NEW FORGOTTEN GAME VIDEO: ua-cam.com/video/ulIM56YYy5c/v-deo.html
Thanks to the 50k people that tuned into my passion project! New similar stuff coming soon, though perhaps not on a full franchise. And for my 500 subs, stay tuned! If RPCS3 ever gets multiplayer working, I'll make a video and we can organise a full lobby.
Around 9:14 I mention Apocalypse was revealed at E3 2005. This is wrong, it was 2009. Yes, I am a fool.
UPDATE: Pacific Rift Multiplayer is being worked on! See www.reddit.com/r/motorstorm/comments/wem026/pacific_rift_servers_important_notice/ for more info!
Edit: Asking me to cover Motorstorm RC is like asking me to review Angry Birds Star Wars in a review of the Star Wars movies. Its not bad, but it's Motorstorm in name only.
You forgot motorstorm rc
When I got to play it was day one on ps3 or Christmas, it was so fun and it was empty races I wanted more
so wait, would the ps2 emulator work for toca 3? if so then i may be able to play the greatest racing sim with my wheel, then once im done fuming about bad lap times i can play the greatest arcade racing games out there....then fume about bad lap times even more, SWEET!!
You forgot motorstorm rc
Is there seriously no way to get the extra customizations and vehicle models for motorstorm apocalypse?
also i love how in every motorstorm game that one biker always finds a way to end up dead
Rip random biker dudes
@MrDjBigZ He's talking about the guy from the trailers.
Pretty realistic to driving a bike in the game.
This game seriously needs a remaster or new game
Why the fuck can't we all just do it together
New game - SURE!! Remaster - fuck you, another one...
@@m4rcin847 To be fair a remaster would be pretty awesome too. Especially if they would bring it to PC
@@NuriBass69 No, and stop spreading that cancer of low effort remasters for 60$+
At this point, I think it's better that Motorstorm would have a hard reboot
As the story end by the apocalypse
Motorstorm was almost a perfect game, I played online with a buddy and hated when they shut down the servers. Best racing game ever.
The first Motorstorm? You can play online again!
@@willywayne11 how?
@@Aaron-ze1io psone have got servers. Just need to change your dns settings. Have a Google mate 👍🏼We're on most nights
@@willywayne11 ok man thanks for the info 👍
Best racing game ever. Brutal. Realistic. Fast. Violent.
Motorstorm Pacific Rift was the game that made me get a PS3. I had tremendous fun and absolutely loved the music. The series was definitely under rated.
Pacific rift has to be my favourite arcade racing game
SO TRUE
I absolutely loved motorstorm back when I first got my Fat PS3. Put so many hours into it
I love motorstorm, apocalypse specially, and I miss these games so much, really hope they get remastered with online servers for ps5 some day
i miss them as much as Wipeout
not likely
The dev team no exist anymore and sony don't know how big the MS community is to remaster or make a new MS game.
I believe motorstorm apocalypse just got added to PlayStation plus recently.
@@enz025 yes, but the ps3 streaming isnt working in every country, like mine ;(
Arctic Edge avalanches are in no way "useless", even bots can make a great use of them. Aside, you are playing PS2 version in 16:9 without widescreen enabled.
Arctic edge is my favorite racing game bro watch what you talking about
Best game for me
I don’t care what anyone says, Sony will never be the same without Evolution Studios, not only did I play the hell out of every single motorstorm games as a kid (even the boring RC spinoff) but I also got introduced into sim racing by their last and criminally underrated title DriveClub. It’s too unfortunate the studio doesn’t exist anymore so any future releases of either MS or DC would be very unlikely to happen, I can still say however that I’m very glad to have had these games in my childhood and that I still own a PS3 to be able to play them all again one day when I want to take a nostalgic trip, it’s a shame that some of the unlockables require online play though… either way this series will always be remembered as the best imo despite shifting my interest into more realistic sim racing.
Online is back dude. Get yourself on 👍🏼
Motorstorm was the greatest racing game ever in my books. The game took chaos on another level.
MotorStorm was such a fantastic series. I poured many hours into all titles
I wish it could come back ;-;
One of the best racing games ever made!!!
Motorstorm and Burnout Paradise are the best racing games on the ps3
I played the demo in a Sams Club while my family spent HOURS shopping. I had a couch or a camping chair setup in front on the massive TV and not one interruption for hours. It was phenomenal
Motor Storm Pacific Rift was one of my favorite games as a kid. The tracks were just stunning and the vehicle variety was amazingly unique
This was my favorite series of games on the ps3, and it really sucks there's no remaster or revamp of the series for ps5 in the works. I can get the discs for my ps3 and have a blast but I'd really love to see them at 4k 60 someday, without sobering like 3k on hardware
Honestly…OG motorstorm still holds up pretty well. I play it every now and then.
