      Yo how do I use Multiple-Buses for one track?? 😢 ...
      then I want to just send the track to the bus without the original track itself playing (I just want sound to be coming from the bus)

    Fantastic video.... Love Acid and SoundForge... I started using SoundForge first to sample my synths then got Acid.. This is about late 1990's before that i was using 4-track cassette recorders and Trackers on an Amiga.... Still using both of these great programmes today... I also love Reaper as a DAW... Keep the Vid's comming....

      i still have a windows 7 machine to run acid pro! with 32gb ram and i3 3.67 processor I can run so many plugins for making sounds with!.. with the plugins you can get these days, it has made fl studio and reason obsolete. i do also have cubase 11 on a windows 10 machine so I can open 64bit vst3 plugins but I noticed most of those are just remakes of old 32bit vst plugins! and I tested quality of 32bit plugins and 64bit plugins and there is no difference in sound quality!! so using acid pro on a fast windows 7 machine means lots more cpu and ram available for making beats with because acid pro 7 barely uses anything compared to other daws which did not make it into my top five reasons i use acid pro but if i did a top 10 I would have also mentioned that! also thanks for your feedback sir! have got some great video ideas for future videos showing why acid pro is such good software. have spent over 20 years using this software and found many hacks for it!! all these other software are just trying to make money off complex marketing campaigns rather than delivering a solid product. if you want to trigger drums or live sounds which for me is not how i prefer to write music then ableton is best for that. or cubase. but really when you write music there is more accuracy in drawing and editing then there is in bashing buttons and trying to do it in a live performance. for a live performance i would use a software which is made for live performance! but for witing music and editing acid pro is the absolute boss of daws and came out after cubase and fl studio so it made improvements on what was already out there. in my opinion reaper is just a cheaper remake of acid pro, so I rather trust sony software than the reaper brand in all honesty!

    I have been creating in this program since 1998, starting with the first version. I'm currently using 10 pro and am very pleased. There is very little information about this wonderful program. I found your channel and was surprised by so many videos about Acid! Cool!

    Yes, ACID PRO is the best. I used since Sony Acid Pro 5 along with Sound Forge to help produce all of my music. It's easy and reliable.

    i downloaded acid pro 6 way back in like 2006 or something and i still use it. not for music though i mainly use it for quickly converting audio to wav or for some simple edits. i had no idea it can do all this advanced stuff. i think i'm going to finally use it for what it's meant for

      that's a good idea! some people moan it's audio engine is not good, don't know you can to go file properties then change from stereo to surround sound, or go higher than 44,100 up to 192,000 and from 16bit up to 24bit and change the file format it converts too!..so yea for just converting files, that is a really creative way to use it! awesome! thanks for sharing!

    Awesome! I'm glad to see someone making tutorials for Acid. I haven't used it in years, but I'm trying to improve my youtube videos with my own music. Is it possible and if so do you have a video on opening two projects in the same timeline. What I'm trying to do is score my videos, but I'd like to have multiple songs open with all the painted sound bit blocks so I can snap things to key parts of my videos. Is that possible, thanks a bunch.

      I know what you mean, but really the only way I work round this is render stems, audio tracks, save your midi tracks, as seperate files, with a note to reming yourself which instruments or settings you used, then drag and drop everything into the other project. even if you have two copies of acid open you can't just copy and paste one track line into another, but this is a workaround.

Cranked up the volume to max, still can't follow you. But i do appreciate your time and effort sharing this video. Tallyho fellow musician 🫡

    thank you so much for this video!!! i'm so happy acid pro still exists! i've been using the 4.0 version (and soundforge 6.0) on a 2014 windows xp laptop and, fearing the end was near, started trying to learn ableton… but NOTHING is like acid pro!!! one question though, does soundforge come with acid pro or do i need to buy it separately? 🙈
    edit: goes without saying, but you have a new faithful subscriber. 🙏

    The software was just "Acid" then I believe. I don't recall when the pro version was released. I was on Acid Planet as well back in the day. "Met" a lot of cool, talented artists. Even collaborated through the internet before many people had figured that out.

  • @teddym2808
    @teddym2808 Рік тому

    I like the software but it is so crash heavy. Also I hate how when a plugin window is open I literally have to click back to the clips view to stop and start playback. That's so draconian and a workflow killer. The only solution I can see around it is possible something like a faderport so I can control playback from there.

    Track bouncing is also an incredible chore.. unbelievably poor and they could fix this rather than leave the software stagnant with just version number increases for the last decade.

