Amma Style Rasam
Recipe
Pepper - 1 & 1/2 tsp
Cumin - 1 & 1/2 tsp
Crush it
Green chilies - 2 nos
Curry leaves
Garlic - 5 cloves
Crush’m
Tamarind extract (lemon sized tamarind soaked in 2 cups water and extracted)
Tomato - 1 large sized
Coriander leaves
Squeeze with your hands and smash well
In a pot
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
Dried chillies - 3 nos
Curry leaves
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Pound Rasam masala
Fry it for a min in low heat
Add the tamarind tomato water + 1 or 2 cups water
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Bring it to boil. Once it starts foaming turn off the heat. Do not let it boil.
Enjoy with rice or drink it as soup 🤗

Hello mam, I’m Pakistani, here in our country we don’t eat rasam rice, we only eat dal chawal lobia chawal. In many interviews of Deepika she saying rasam rice, i search for the recipe and found your channel. I love to eat chiken shorba with boiled rice it’s a famous dish in Kashmir, i have kashmiri friends so i used to eat shorba chawal. Rasam is like same but without chiken. I always wanted to give it a try, yesterday i made rasam using your recipe, there was jo crurry leaves and mustard seeds at my home but i made with these two ingredients. Believe me it turned out soooo amazing so soothing i just love eating rasam rice.
