Tor Eternum lead dev here. Thank you for the kind words. I agree with everything you said. Dashing in the direction of your movement was added in the game as an option just today. Better visual feedback on selling an item is high on the list. And I definitely agree the game is better with more people. A bunch of your fans are playing the game now, I hope you get the chance to play with them.
Thank you for your review. I hope to see you in the tower. 😃
Seems feedback on most of the things could be a bit crisper from what I saw in this video.
The difference between an attack that feels impacty and one that feels floaty is huge for enjoyment
that sounds great but if you can add some kinda of monk/brawler bare handed fighter i'm in.
no matter what, i just love to play monk like character no matter the game tho.
Please keep solo still as an option. I like to dawdle around and sometimes go afk! So i can't always play with other people.
Splat does really fair reviews
You have a really cool concept for a game. I wish more people were playing it but keep your heads up. To end up on splats channel and get this level of focus shows you have something dope and your efforts are worth it.
This channel is the reason my Steam Wishlist is such a mess! Keep up the good work!
Yup. Cause of him just bought Death Trash.
I just started the video.... is this another not released yet but here's all the hype you can't experience type of video?
I feel the same way. This channel started my steam wishlist for the most part.
Facts
I wish we could organize our wishlists like our library. .
“You get to do MMO like raids, without needing to invest days of your life!” 😃
“You still need to find a group to raid with” 😢
This channel is fricken kryptonite to my wallet.
This game would be amazing if you could have randomized AI allies to raid the boss as a party, that would be the shit
Most games fail miserably on AI companions.
They might work kinda, but you definately wont get any good experience from that.
I love playing as healer/buffer characters, but so far no game allowed me to play healer with bots being my tank/dps team and enjoy it.
@@hubertnnn Could do like Diablo II did and have dumbed-down hireling classes that are basically meat shields with one attack and a utility skill. AI would work better with simplified characters.
@@hubertnnn I feel the healers pain as well, healer tank is the best. And now I have to go play some league fml
yeah... but it would totally wreck already low participation rates of ppl willing to lobby up and play with actual real humans.. I'd prefer personally solo play over multiplayer but thats just me maybe.
2:35 On the plus side, if you do play and the Dev plays a lot, then you have a good chance of ending up in a party with the dev.
#1 Rule of Raiding: If there's shit on the ground, DON'T STAND IN IT!
"his big blue balls are bouncin all over the arena" - didn't expect to hear that on a boss raid, but you know what, try stabing the balls if you're lucky it will cause CRITICAL DAMAGE.
On the plus side, just by featuring the game you've probably jacked up the playerbase by a huge percentage.
One can tell the happiness on Splat's voice once he realises the priestess still up for more floors lol
been watching the channel for years, splat always has good showcases.
4:15 Characters & stuff
9:18 Gameplay starts
The town setting really reminds of Darkest Dungeon. Me just finished the 2nd boss (Resentment) in Darkest Dungeon 2 yesterday also adds to the nostalgia. Darkest Dungeon 2 is good but it's very roguelike and super punishing compared to the dungeon exploration of Darkest Dungeon and I miss it so much.
as someone who played a ton of hammerwatch with friends, and also balks at 3h raid sessions, this is compelling
Great video :) you got me back into rpgs again
I just found your channel and I love all the indie games that you cover, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the video splat! I just want to say I like the bank mechanic
Good job helping out a lower level Moko! I'm diggin this game and Death Trash. Both look like fun.
Great concept (and I am sure a lot of work too), hopefully appearing in this video helps them to get more people into playing
Thanks for the vid Splatt
lmfao everytime i watch a video, sometimes more than once you come out of your mouth randomly with something that is pure comedy gold. i love your channel dude dont ever quit..... hahaha
I hate games with group requirements Thanks for the vid, bro!
Great review as always
I wish this game all the best. It needs and deserves some exposure
Thanks for showcasing! ^^
Love my daily Splat content. I bought Star Valor dude - LOVE IT!! Thank you for the work - awesome!!