Good video, such a shame that this serie fell to despair ... And about pacific rift, it is indeed my favourite intro in video game history :D
These games were my childhood and a way for my dad, brothe rand I to bond over videogames of a topic we love IRL.. motorstorm will always be cherished in my heart
Motorsport apocalypse was such an amazing game. Almost had the platinum medal for it.
That tyler1 edit is exactly how I feel especially on the vertigo elimination event on the edge
The elimination event on Paradise Beach that's ATV's only actually made me rage for the first time while playing a Motorstorm game. It took a few tries and I finally won when figured out a specific route to go the whole time, to be careful on turns, and concentrate as much as possible.
Thank you so much for putting effort into making this video. You gave me so much nostalgia and you brought back so many memories! There was such a small amount of videos about motorstorm that I was even thinking of making one myself but I would never do any better then you. I loved this video so much that I could watch it again and again. The Motorstorm games were my favourite games on the ps3 and I am really sad to see the games slowly dying off but this video has taught people and even me about the greatness of the games, this video even taught me about things that I had no idea about.
Basically I loved this video because now I know someone out there other then me really enjoyed Motorstorm.
Keep Motorstorm alive!
I loved this series so much to the point where i bought a used PS3 for around 50 bucks just to replay these games a few years ago.
I've always had faint memories of this game, so it's cool to see that it wasn't just a dream I had
I miss motorstorm so much, Pacific Rift is the best of the lot. Spent so much time on the playstation forums for it. I still can't believe an Artic Edge video I uploaded as a kid got 72k+ views. Thanks for the memories!
I miss motorstorm so badly, I've yet to find another game series that scratches that itch of racing without any self preservation, going crazy. It's so fun, and I hope their project pulls through.
I recommend giving Split/Second and FlatOut 2 a try
@@Mannimarco_King_of_Worms played them too many times to count, but i appreciate the recommendations.
Pure is amazing a bit trick focused but has a similar feeling
Remember playing Artic Edge when i was a little kid, i didn't knew how to progress in the game (as a Brazilian kid it was very hard to learn back then, not as common as nowadays) but it was guaranteed fun for me, because of this game, i started to like hard rock and racing. Awesome video lad, Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Hey amAzing video! I'm so very glAd that someone made a video about this secret "only a few people know this about" game, it's surely a unique and special game because it's not like just any other racing games like just fancy cringey cars but rusted powerful ones that are easily undersitimAted, I'm happy that maybe in the futre more people are gonna play this game becauss of this video
And ths soundrAck is very unique and special too!
I always loved the first, I remember trying it for the first time and finding it nearly impossible to control, worked my way up to "god" rank online and held that title for soooo long, won so many races from memorizing every bit of every track in the best vehicles to win, was a wild time.
thankyou for this, i loved playing motorstorm apocolpyse, seeing clips of it finally sparks memories of having a blast
Pacific Rift fan here. Such an amazing game. Because of this video I might buy the game again.
wow. really a great retrospective on the motorstorm series, it was complete, precise and funny. good work man
It’s a series that deserves better and gave me a great love and appreciation for presentation. Playing the first two at my uncles place who had a big tv and sound system really made the game feel huge.
Dude you made an amazing video, it's a total tragedy what happend to this saga it had a lot of potential and it totally deserves to be with the recent generation also i didn't knew about the fan project i'm gonna be following it
This is a great top tier quality video. I was shocked when I saw that you have under 1k subs. I know these kinds of videos take lots of time and energy. I hope to see more from you in the future.
huggggeee props to you for making this video. i myself have played all the motor storms except arctic edge. the best memories came from pacific rift. good to see small content creators making videos on racing games 👊🏽
i loved motorstorm as a kid, a family friend had a ps3 and it was his only racing game so it was all i played. i doubt i'll bother going through all the effort to emulate it but i really appreciate the detail you went into to help people get the best experience when they do - it's so helpful having all the info you need in one place
I absolutely adore apocalypse. loved the track falling to bits as the laps went on. fooking brilliant
i love you for making this video. i think about MSA every week. so much nostalgia
Awesome video. I will always remember being blown away by the first one when my roommate got a launch PS3. He was going to put it in our living room and said I could play it. As I have always been a huge fan of arcade racing, I knew about Motorstorm as soon as it was publicized. We had bought three games for the PS3 the first few months and they were all legendary in our eyes: Uncharted, Assassins Creed, and Motorstorm.
