As an owner of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, I'm impressed, but most of all since I like to take wildlife pictures, the zoom is amazing. Even if their's something I have a hard time seeing because its so tiny or far away, the S22 Ultra gives it clarity. Love it!
The iPhone is only cheaper in the US....otherwise there's a price hike of 30% for the rest of the world although the US gets great deals from Samsung as well. That's how Apple keeps the iPhone cheaper, by making someone else pay for it. Apart from that detail your comparison is the best I have seen.....you always remain fair and unbiased. Great video.
Well the the dollar is very strong right now against other currency euro for example drop well above 20% in the past year. Also prices in the US does not include tax where as I I purchase it in Asia the price includes the tariffs/vat already into the price.

In my opinion as an user of S22 Ultra, except the battery consumption slightly disappointed, but overall S22U performance still surprised me. I still satisfied with my S22U ❤️
The battery surprised me as well. My. My note 20 ultra does better, and my note 10 plus slightly better than the S22 ultra In the battery department. Almost everything else, the Galaxy S22 ultra is a beast.

@@TechnoTweet I'm constantly on my phone for work and personal use. I charge it up to 85%. By early evening, it's generally down to 30 percent. Not the best battery but still works for me.

I returned mine cos of the battery drainage and went back to Note10+ for now. Only thing i miss is the 120hz refresh rate.

Samsung is the best
S22Ultra is now cheaper in USA. I don't know about other markets, but I have read they are also cheaper, especially with Apple charging insane money in countries like Australia and India.
Also, in the USA we no longer have physical SIM in the new iPhones.
I am a geek and I think both systems work great; but as a geek, I prefer the S22 Ultra since it doesn't limit what I can do with it. I now have the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and it only loses in the camera department imo, it is even faster than the S22 Ultra, so Apple can continue to make mobile chipsets that can deform the space-time continuity that if they cannot allow to use their full potential, they are nothing I care about.
I honestly love the 10x zoom on the S22 Ultra you won't believe what it does to sunsets and its perfect for taking pictures of your kids playing or animals that would otherwise be impossible

Great video! I'm keeping my Note20 Ultra until it explodes (and who knows with the battery). The lack of SD card is a really bummer for the S22 and beyond, and something will keep me from upgrading. I never liked the ios system. All the bells are silly to me, although I am responding to this video on my phone, I primarily use the phone as a phone, texts and emails, and considering I was moving from Blackberry, I still don't see the need for half of these features. But I do need your content! Thanks again!
The S22 Ultra has everything a fun, customizable, and ultra functional smartphone should have. Also that pull out panel is very useful and appreciated. Need I say more.. OK, then there's the S pen. The Ultra does it all and it's not boring! Yay 🥰

I was a long time Samsung user for many many years. I converted to Iphone with the 12 pro max 2 years ago. My family has all iphone's and my oldest child went to college and I needed a iphone to track her and make sure she was fine. I upgraded to the 14 pro max and I really miss all the features Samsung has to offer. Great comparison video as usual. keep up the great work.
At this point I think it's about personal preference and whether you use the features or not. I have been using Samsung for 10 years now and swapped 6-7 flagships and while they all were pretty great phones almost all of them had some issues. Battery life on the S22U is pretty mediocre even after following debloating, battery and all kinds of guides. That said I could never switch to iOS simply cuz of the limitations they have and even for things that don't really make sense.

Fantastic video. I'm so glad that you made the point that Samsung is dropping some of the features that made consumers like myself choose the Samsung phones over the Apple phones. If they continue to disappoint the consumers the question becomes why stay with the android operating system. Samsung has given no reason for removing SD card support. Yet their phone is able to shoot 8K video. Why not give me the option to remove a SD card and replace it with another to keep shooting 8K video?

Samsung is following Apple's strategy. Have you seen how much they charge for storage per unit? Allowing an SD card doesn't give them the opportunity to put you in a corner over storage. I also believe that with all of the other areas where they want to stay competitive, they opt to discard an SD slot to allow more space for cameras and other hardware. Thats also the primary reason they all have removed the headphone jack... but again even the headphone jack, no matter how outdated, gives both brands the room to charge you $250 for ear-buds. Capitalism
Give it up....the SD card is NEVER coming back and that's a good thing. Apple have NEVER used SD cards. Two things that are NOT coming back to phones (in the USA) and that is the headphone jack...just give it up and the SD card. So don't slam they because of it. Grow with the change. SD cards and headphone jacks on smartphones is NOT the future.
A literally major feature of the S22 Ultra is the new 'Extra Brightness' setting.
You assumed that the S22 Ultra is as limited in this regard as the S21 Ultra - where only in very bright ambient light will it deploy its true full brightness potential.

