Love this channel. If only Harley Davidson would pay for you guys & girls to get a fire suppression system for your efforts which promotes their brand as much as preserving history. Great work.
Normls , Harley Davidson doesn't even want to fix warranty drivability problems on new motorcycles. They simply don't care about customers old or new . Some of the Dealership take care of customers but it is the Dealer ship doing that ! not Corporate.
I agree with both of your commitments but I really appreciate the fact that the American and also the the foreign people keep the Harley Davidson history and love of motorcycles alive most people no and realize that corporate people and companies are all about the money!!!! Let’s make this posable and keep this historic and landmark alive! Peace and love to all !
Most people are looking at the beautiful knucklehead in the lime light, I'm looking at the beautiful flatties in the background. Great job, Matt, looking forward to the final wrap up.
i am on my wifes channel, but wanted to let you know how much i love your channel.we visited your dad many times when he was at the old dealership in mount vernon.he always took time to talk to a person.i enjoyed watching him ride a motorcycle up and down the isle.he was truly a legend in his own time.i might also add you are on your way to be one as well. from an old biker ty santee.
I built many Porsche 911 motors, and I experienced the same enthusiasm as you for each build. And yes to copious oil. It helps the rings to seat proper.
Thank you, Matt, for sharing this video with us. Showing the engine assembly, narration, and the tools is very good. I like to see a bike being built. The finished bike is very nice. You have learned so much.
I have an original 1937 bike that I need a motor for. I at least need to find a set of cases. In my opinion the most beautiful bike ever built! Looks like you have a good clean operation there. Good job!
Absolutely fantastic I bought tickets 🎟 hopefully a bit of luck 🍀 would love to win this 🇺🇸 Harley Davison 37 KnuckleHead such an amazing bike-build to watch the process, but such a beautiful bike as we’ve all seen the completed bike & what a forever bike to treasure 😍 ❤️ 👍🏻 🇺🇸 Wheels Through Time
I use a yellow microfiber table cloth thrown over the work bench, then I blow off all the componenets with compressed air before I lay them all out. I never had much luck with anything else like newspapers or lint free paper towels, due to papers tendancy to tear and break apart in the presence of liquids or assembly grease, which then helps it stick to everything. Big yellow washable lint free cloth, over the work bench...
Hey, guys my first visit to the museum was jaw dropping. Incredible! There is so much to see. You have to go back! Just amazing. Thank you Matt, the Brick house was very good 😁
Hi Matt please wear rubber gloves, Keep those chemicals off your skin and liver. The motorcycle world needs you around and healthy for a long time. Thanks Matt for all you do.
Do you ever try hanging your glasses on the back side of your head,,,, I find it easier to deal with,,,,, I know laying them down I always lose them,,,,
Your little town should give you a little money for the sprinklers. The fire code is making you do it, and you bring lots of visitors to town. They have hotel/motel tax money that they waste on silly things.
Too much Black for me. Love the Knuckles but too much black stuff. The only items that should be black are the frame & the cylinder jugs-that's it. Tires are a given.
1.There is a Biblical obligation for a father to teach his son a trade, your father more than fulfilled this obligation. 2. I really hope the guy who wins this is watching. 3, Watching this makes me think how depressing electric motorcycles will be.
It's crazy they send these UA-camrs with 50,000 subscribers around the country and pay for their Harley and pay for the room and shit,,,, but yet they'll do nothing for these people the thought process is fucking crazy their marketing crew must be millennials
Been a subscriber since this was your dads show. Getting real tired of the knucklehead channel though. I've got two. I prefer my UL in just about every regard. Way better engine. More reliable, easier to work on, and gets way more attention. Oh well, I'll keep poking my nose in every once in a while to see if you do anything new. Be well all.

Harley wants nothin to do with anyone beyond taking their $, MCs hav been loyal & kept them in business & harley dnt want anything to do with them

Most people are looking at the beautiful knucklehead in the lime light, I'm looking at the beautiful flatties in the background. Great job, Matt, looking forward to the final wrap up.
Great job Matt, having owned a '39 Knucklehead I still think it's the prettiest motor ever built by any other make or model.
Sooo nice! What a sweet motor and you know it's gonna run forever with the care and precision it was assembled with. Thanks Matt!
Love this channel. Oldtimer bike forever . Beautiful work - amaizing restoration classic bike. 👍

Beautiful, cant wait to see what exhaust you build for her!
Take your time with that engine Matt and build her with loving care. I’ll be down to get her in November!
Beautiful engine for sure!
O man that is going to look good sitting in my garage on the days I'm not out on it
That bare frame with the springer front end and hardtail make my heart scream BOBBER

Beautiful engine❤️it would be great if you could describe the people behind the design of some of the engines and its history👌
Awesome Matt thank you 😊 ROCK ON AMEN 🙏
Beautiful machine Matt.
Got my tickets and after watching this video I am going have to buy more!
Good luck, thanks for supporting WTT!!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 👍 🏴
Looks great Matt
Sweet build.
The bike is going to be amazing
Got my tickets, iam going too look so good on that bike ,when i win it . Fantastic video
Hopefully we get to see and hear the startup of this engine 🙏 😬
What alloys are used in the heads and cylinders? Is pitting from electrolysis ever a problem with the copper head gaskets?
Heads and cylinders are cast iron. New head gaskets each time it’s torn apart.
that's a brilliant idea those two tools your using to put piston into cylinder head
Love and Respect all the way from Pakistan 💚
Hey Matt do you go to bed with your sunglasses on ha ha ha 😂. Love the videos and got my tickets for the bike hope I win.
Wow .0045" seems like that'd be a tad on the loose side but what do I know, maybe thats preferable for a knucklehead motor
When do you race in Florida???
what kind of aftermarket barrels are you using? forged pistons?
These are made by VTwin and are quite nice.
When do you race in Florida
Freakin' awesome man!
Your Dad would be so proud of you.
Is there any reason why you don't install the rings before installing piston to the rod ?
Thanks for watching! The rod holds the piston for me and gives me better leverage. Lots of ways to do it, this is just how I was taught.
Show!! Matt !!!
The ring compressor tool is genius.
Anybody else watching with raffle tickets in hand thinking, "its cool Matt is working on my motor"?
awesome👍👍👍
I absolutely love these videos I just want to buy Matt a strap to keep those sunglasses on top of his head!!!
Awesome buddy…
You just removed your glasses lols 😎 never seen you do that,,,,You be getting serious,,,, ain't it just ain't it
Love love
Awesome
Talk about it, I’m fine . Doing it I’m totally lost 😮
How come some of these engines have magnetos and others a points cap like this one?
❤️
nice
Did I miss something? As far as I could see, no cylinder base gasket.
😎👍
Cool (very!)

Keep watching… make a video so it can be driven🔥

harley is owned by corporate yuppie bean counters they only care about the bonus money they could care less about someone that loves the old scooters
It's crazy they send these UA-camrs with 50,000 subscribers around the country and pay for their Harley and pay for the room and shit,,,, but yet they'll do nothing for these people the thought process is fucking crazy their marketing crew must be millennials
Ain't no quid in antiques bruh.
Wear some gloves because one day your hands will say no to all that oil and grease on them.