I loved how we could pick the route (kind of) in Motorstorm. Since I loved the first one, I obviously loved Pacific Rift even more. It helped that we had a top of the line TV.
Great video! I've always known Motorstorm games, but never got to try them, except for that one RC game on the Playstation Store. Also, nice Ace Combat mention in the end, you better make that video soon now that the next game in the series is confirmed to be in development! ;)
I loved the video thank you for the funny edits. I miss motorstorm as a series and hope that one day there will be another.
Great video ! Motorstorm was one of my favourite games early on the PS3 and Pacific Rift was a great follow up. Apocalypse was cool but not my favourite of the series. I wish they were playable on the PS5 !
motorstorm was my childhood, absolutely loved that game, so many good memories, i hope for a reamaster
Very nice video dude, and like you, i love this series, it´s a shame that fall into the oblivion, becausa there´s no other racing game as this out there, you have my like.
Thank you for bringing the spotlight to these amazing racing games. The motorstorm series really needs a remaster, it’s such a fantastic game that no other can replicate it’s ambience. I love apocalypse the most (probably because i also really like street racing) and the setting is just phenomenal. I wish Sony remasters, at least, Monument Valley, Pacific Rift and Apocalypse.
I was hoping after DRIVECLUB (which I still love) Evolution would be given another chance at another Motorstorm game. Pacific Rift was the first Platinum trophy I got and is still one of my top favorite racing games. Nice work putting this video together and thanks for the nostalgic trip!
They kind of did, with Onrush. Not quite Motorstorm, but still
Fantastic video. I cannot believe you only have 400 subs! Keep it up mate.
Thanks a lot for making this video 🙏🙏
5:45 nearly killed me.
Great vid! Please make a video on resistance like motorstorm that series does not get enough love!
Great video, keep it going;)
Thank you for this video! Pacific Rift was my favourite, I still have the disc
Great video, speaking of great arcade racers, would love to hear your take on Flatout!
I remember playing motor storm : artic edge on ps2,man what a game💕
Same man
How come you only have less than 500 subs? this video was pretty epic, you definately deserve more for your hard work, you're a legend, just like the kings and queens at Evolution Studios and BigBig Studios, I've grown playing Motorstorm Arctic Edge on my PS2 and I also bought Motorstorm Apocalypse for my PS3 last year unaware the servers got shut, such a shame because those games are amazing, damn, Mother Nature can be way too harsh sometimes, it's a big oof, but I hope we can make Motorstorm's legacy live as long as possible with the lasting fans and hopefully new fans along the way
Crazy good video! Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is one of my favorite games of all time, such a nostalgic video! And now that its fully playable on PCSX3 on 4k 60fps, bet your ass ill put many more hours into it!!
Real good vid, i loved this game.
I remember playing the demo for the first motorstorm and I instantly fell in love with it
Love this video, looks like a pretty cool game.
This guy need more recognition for the build quality of his videos this is good shit
Still looks amazing what a series.
Thanks for the video! Really great work!
I'm really hoping that Sony would review the game some day, as there is tons of potential to be exploited with the new consoles :)
Holy crap I just remembered this game as soon as this popped up. I had it on my old PS3 it was freaken fun as hell man
This video makes me moist and brings back my childhood, ok I probably shouldn't have the words moist and childhood in the same sentence but that's alright
This video needs a new recognition my favorite was pacific rift
Anything that needs a remaster in the future, it's this series.
You just unlocked a whole part of my childhood holy shit
So this is the racing game that i thought was super unique when i used to play it endlessly on my psp, i just saw your thumbnail and was god damn it this is that game i never got to know it's name but i loved, also i remember deleting it by mistake on my psp and feeling like shit.
But tonight, on this small planet
We're going to rock civilization
DADADAA DADADAA DADADAAAA
Damn I get goosebumbs every time I think about playing the OG Motorstorm on christmas eve on the brand new PS3 that my parents bought me. Or playing Pacific Rift with my dad after we were done working in the forest. Those were better times man..
Loved this series ❤
2:59 Hahahah that's a good addition you put in the top left
You should make more videos man I really enjoyed this one
I miss playing Arctic Edge on my PSP, seeing posters of it everywhere too... good times.
Time to emulate that sucker and live the good times again!
I remember playing these games and loving every bit of it
I always felt like the Motorstorm series was a spiritual successor of some sort to Sony’s Jet Moto franchise in PS1 but Apocalypse had some real Aftershock vibes to it. Every time I see it I think of that track from Jet Moto 2.