Here in Portugal, the Iphone 14 pro max is about 200 dollars more when compare to the Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra. The Samsung is on sale a lot of times too. I have both but i prefer the Samsung because is more versatile. Thank you and keep up the amazing work that you do.

The only thing keeping me from upgrading to the s22 ultra from the note 20 ultra believe it or not are the speakers.... as a media consumer I can't believe the speakers on the 2 year old note are better than the s22, also hdr content runs better on the note lol

The battery seems to drain faster than iphone.
Don’t care for customization.
Been with android for years and I’m just not impressed anymore. They talk so much shite on Apple and later follow suit whilst eating their words followed by deleting comments. (Headphone jack, no accessories) What a joke! I love my 14 PM. Amazing pictures, sound quality is crisp and the battery easily lasts all day and then some. It’s 2am and battery is only at 60%. That’s heavy use with music, blu tooth, social media, watching videos and playing a game. My iPhone has gotten warm, but never hot unlike my N10+. Best decision I made. Traded in for $800 as a down payment. I’ll say this, the amount of accessories for the iPhone is incredible!

That's well said. Android/Samsung love to poke fun at Apple but then they end up copying them. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all. Samsung keeps removing the features that set them apart from Apple, what's the point in remaining with them? They're trying to become Apple but nobody can do it as well as the original.

I can't deal with IOS and its limitations. Can't go wrong with either, but I"ll keep the S22U. It's such a nice phone and the pic's and videos are amazing, plus, I can customize it the way I want.

Yes I agree. Also iPhone have a cpu overheat protection where it dims your screen to the lowest when overheating so that's a no no for me.

Although iphones are better in videos, i would still choose a phone that doesn't restrict me with features and functionality. The s22 ultra is like a balance of everything that the iphone has.
I have the S21 Ultra 512gb unlocked on Verizon and an iPhone 14 pro max and I love my s21 ultra but I use the iPhone for pictures and video it's just more smooth but in the end I like the S21 Ultra freedom to do stuff but there both great phones I passed on the s22 ultra not big enough difference. But I'll probably get the s23 ultra.

To me the dynamic island is like putting cologne on and not taking a shower because you're running late. We were supposed to be moving in the direction of no notches. Don't make it somewhat useful make it smaller. I respect apple and what it's done in the past but I kind of don't get the dynamic island. From what I've seen in dynamic island Samsung has the same like features without a big ugly cutout.

Apple just isn’t willing to put technology in there products that are not perfected and sorry to say but under display cameras are not there yet they look awful and not to mention the picture and video quality is horrible so I would rather wait to get an all display phone until it’s actually a viable option and stick with a notch that you interact with through software
@@machaon5 I would rather not have a large cut out in my screen, no matter what it does, it's intrusive when watching content. I like that Samsung keeps it in the notification shade, giving me an option.
@@machaon5 The screens are already big enough to not need a full display yet, people need to remember the iPhone is still a phone and not a television set but it can act as both and a camera and how to get in Face ID.

Just FYI… you can set Live Wallpaper both on the lock and home screens in the Samsung S22 and S21 and even older Samsung models. Think the same for other Android devices as well.
Personally, not a fan of iPhone, never was and, most likely never will be... But, it is a power house, no doubt.
If you do a lot of video editing on your phone and shooting videos is something you care the most about the camera setup, than iPhone is a no brainer.
Everything else, S22 ultra is an easy choice to make.
Best thing about this comparison is that, really, you can't go wrong with either of them.

In the coming years I can imagine where apples design language is headed. The MacBook pros will also have an pill shape cutout with Face ID, and newer iPhones will have an even smaller pill cutout. I wonder what apple plans to do for the iPads tho?? Any thoughts
Nothing, they work better with a border, they don't need edge to edge displays. Maybe they'll add the dynamic island but wouldn't count on it.

