Actually its basically The "True" Twisted Metal 3. If it were like black we wouldve had Crazy 8/Brimstone/JunkyardDog.
I wish they did a game like that where they had classic characters and black characters in one game

    • @andrewverrett568

@@kzakulenga5138I think black would have been perfect if the environments weren't so dark( had to turn my brightness up on my tv on some levels) and if it played just a little slower and if minion was in a 6 wheel tank.
Then it literally would have been a perfect game.
I don't mind the difficultly because the controls are so great.
I think its easier than TM2 because the controls. Twisted metal 2 you'll die just because the controls sometimes.
And then head on should have had minion too and a little more difficult. I think head on probably plays the beat but is too easy. In my opinion its a very hard toss up as to which one is better. But my top two in the series is black and head on.
TM 2 being third. And they should have made dark tooth even bigger as a boss and way harder to beat.
Cousin eddie is such a let down when it could have been minion or a new boss but better than a fucking rv.

    Head-On is fun.
    The levels are awesome.
    The music is good.
The lack of new characters does not matter to me.
Upgraded Specials are an excellent idea.
But I like the PSP version more.
I was once watching gameplay of this game and heard Disaster Proof by LeVeL.
Now Disaster Proof is one of my favourite songs ever.

Would have been perfect if minion was in it as a tank, instead of stupid ass cousin eddie, and if it was just a little more difficult. Its the easiest game in the series as far as difficulty. But other than that its a perfect game. Wish they would have brought back Antarctica too. Was the coolest level ever.

Transylvania was a DLC level in the PSP version, then in the PS2 version Eat Sleep Play decided to put the Transylvania level in the campaign, so the PS2 players don't need to purchase it separately from the store, because well, the PS2 console does not have a store in it so...

I think Head On should’ve taken the 2nd Offense approach and been a collectathon. I think that’s what would’ve fleshed it out completely. My biggest gripe is that Quests simultaneously take too long but feel short from no real substance to come out of it. Still my favorite in the TM collection though. If Black had a casual setting I think it would be perfect, but not being able to play Black without the invincibility cheat knocks it down for me. I can see how Black was made for the hardcore fans whereas Head On wouldn’t be so alluring to them.

The PSP version is the definitive version in my opinion. You'll notice that you're unable to make certain jumps in the game, even with boost (12:00). Apparently the PS2 version is scaled just a little bit bigger making some jumps impossible without the double tap bounce. Also, the PS2 is missing audio for the Cousin Eddie boss battle.

  • @Rdotmop
    @Rdotmop Рік тому +5

Besides the extra content, the PS2 version is mostly the same as the original PSP version (there are some minor gameplay changes like cars across the board being slightly slower I think, and Remote Bombs and Napalm have the same damage always instead of getting weaker the further away the enemy is from the center)
But there are two different things that are kinda bizarre to me. Cousin Eddy is missing his dialogue in his boss fight when he bangs on the side of the RV and his goons come out, and for some reason the final boss uses incredibly unfitting music (which I think is from the minigames). Sure, the old final boss tracks were used for the new Transylvania level, but I doubt anyone would mind if it played both in that level and the final boss, and honestly I'd prefer it.

War of the monsters was also made by incognito, and its literally twisted metal except giant monsters and unending destroyable environments. Its the greatest monster fighting game ever made.
Edit: its okay in story mode, pretty good but not super long. Can play through story mode about an hour.
However multi player is where its at, hours and hours of endless fun.
Especially because when you get close enough to the other player it becomes a single screen which is actually really great for the combat.
Each monster has multiple skins to kinda keep it fresh.
    They have intros and endings.
Its just literally twisted metal but with monsters. Great game.

Marcus nightmares are the result of him winning Twisted metal black. His Ending in TM2 connects to Twisted metal black; couldnt stop killing other insects = couldnt stop killing people even after he was cursed.
Marcus went mad as a result of that wish and took the identity of Minion and went on another killing spree not knowing reality from his Needles. (Same brain different perception)
I could go down a rabbit hole on this shi because it can get deep.

The Transylvania music(both of them) used for the Final bosses in the PSP version really fits instead ot just "Bonus Levels" OST.
As it fits, makes it unique and makes it little more scarier facing Dark Tooth & Tower Tooth (especially when you were younger) it did gave me a spook lol
reply if you agree or such
also facing Dark Tooth in the PSP version is bit hard.. especially when he spams the machine gun shooting more napalm cones..
But maybe it's just me. But facing Tower Tooth in PSP version is alot more harder unless you get up high. Well stage 1 is easy just dont get close..
Stage 2 is more worse than PS2 version as it sends a lightning attack with several Napalm Cones.. so like good luck facing him in PSP version.
