Although these tests may seem trivial to most, as someone that works outside in very cold temperatures in Vancouver, it's reassuring to know these phones are super durable
A little bit envious that rain, snow and ice is made of sparkling water with strawberry taste in Vancouver. For us Swedes would be better to try it with regular water.

I have ceramic coated my phones (I install it on cars). Great for screen protectors and cameras. Seems to really help with fingerprints.

I have both the 13 pro and the S22 ultra. Freakishly robust phones and damn awesome they are. Love using them for day-to-day tasks. I did accidentally charge the iPhone 13 pro immediately after it got wet in the rains and it didn't give me any notifications either, nor did it spoil charging with probably a wet port.

Idk if apple does this but the second moisture is detected in port ,as you should know, galaxy turns off port charging. I'm surprised apple wouldn't do the same. You probably just didn't have any water in the actual port.

To explain the water beads, phones have something on their glass called Oleophobic Coating. it improves smoothness and reduces fingerprints, but it causes water to bead like that when it hits the screen or back glass.

Your video test after the freezing: Both the iPhone and S22 looked perfect. The audio on iPhone sounded badly muffled with like white noise in the background, The S22 sounded clearer with no noise but it was still muffled. How was the results after they dried out my dude?
Xiaomi mi 11 ULTRA has ceramic back case. Not ceramic coating but full ceramic. Very beautiful. Slippery as a eel and heavy as steel but it is one of the most beautiful phones in recent times.

Tests like this are done so you can be rest assured your phone will not be damaged if you ACCIDENTALLY do something like it happens to fall in water or is exposed to harsher than normal temps. Obviously, you’re not going to purposely drop it in water… Surely you can’t be this stupid to not know why people do these tests. No one cares if you’re not dropping them in water, this is for when if accidents occur you know your phone will be safe

You should do a benchmark test before and after the freezing test. That would be different.
it wont affect performance. if the water actually contacted to the cpu, then there will be no benchmark, because the phone would be dead.

Wow, the Samsung (being an older device) - is such a premium looking device. Much better looking than the iPhone. It's almost professional v. amateur looking.
so thats a plus because iphones normally wont urn on and will break and not respond and the audio would sound crappy as all hell and that iphone seemed to pass the test with a very well 100% okay im proud they upgraded to a more much better working iphone