For me, the screen real-estate is the key, it's what i see the whole time and i usually keep my phone minimal so it's like an iphone. 🤷🏽♂️
if you're in the US, not having an iPhone is very inconvenient.
These phones literally come down to what pics/vids you like better. I prefer the slightly saturated colors that Samsung has. They were too true to color the last couple of years and I'd have to boost the colors in the editor.
Photos need editing anyway even on iPhone it don't matter what phone you use because you need to use photo enhance editor to get the pictures better Anyway

What all reviews on youtube fail to say to us users, is that the comparison is almost impossible. Simple example is that once you have a mac, an apple watch, an iPad etc you are part of the Apple Eco System, which is surprisingly simple and inter connected. So yes, very hard for an apple user to leave that eco system to go to an android phone. The reverse is difficult too : for an android user to come to Apple, you have to get to that eco system, which can be pricey. For my part, i was a long time samsung user (since Galaxy S2 to Note 4 to S9+ to S10+, then Huawei P30 Pro), then I changed to a 12 Pro MAX 2 years ago, and now have the 14 Pro Max (not so much difference and that dynamic island stuff is just marketing gimmicks to me).
Anyway, take the phone that makes you happy and easy to use according to your needs, for me the iPhone does the job.

Iphone in Europe is much more expensive than Samsung, it costs almost the same as Z Fold 4:

Im a samsung fan always have been had s and note series as long as they were out and really have no complaints with my s22 ultra and see myself as n power user. So with all the s22 features really is a win for me. That being said it comes down to personal choice i cant say one phone is better that the other but the s22 fullfill my needs and the iphone might please someone else. This racing market is what makes people bankrupt because they get told its the best and that they must have it.......

Yes you can remove all stock apps the same way you remove any 3rd party apps. It’s nothing new.

I’d say the iPhone is better unless you really like all those extra features which I’ve tried and are useful like multitasking which I hope iPhone adds soon 🤞. The iPhone camera is all around better with consistent lighting and smoother camera switching. Except once you get to 10x zooming of course Samsung is better lol. The thing that I found crazy was the 48 megapixel shots are more detailed than the 108 megapixel ones!! Didn’t expect that but yeah. Also Samsung DEX, the S-Pen, and power share are pretty niche for me. I never used them when I had a Samsung phone except a couple times where I was like oh cool but I wouldn’t give them each their own point for that. I’d say all of them together is like 1 point lol. Of course that’s my opinion and I respect your opinion as well because Samsung makes some damn good features!

I have both phones and have had them for years...and I can say that in my opinion...I enjoy my S22Ultra way more than my 14 pro Max. iPhones are excellent phones...but you get bored of them quickly!!!

That’s the thing. Most of these features I never used. And even customizations and all that I did that for a week or two then that was it. Never went back to any of that once things are set. At that moment I realized why iPhones are just better overall. On iphone I don’t have the need to change anything. Their stock apps and functions work almost flawlessly

iPhone has superior battery and app performance, the new iPhone AOD is better than Samsung's AOD. S22 Ultra has out lots of features and more options, I personally think Android OS is superior to iOS but that's my opinion. I hear S23 Ultra might have the same exact design as S22 Ultra, lets hope that is not true, and tell Samsung to stop following Apple. We want charges in the box and and better accessories for our Samsung mobile products.

Only thing I hate about iPhone is that…u can’t see the screen outside on a bright sunny day. U can have it the brightness level on high and it’ll automatically turn itself down to 50% after a few minutes.

Technically the 100x is useless since it's a digital zoom. So basically just a cut out of the 10x optical zoom. Everything becomes grainy because of that.

Yes. The S22 Ultra cost more. But you get more on your trade with Samsung than you would with Apple. I traded my S21 Ultra for the S22 when it was released and got 900.00 on trade in plus a whole lot of other accessories from Samsung. So I paid les than 300.00 for my S22 Ultra. You won't get that from Apple.
Iphone dont loose 300$ dollars a year, iphone 13 pro max is still over 1000$ so

There are some good iphone features which were left out and more about down features mentioned. More or all features mentioned on the s22ultra but iphone wasn't really appreciated. We can all tell the iphone camera was better according to the photos you showed but that was left out and you can't keep away the fact that it is cheaper, why didn't you mention that?? It is beating Samsung in many aspects and yet is cheaper so put that in there. Iphone has a better user experience for me, it's like a Rolls-Royce and a Tesla, the Samsung is a Tesla and the Rolls-Royce is the iphone, Tesla is fun but Rolls-Royce has more professionalism to it and feels more like something kids can't understand it's value or be able to use.
Literally every kid and grandma has an iPhone. Why? Because it's simple

Rolls-Royce doesn't have many modern features most cars have and it keeps it's design through out the years, a Royce is the perfect description to the iphone. The Royce does minimum upgrades throughout every lunch just like the iphone. Your favourite rapper, actor , president and all important people you know owns a Rolls-Royce and an iphone but non of them owns a Toyota.
