That's a great way to make acid run a lot faster. Especially when creating a beat or mixing/mastering. First select the region you want rendered. Then make sure the tracks you want rendered are "solo'd out." Then select "render to new track" in the tools tab. Select your save location and file name. Check the box for "render loop region only" & "save project markers with media file." As a note for better quality and mixing/mastering I would save the file as a wav. Then click save and paint the track on. I wouldn't delete the separate tracks. you can simply create a folder and drag them into the folder, then mute them.

Are you exporting it or rendering it? Also within mixing I would only use Wav files for better quality. Make sure the tempo is the same when on the rendered project as the MIDI project.

You have to use a midi keyboard. It will install to your computer with a USB cord and usually comes with an install cd. This is the one I use. M-Audio Oxygen 25 MIDI Keyboard Controller.
You can also turn a traditional keyboard into a MIDI keyboard, but it's a task to set that up. Its what I'm going to do. I need to record my keyboard and I need a MIDI keyboard, so I'm going to hook my regular keyboard up directly to my computer. And i have Acid Music Studio 10, which has a Piano Roll, no Keyboard needed. Best addition they could have made to Acid. I'm a huge fan and user of digital Piano Rolls.

You can buy Vst’s from guitar center/samash and to install them it’s a step by step process. I do know after it’s installed you’ll want to copy and paste the .dll vst file inside the Vstplugins folder. That folder is located under your c:drive > program files > Vst Plugins. There are some free Vst’s out there as well but if you want good quality they won’t be free. Native instruments has the best IMO. I have upgraded to ACID Pro 10 Suite and it does come with a couple more Vst’s

I've used Acid Pro 7 for years as far as making beats, recording and even putting out my own album. But when it comes to all of this MIDI stuff.... I just don't understand, man. I went to the Native Instruments website, created an account and started downloading all of the free VST's. It's very confusing on how I get them to work, let alone trying to pull them up in Acid under "Soft Synths" through adding a MIDI track. Is there anything that you can do to help me or even recommend a video on this entire subject? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
@@matthewmontoya7451 Unfortunately it’s really hard to explain. I learned midi by teaching myself over the years & I’ve been using acid since acid pro 4 in 2004. Before Sony sold acid to Magix they had a lot of forums giving better info.
@@matthewmontoya7451 I just downloaded a free VST from spitfire audio labs and it was a step by step install. Very easy. Then I opened Acid Pro 7 and created a new soft synth track and it worked perfect. Sometimes just closing Acid and restarting it fixes the issue
I'm not familiar with using a keyboard to control midi function. This would probably need to be done by a computer programmer who can change the software coding. You can get pretty cheap midi keyboards new for about $100

Sales Sou Well like I said, I think it's a software issue. When I installed mine it had the folder. It shouldn't matter the name of the folder either. After you install the vst or soft synth, when you go to select the vst or soft synth you want to use in the track, it will show in that folder name (which I showed in this video), as long as you have installed legal versions of the vst's or soft synths.
K H Acid 7 automatically adds cross fades at the end and beginning of each track (you’ll have to zoom in) and you can stretch them by left clicking and dragging left or right in the fade section.
Hi I did a synth line and duplicated it but when I change the sound they both play the same one instead of the original playing one sound and the new duplicate a different sound how do I fix this ?
I suggest, Bounce(render) to WAV files, wav files are full cd lossless files. If you are bouncing to drop stems, like to send for pro mastering, you are going to want all wav files, you can bounce to aff also( for MAC users). Almost all uploaders for sales sites, want your tracks to be wav or aff, like itunes for example, because from there, the customer buying your digital downloads have a choice, you can go down compression, but never go up and you want your tracks to shine out.
I want to click on the first loop and the rest (in the same track) of them are not liked to the first loop - I want them to move. I want to click on the first loop and they all move. I know I can link all. How do I do it. It's something simple.
klk96 yes it is. You have to use the selection tool and have to left click and drag over what you want to move. Then click & hold one part of the wav/MP3 file to move it. If this doesn't clarify your answer let me know and I'll see if I can respond better.
When I click one the first track in the loop and I click on and I SHIFT select the last loop in the track - they all move with my selection on my first track - they're linked. That always worked when I got it. And it doesn't work now. It's a selection of the wherever your first loop is and when they're linked you can move everything. It avoids pileup. I hope that clarifies my problem.

I’ve never added a custom sound for MIDI. I’ve only used MIDI sounds. Maybe you can convert a regular sound file to a MIDI file somehow

Sales Sou when you install acid pro it creates a VST folder. I'm not sure why you don't have one.
in my case, acid pro doesn't have one. only in sony folder there is a share=plugin folder
