best action sequence is the Deadpool trailer that just dropped.
