The sporty field watch one day refused to run like it kept dying after I wore it for 20 minutes and winded it but it felt like it wasn’t working

No, you can't. Other end of the automatic watch mainspring doesn't connect to anything inside the mainspring barrel. It's designed to slip a little bit every time it exceeds full wind, making sure it doesn't break. With correct amount of friction grease it doesn't slip too much or too early.
They're a mixed bag to be honest, some of them being better than others. The QC is not always there but some of them offer good specs and looks for the money. San Martin is probably one of the best of those chinese brands. A lot of them tempt to be "clones" of more popular or expensive watches. It's up to you to see if you are ok about that.
i am 15 and today i bought my first automatic watch from garage sale it is a vintage swatch from 1991 and i love it . I boght it for 6 bucks.

Yup. Depending on the reserve you may have to wind one before bed to keep it running all night