Me too. And now I feel like I wanna buy this just to boost the player count 😅
The accessibility of the co-op is nice.
Looks interesting, I like the aesthetic and the dungeon crawler style. I'd probably be more interested if there was a non-time-attack mode, though. It's kind of counterintuitive to me to play a dungeon crawler with lots of breakables to loot and monsters to kill, but then the game rushes you through it and punishes you if you take too much time to enjoy what it offers. Having both time-attack and relaxed options would make more sense to me.
Thanks for the video.
Hot damn that Streets of Rage 2 reference was so specific but incredibly accurate. I’d love to see something like this as well.
the gear affixes are hilarious, ''of the glowing elephant'' ... :D
Doesnt that hamlet make you nostalgic for older pc games and Darkest Dungeon ^^'
You gotta make a monthly top games or yearly, you have the best videos for games like these, the mostly hidden gems. Ive put like 1000 hours into star sector after I found it from you ❣
There must be something to this game, because this video felt shorter than it was.
This channel is Godsend work for Indies! Keep it up for a definite symbiotic effect!
Yo, this game looks sick as hell
“Obviously his big blue balls are bouncing all over the arena right now, adding insult to injury.” - SplatterCatGaming
If a really big UA-camr were to cover this, I bet it could be a huge success.
Before splatterCatGaming > 7 to 9 people
After
100 - 500 people.
what a good and great youtube. (i actually hoping to get it once i get, thanks to you for recomending it)
This looks fun
I can't say I'm expecting this game to do well. It's very optimistic and likely naive to create a game that relies on multiplayer and finding (relatively) large groups of people to get the most out of it when you're a solo, unknown developer. That is assuming the game is not only a passion project like many others out there but is also meant to do well commercially. The discussions forums are already quite dead despite the recent launch and the regular updates.
An interesting idea, and the game is getting nice reviews from the people it did capture, but atm seems very lackluster in content and community and the gameplay is too basic to justify the price tag.
This makes me sad. But then I remember I'm doing design for big corps and I remember what they are doing is a meaningful endeavour.
looks pretty cool actually
I'll take one for the team and play this by myself.
bought because of your video ... again... (thank you)
Pretty cool, I've been doing some investigating and research into the reactionary procedures in the entanglement of dual realities in a photosynthetic plane, and in the perceiving and attaining of more materialistic focal objects and things in different places. Keep up the good work! And as coconut water can be really good hydration in alot of things that I really love alot.
Hello bot
I dig it 😎🤟
0:00 Imma be honest, I saw this scene and I was expecting a Darkest Dungeon ripoff.
Basically not enough playergratification 😂 Splatt is a classic gamer
3 hours? You should have seen the requirements for submitting your resume to a BWL, or Nax raiding guild in WoW vanilla! The original vanilla, not the nerfed vanilla from a couple years ago. It was nuts!
Well, in wow you did spend time playing "single player" between the guild/raid stuff.
And it had a ton of things to do, quests and story to follow, crafting etc.
So you just wait for someone to raid with while doing other stuff.
@@hubertnnn The end game guilds in vanilla were like a second job. Once Nax came out, the time between resets had to be spent farming materials for flasks and pots. Then came the rep farming for AQ. I couldn't stop laughing the first time I was in AQ and heard "Your friends will betray you." 😉
they need to have an option to put your friends health bars and up to be monitored either over their heads and/or on a side menu like parties traditionally are so you can decide if you need to go peal guys off or if they are good.... or when they need heals etc.
I remember playing this during the recent steam demo fest and there was indeed an option to turn on other players health bars, splatty just didn't turn it on
star valor can u get ur fleet ie mining ships to pick up the ore for u ??
16:17 the character name is Leomonde.
Yet I keep reading it as lemonade.
So no wilderness traveling?
Not every town has a giant microscope!
