I have some doubts - as against mainstream historians - that metal armor could be so easily penetrated by arrows and other human-muscle-force driven weapons ( swords and spears) as depicted in most medieval movies.

According to some less-mainstream historians one of the main causes of death in plate armor was exhaustion rather than enemy weapons, and even chain armor was much stronger than generally depicted. ( It can be proven by real, physical experiments).
