I am a left footer too, can either find a park where it goes around in opposite direction, Practice switching to other foot or try a system 2.0 straight cable. I'm a beginner and watch to try this soon. The other option which Might be too hard is to look up toeside raley. Probably too hard.Still worth trying. I can't wait to attempt it, I'm just trying to get better at heelside edge etc.as i'm fairly new. Good luck
Its actually just as hard regular, but the cons of boarding regular are that when you want to learn it on the ideal spot (between 2 curves) you wont have time to get back to the red bouyes for the next curve.
@yowp i guess this is an late response but still.....first tricks should be ollie and surface 180....and if your at a cable park there should be a couple of obstacle like a kicker or Funbox, try these first before attempting the raley
Nice vid!!! Yesterday I landed the backroll first time after 4weeks wakeboarding. Now I want to start with the raley. Now my Question: Do I have to carve back on my heelside much longer than for the backroll to create enough tention? In your vid it looks like you don´t wait very long till you edge. Thx
@Axxis171 just do it like a giant C, you still just want to get that edge on your board except if your natural and its a right foot forward cable do a C not an S.... in sydney we have 2 lakes in either direction so its easy for both stances but when i ride the right foot forward lake(im goofy so its my off leg) i almost do a u turn, back on myself... if that makes sense.... sorry its hard to explain in writing hahaha
It looks like 100% of these guys are riding goofy (right foot forward). I have never ridden a cable (today will be the first time!) but that seems weird. Maybe they can't cut in the other direction due to the park structure or something. Good video, thanks for posting it.
You will still take, maybe a few falls after your first succesfull landing, but that arent that much, once you have smelled on the airbourne aspect of wakeboarding, those crashes are not that bad, since making a raley just feels... soo damn good...
@thomasXkiteXforXlife try and do it as soon as you get off the dock, when you take off just cut hard untill you get under the cable, then release your edge.
Hello! is it possible to do the raley in the inside of the cable? I learned wakeboarding on a right-running cable, now I live on a left-running cable and I feel more save with edging in the inside... btw: is a raley in between two masts possible?
It's not difficult, but I don't really dare to release the edge... : S I think that's because it's maybe a bit more difficult for leftfooters like me... ; )
actually it gets really easy once you learn it, u think its annoying but actually its the easiest part, maybe ur not flicking but jumping i dont know but keep trying
Great stuff but everyone in this video is riding "goofy" (left foot forward). How about if you're natural (right foot forward) ? The whole S thing at the start doesn't work.
i landed my cable rayley today :') best feeling of my life
Any Tipps?
@@spot.4912 Get it yet?
Also very important is to look up while in the air!
You know when to release it, youll feel alot of pressure, so much that you almost wanna let go of youre edge, then flick.
This is by far the best raley tutorial i've seen here on youtube! Tnx so much, I will start my raley practices in april :-)

Super uitgelegd, met name het wegdraaien bij de afzet is zo overduidelijk.

great video! well done! what camera did you use? how many frames per second does it do?
nailed it, it hurt so much to learn it..(
the cables are set up more for goofy than regular, but if your ganna do the raley regular, do it right when you get off the dock
Wow. I'd like to do that! Now that I've got Brownstone Park near me in CT, maybe I can learn it!

Thanks to this amazing tutorial i managed to do it this week!
Yes, since with the park, you already have a huge upward pull because the line is at a high angle.
You will still take, maybe a few falls after your first succesfull landing, but that arent that much, once you have smelled on the airbourne aspect of wakeboarding, those crashes are not that bad, since making a raley just feels... soo damn good...
Nice Video! Well explained, simple and clear!
I Wanna learn this trick so badly, and its a great tutorial, hopefully ill be able to do it this year!
@thomasXkiteXforXlife try and do it as soon as you get off the dock, when you take off just cut hard untill you get under the cable, then release your edge.
This looks like the cable park from that fighting flick.
Pretty different, the cable is like 40degrees up, while with a kite you go almost 10degrees up, so its a little harder.
Hey , super Video !!! Thank you , I will try it next week !
Creed - Higher
The songs name is, young Jedi!
dude, im gonna try this tomorrow
seems simple enough, just gotta try it to find out
what cable park is this?
Thanks, this helped me a lot.
heyy,i dont know when is the right time to flick away. When is the right timing?
i feel like these are easier in a park than behind the boat. is that correct?
if im regular and i go out as wide as possible at the corner buoy , will this set me up better for the raley?
can you make one for toeside?
do you have to dib both heels or just one if one so wich heel??

Hello!

Creed -Higher
Sorry, I mixed up the left/right foot thing in that post. Should be the other way around. Left foot backward/right foot backward.
its soo annoying and scary to learn.. ive done it many times and i still fall and still feel scared to do it
By far the best comment
It's not difficult, but I don't really dare to release the edge... : S
I think that's because it's maybe a bit more difficult for leftfooters like me... ; )

Great stuff but everyone in this video is riding "goofy" (left foot forward). How about if you're natural (right foot forward) ? The whole S thing at the start doesn't work.
this is cable boarding not wakeboarding