I have bought way too many games because of you and nook
Should be able to choose a bot/pet class if no one to play with
I don't usually compare the late TB to UA-camrs, but my god, dude, you do what he did with his "WTF IS" series.
Other than dragon's dogma can we get a game like this or you can have a full on AI team if there is one out there please let me know
1. They could add mercenary guild that you could pay to have npc help you fight dungeons.
He could require to be paid with game money and power of the npc is based on how pricy npc you buy.
They could be time based so depending on you speed you could clear more dungeons.
2. I also think that they could add more variety to dungeon designs as in make walls on as flat and some corners could be less sharp.
They could create dangerous terrain that hurts you or slows you when you go on it and add bridges to go through them.
3. I think that this game also lacks forced movement as in moving platforms or skills that move enemies or enemies that move you.
lel Splat you just had someone impersonating you answerer to my comment
Could always ask your patrons to run the dungeon with you for the group content... I'm sure some would be interested.
Except that one fight where if you don't stand in the fire you die.
reminds me of OG Gauntlet
looks like a new gauntlet
I'm a little bit not sure if that town visualization that looks like panting are matching fine with pixel art
standing in fire means more dps spaltter!
nice
0:51 -- what kind of drink is it going to order?
Try Mist Legacy next please.
0:45 i raid like 5 hours per weekend, once a week and its pretty fun soooo ^^
What's your 3 favorite indi game of 2022 so far?
I thought he was gonna play Eternum 😳
🖤
It's also 10$ which isn't a lot but when other games similar to this are at 2-3$ it's probably a factor.
The idea of condensing the raid experience is really smart. Shame it's hitting the playerbase issue, it's a tough loop to break.
Splat's Condensed Review: 24:44
Not sure if you know these guys? Nookrium, Raptor, Many a True Nerd? 3 examples of indy reviewers that might work with you for such a game. You and Many playing together would be great content. His humor like yours is decent:)
Nook is an OG but Raptor is an absolute shill sry
👏👍
I like it. Needs players to succeed though.
well i want it
gameplay starts at 9:20
Please play Dinkum and let us know what you think.
Breathe.
23:34 Highlight of the video.
Aka Aka Aka Aka Aka Akaaaaaa!!!! 🤣
"Things of that nature" count: LOW (1)
Dragon Age: Inquisition multi-player was good for quick raids. Just a shame very little activity now. About 5 levels with a boss fight at the end.
Bestish
on a 28 min video you spent 10 minutes on the start screen..... why?
Different pixel scales, some pixel text and some not. As if retro rendered on an impossible screen. This isn't the first game to mess this up. I know it's hard to have a pixel grid in Unity (etc) and graphics aren't everything. I just wish someone would just have a universal shader to get the pixel grid as a final pass like we had with the zillion cell shading games.
Cool looking game but going to have to pass with the heavy MP focus. Looks fun if you're into that sort of thing though.
2 things that i do not like from what i see are, whatever those symbols are that float on top of the char, and, the timed thing.
I like the idea behind this, but it feels like you have to make a lot of concessions to just avoid playing final fantasy xiv
If this was under 5$ I would buy it without thinking twice just to try it out. Right now there's just way too little content to justify its price tag. I'm sure the dev is proud of it, but not to be mean, it's still a nobody's game with little content that requires a lot of players to reach it's potential, it needs to be far more accessible. It's already hard enough to convince people to try indie games.
If only Heros of Hammerwatch looked this good, I love everything about this game except the gameplay. Multi player in a indie title like this might disapear quickly and the loop looks boring. If this game was a full on dungeon crawler with meta progression I would be all in. Kudos to the developers for trying something new though, it just looks like a missed opportunity.
Please, SplatterCatGaming... try the game Something Unlimited... o.o'''''''''
That's stupid! no indicator of health of party members 0_O

Hero Siege
“I’m a grown ass man” who plays video games all day.love you brother but come on
Spaltty might have killed this game "in the womb". Players may be reluctant to jump in if they feel they will never have the full experience.
