Hey, Dama! Great points! One additional variable to consider in favor of 151 in the PSA grading department: Evo Skies currently has an overall 63.33% gem rate. English 151 currently has a 40.05% gem rate. So, unless print quality gets much better going forward, 151 will have the overall advantage in grading. That being said, alt art vmax cards are much tougher pulls than SIRs (but the vmax alts have much better gem rates, Moonbreon has around a 75%). Cheers!
I think Crown Zenith is the next Evolving Skies .. a super sleeper. The cards in the Gallery are WAY better then 151 imo, and I'm a 1st generation collector.
Fun fact: if you filter for Special Illustration Rares in Pokemon’s official site in the card list search section, the second half of the galarian gallery subset (the ones without yellow borders) are all classified as SIR’s, even though the 2 gold star system had not been implemented yet, as it started with SV base set. So rarity-wise, they are easier pulls than alternate arts from the Sword & Shield era. Anyway, I agree with you on the art being better in CZ, but English 151 has an advantage in the grading department (the print quality is much worse so PSA 10’s will be rarer and overall value should be higher).

151 will go down as one of the best sets ever. People will hate this take, but it’s the og pokemon for the 90s kids like me, it’s got all the gimmicky fancy new things for the current kids and it has some really great art works

I like 151, but as far as artwork goes, Evo has better artwork. Gigantimax give them more ideas.

@@LEGOAgenda 151 could, over time, rival it. Going beyond it is a big “maybe”. Evo hit rates are terrible, 151 hit rates are better, evo has better card values, 151 has arguably more hype and more print/abundance, 151 is more nostalgic and friendly to anyone re-entering the hobby. Both have specific things going for and against them. But over time both should be giants in terms of long term price.
I hoarded the shit out of CZ, and 151 I will admit. I like 151 the most, and CZ over Evolving Skies.

@@LudwigPig i think 151 sealed has a lot of potential, set to set wise, card to card. Different story right now. Hit rates alone support that. But who knows, this is a demand driven market so anything can occur

@@VF1-RJ singles fluctuate like crazy, can be manipulated, and over time if there’s high 10 rates will typically teeter out. Sealed product is the most long term consistent thing with making profit, especially on in demand sets. You don’t have to agree, but numbers don’t lie
