    WoW! UA-cam suggested your channel yesterday and I've been binge watching your channel. I'm impressed with all the research and resources that you've done to plan your van life trip around the world. I'm 51 but when I grow up (retire in 6 yrs) I would love to do life similar as you guys. Kudos to you & Snow, you're truly an inspiration!

    Wow! I’ve now listened to your entire Build Cost Series. It’s obvious that you spent a lot of time researching and putting tons of information together in an easy and informative way. I love that you used your van build as a concrete example from which viewers could modify to either simpler or sweeter version. I haven’t seen any other video like this. It’s so helpful to have a big picture of the costs and what you get. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

    Hi again SNOW&CURT
    What's amazing is you Curt! I'm the wrong person to even try to digest all of build stuff. But I did watch parts that I knew would make sense to me. But all in all your series is just terrific and the detailed blueprints etc are such an unexpected bonus. I surely can understand the research time involved! You did a beautiful job with your van and I have no doubt there will be many who will appreciate and benefit from all your time and effort. You both have your own skills and when combined you're definitely a dynamic duo!
    Thx as always for sharing. Hope everything is going good now that you're back on the road. Catcha again soon...

    Now I am depressed … I knew looking at a few of your videos a lot of money was spent, but I’m overwhelmed. A few years ago I opened a bakery. It closed at the start of COVID and I lost everything, my life savings and ended in debt. (Do not feel sorry for me I’m just explaining … many others have had it much worse)..
    I’ve always wanted to travel some in a van (I live in mallorca) … my hope was to do it on a shoestring … I know that many things you have done I would not need and I can simplify … but I love your home. I’d love to have a home like that. And now I wish I never watched this because I know it is not in my stars …
    I am very happy for both of you and while COVID slowed you down some, I’m very happy you’re giving up on your dream.
    Thank you for explaining everything

You'll explain only your build or you will point on possible improvements (build/materials) based on experience accumulated in almost 2 years on the van? Snow & Curt Wow! So tempting! We love watching conversations of all kinds. So fun to watch and learn. Maybe one day, maybe something else.
      Your cats are ok w living in a small space? Do you have an outside tent space or do you walk them? When you leave the van, how do the kitties keep cool or warm? We have pets too.

    Expensive but your van is amazing! I think we are going to be in around $25k with the cost of our bus after we’re done.. hopefully be done in a couple of months. I think we will outsource the electrical but I think they quoted us for $8,000. That includes a 500 watt solar setup, gennie, alternator charging, plugin, mini split, and running all wires. Gonna be sweet! Follow on Instagram: #thewonderboybus.
    Glad you guys are doing great! I’ve followed you since the beginning and you were a huge motivation for us in doing what we are doing with our rig. Take care you two! Kat+Cam

    Wow that is a lot of money, and it's still just a van conversion. What do you anticipate it's resale value to be in, say, 5 years?

    • @SnowAndCurt
      @SnowAndCurt  4 роки тому

      For us, resale is not in our plans. We will travel the world in this van for 10-12 years... The van will go with us wherever we settle down at when our journey is over... It will serve as a guest room for folks that come to visit us.

      It's one of the best van conversions ever and not many compare with such nice custom features & comfort. Curt built it like a house so it's not just any conversion. It's made as an investment for themselves to live and travel in, not for the resale value.

    So about 3.5 years of average rent for a house around here would pay for that in full.

    Call me crazy for $110,000 be nice to take the van into colder weather that van would freeze up in a heartbeat.

    • @SnowAndCurt
      @SnowAndCurt  4 роки тому

      We actually designed and installed a recircualtion system that heats the water based on temperature and circulates it thru the whole system so water will not freeze in the pumps, tanks, or fittings. Should serve us fine in mild feezing temps... and we will avoid long tern harsh freezes becuase the cold hurts! LOL
