Kyle thanks for diagram and explanation of kickoff rules.BTW completely agree with Achane as KR.
A really great channel about American football and how the game was started and evolved is Hardcore College Football. It gives a great perspective of the rules and how it’s changed. It even talks about “mass plays” which is basically what the “tush push” is and how it was outlawed in the early 1900s because players were dying from severe injuries.
Can't wait for Danny Crossman to rank last in a new type of play. 😮

I would kick it out of the end zone for the first few weeks. Give the opposing team the ball at the 30. Do this for the first few weeks of the season until the dust settles and you see how this is going to work.

This rule change is scary to me as a Dolphin fan. Crossman’s kick coverage hasn’t been exactly stellar to day the least. I am having scary visions of opposing teams returning kick offs for a TD. McDaniel should tell the kicker to kick it out of the EZ if return coverage is soft as I fear. I’d rather see the ball at the 30 rather than seeing the opponents kicking an extra point.

That's crazy to think you would put Are youngest best upcoming RB Achane on kick returns. This RB Can catch and give yack yards 4 +rec per game . And 20 toches a game .This Dude is only going to get better in 2024 . We don't need our best RB, WR .On special teams we're looking on to get a Super bowl. JUST A THUOGHT😮

It’s football, there’s always injury risk plus Achane was a great returner at A&M while I don’t think Wright returned kicks at Tennessee, and Achane’s also faster than Wright. But I’m ok with either.

I googled it. Quick version - NO surprise onside kicks. Only the losing team in the 4th quarter can do it. They tell the refs, and they set up in an old fashioned onside kick.

Meh 5 yards (you said "extra 10 yards" but kicking it out of the end zone only gives up 5 yards, not 10) is not THAT big of a difference... I can still see most teams just still kicking it out of the end zone, specially if the opposing team has a dangerous returner. 10 minutes in so no idea what you gonna say but I say you put Devon Achane and Jaylen Wright back as kick returners. LOL stop it Crossman.... There is no chance in HELL that any team is gonna risk an offensive lineman as a kick return blocker. OOF you crazy Kyle @LockedOnDolphins

Hi Kyle - how about this off the wall suggestion - put QB in catching position, and Waddle and Beckham on outside - sneak them on around the end - opponents Special Teams have no time to react but QB has all the time in the world to thread the needle to outside 😳 would be interested in your views
The dolphins lost too many of their best players especially on defense. We had a great defense but unfortunately I think we are going to take a major step backwards and go back to looking like the old Dolphins, before our defense got good and everybody was running all over us . Hope I'm wrong, plus I it's really incredulous that we haven't even replaced Robert Hunt. I think our o- line will be a total disaster like it was last year. We are going to have two guys playing guards that are backups, doubt if we make the playoffs. But I think we did fantastic in the draft especially getting an ol Man and a defensive line Man our two key needs but we still need a dl maybe and two guards. Maybe one of our ot can play guard, not really sure. But I think we may need one starting DL, maybe. Because if teams are able to run all over us it's going to make it tough to win.