I was obsessed with Moto. I didn't care for this game at all. Wasn't my cup of tea. Never owned it. I love racing games.
@@kevincollins8620 Apocalypse was the weakest of the PS3 Motorstorm trilogy. The graphics, physics and difficulty were below that of Motorstorm and Motorstorm Pacific Rift. It doesn’t even feel like it was made by the same developer really.
I think they had a rushed job and a smaller budget than they had with the first two games.
@@Underthegun897 they had a smaller budget, but the game changed the art direction to a more grounded racing style, that, in my opinion, makes it unique rather than inferior, hard to compare.
The graphical jump from PS2 to PS3 was huge, having both plus Motorstorm on launch day was such an eye opener.
Thank you for your help! It works perfectly!
I remember playing the pacific one for sure, and maybe the first one too. Used to love these as a kid
Having played a lot of racing games on the PS2, Motorstorm's instant retry blew my freaking mind back in the day
bro motorstorm was a amazing series, apocalypse being my favourite
greatvideo!
Wow didn't realize that little detail about the ms: apocalypse release. I live in new Zealand and found a copy in the bargain bin of the local gamestore pre-owned for $10. (Perhaps it was imported prior idk). Bought it on a whim but it sits humbly on the shelf next to the o.g. underated rare gem imo and its a hella good time split screen with the bois
One of my favourite games off all time. It was tricky to master with terrain and vehicle types. Pacific rift was also a great follow up.
Ah, this was a wonderfully fun series. When I got a PS3, for three years the only games I had were Pacific Rift and the first two Resistance games. I played the everloving hell out of all three, but PR was the one on which I wasted a majority of my youth. It really shaped what I considered to be a good racing game; I find things like Forza incredibly dull by comparison. It was always skin-of-your-teeth, adapt-on-the-fly, adrenaline-inducing madness and I loved every second of it. The variety of tracks, sheer colour and effusive energy ensured I was playing it right up until my PS3 eventually got the yellow light of death. I did also have Apocalypse, but I picked it up pretty late; 'twas already dead by that time. Still great fun though. A criminally underserved and forgotten series.
Side note: The same is true of Resistance, another franchise left buried in the ashes of the empire it once held. Fall of Man might as well be my favourite console shooter ever made. And local split-screen! Christ, do you remember when games had that? Those were good times... If you were to make a similar video on Resistance, I for one would appreciate it. I caught a glimpse of it there in your emulator list, and I long for the old days. The game box still gathers dust on my shelf, and it makes me sad.
great video, thank You, I wish you make such video for bournout
I played Motorstorm ONCE and spent YEARS trying to remember the name! Then I saw this video!!!!! I really wish Wreckfest and Motor Storm would make a mashup game.
YOOOO that apocalypse one looks INTENSE!!! WTF I would have loved to play that as a kid!
I enjoyed motorstorm, I also have fond memories of being a child playing a motocross game that was over the top like ssx but can’t seem to remember it’s name.
MS-A was my go to game during my early teen years. Played with a group of guys called the MOB. Remember spending so much time practicing and getting better in that game so I could have a chance of beating the group leader. Felt so good to finally do it. Dont think Ill ever find another racing game like that again, and its a pity.
Man disabling the motion blur alone makes emulating worth it and this is from someone who put hundreds of hours into PR and Apocalypses back in the day
Omg when "i wanna take u on a roller coaster" started playing i got nostalgic chills
So much nostalgia!
One of my favorite games ever, fond memories of racing as a family, either spit screen or on 2 different ps3s fun times.
Great video, makes me really sad that we may never get a remake/remaster of any motorstorm game );
Its honestly sad to see motorstorm fall like it did. Actually now understanding why Apoc didn';t do so well and never playing it till 2 years ago(i know im late).. its genuinely sad to hear the full extent. Its good to hear that its not died on the fan side and really good to hear that theres a Motorstorm fan game coming out too. Great Video. Makes me now want to get the others now.
I remember playing this game so much on my PSP nearly 12 years ago so I have so many great memories playing it with my cousins
I played mostly the first on PS3. for some reason this game was unusually gripping for a "generic" racing game. It was the combination of the over-the-top environments, the varied but well-balanced set of vehicles to choose from and the incredibly strong soundtrack. Also there's something about the presentation of the menu's that made you feel like you were "there" at a huge scale illegal racing festival.
I remember playing this at a friends house, he was like the first guy i knew to get a ps3.. the graphics were jaw-dropping
Great series, the SSX of Driving Games.
This was so good the demo was amazing never got to play the whole game but I wish I did
I only ever played the first one, but I played the hell out of it! The game looked _so_ good for it's time.