    Acid was gonna be my DAW after dealing with the Sonar UI being cluttered. If Acid only had a window dedicated to midi that would've done it. I could easily make counter argument to this video. The most important were FL is superior is it evolves. All Magix does is change the paint and expect you to pony up $99 for upgrades. I think their recent upgrade is turning it into click to pay iTunes model. You'll see that on their forums. Their loops are nowhere near the quality when it was Sony. Acid is still an underrated DAW but one can show ignorance comparing it to other DAWs. Apples and oranges. Acid is at the bottom when it comes to worthy paid upgrades. It is at the bottom when it comes to it evolving. After Sony sold it many jumped to Mixcraft.

      the fact they removed sony orchestra and essential plugins for mastering is really what I didn't like. magix replaced sony fx with third party ones and the orchestral instruments with acid pro 7 are superior to those in acid pro 10. also tools for music theory writing scales and keys with acid pro 7.

      also not mentioned in my video, windows 10 is full of spyware and auto-updates! acid pro 10 runs best on windows 10 same how acid pro 7 runs best on windows 7! but windows 7 doesn't auto-update and full of spyware that stop programs and vst plugins from running if it suspects them to be dodgy in anyway! and since most plugins are made by small companies that is most of them! I have a 32gb ram i3 3.67 processor running windows 7 with acid pro 7 and I have a 16gb i5 3.67 running windows 10 so i can run latest cubase which forces you to have windows 10.. and already they brought out windows 11... its just a way to make more money for software companies. everything you need to do to make music has already been invented and doesn't need changing! so many plugins to make sounds with! yet now you have to get latest versions of plugins to run on newer systems even though they do the same thing! its just a waste of money! acid 7 runs so fast and uses hardly any cpu or ram which means running 32 bit plugins which are no different in audio quality than 64 bit plugins I can run a lot more plugins! all you really need to make good sounds is decent plugins! all the best plugins for making sounds are 32bit vst and the newer ones are just remakes of those plugins in 64bit vst3 format which uses more ram and cpu! unless you play games you don't need 64bit! it makes no difference with audio it just means you have to spend loads more money and say goodbye to all the plugins you have spent 20 years collecting and start again! not worth it!

    I will make a video why don’t buy Sony Acid.

    • @djcaseuk
      @djcaseuk  2 роки тому +4

      you come on my channel saying you gonna make a video why not to buy sony acid pro, yet in one of your 2012 videos you have already proved it's the operating system your using, not the software!...windows 8 causing problems with your cubase reason and fl studio YET in your own words "sony acid pro works fine"...I have said for a long time windows 8 and 10 engine is a problem, not the software! this is because it is primary designed for touch screens if you want to know the technicals behind it, and that is why I still use windows 7 for all my music production software apart from cubase 11, I have been forced to run on a windows 10 machine because software companies work together forciing you to upgade so they can make more money. cubase 11 onwards no longer runs on windows 7! maybe i should have also included that in my video 5 reasons you should use sony acid pro instead of fl studio and cubase so you can avoid all the auto updates and spyware that comes with windows 10! also I can rewire fl studio and reason into acid pro fine no problems, but I don't do this much because there is much much better plugins out there for making sounds with, such as massive or serum which for me made reason and fl studio obsolete software as this video partly mentions! .only reason i still have cubase 11 is so i can open 64bit vst3 plugins. again another pointless upgrade we are being forced to endure when there is already plugins out there to make any sound with, it's just jargon to sell more products telling people they need to have 64bit vst3 even though people have been making electronic music perfectly fine for the last 3 decades.. what you do need though is plenty of ram and cpu to process all your plugins...hey instead of being negative and making a negative video like the content I watched on your channel, why not try finding some helpful solutions for people instead that help peoples problems. you would get more subscribers then instead of making negative unhelpful videos like this where the only positive thing you said is sony acid pro still works fine, in your own words you say acid pro is fine lol ua-cam.com/video/ZguEAjEYbZg/v-deo.html ( ;)

      Fl studio wipes the floor with majic acid. Stem separation disappeared from acid. There customer support is rubbish. Fl studio upgrades for life and has far better stock instruments. As for patterns in fl studio, just name and link them. There is a reason acid isn't very popular, latest version and the near to be released have seen massive upgrades for free in fl. Each to there own but the DAW wars are pointless. Use what you are comfortable with. I've now gone onto a mac mini pro so don't use acid thankfully. If they put it on mac then I would download my license again but majic aren't interested. And they would charge for it again and again. Nothing against you, plenty great tutorials for fl but not acid.
