Thank you for doing these videos, you are inspiring us to try some different decor. Also thank you for mentioning the Williamsburg book, we got one form the library and ended up buying one, it's a great resource! Plenty of things to try, especially when looking at the table displays. Looking very forward to more of your videos.
Beautiful!!! Thank you so much Kandye. You are so inspirational - sometimes a little creative push is all it takes to get into the spirit of the season.
You are just too darn cute! 😄 I always love watching your videos because you're just being you. Lol. Another gorgeous craft that I can't wait to try. Keep these coming! I've really been enjoying all of the tutorials.
So pretty! I love the decorations at colonial Williamsburg! We were lucky enough to have our honeymoon there in 1994. It was a wonderful trip. This takes me back.
Beautiful job! Brings back memories for me making Thanksgiving & Christmas arrangements using cedar, fir & holly arrangements! Thank you Mrs. Kandye! Thank you Mr Dale!
That's so beautiful. It reminds me of the ones the Ladies Garden club would put in the period houses where I grew up. It always smelled like Christmas !
Absolutely gorgeous!! Yes, I too felt intimidated by these crafts. By watching you and your simple directions I now feel confident I can make these!! Thank you so much!! So cost effective as well! 😀
What a lovely, easy craft. I don't have any greenery in our yard except for palm trees, so I'd opt for fake greenery, but I may just give this one a try. Thanks for sharing this with us today.
We go every year from North Carolina to CW. It’s only a 3 hour drive for us and it’s so gorgeous there. I love how the birds eat the fresh fruit on the arrangements there. ❤️
So beautiful thanks so much! We have so many trees bushes sea grasses Holly's boxwood mountain flame blue spruce white pines skip laurel I think I'm going to make this. So simple great idea 👍😊
Looks beautiful. You could even have that in a shallow tray on the table and keep a little water in there. It would last a real long time. Thank you for another awesome episode Kandye 😊
Thank you Kandye for the Christmas tutorial from the Williamsburg book. Yes, I've been to Colonial Williamsburg at Christmas time, it is beautiful, especially if you get a light snow fall..the wreaths on the doors and windows are amazing...along with the pine garlands and candles in the window's. Do take a class or two on decorating, make and takes, you will enjoy..plus the evenings performances of dancing and Christmas music do give you that period feel..Happy Christmas from Arizona...p.s. Been to Williamsburg five times throughout the year and Christmas and Fall are the best!! 🎄🍁
The greenry decorations are absolutely lovely Candy!! It takes me back to my years in lower and middle school when they would decorate for Christmas with all their Greenery. There would be candles lit all around and we would sing songs of the season. Such memorable times!! You have so much talent in so many things. Colonial times is my favorite time period. I often wish I could live like that for a Time to get the experience of the past.
Thank you Kandye for the great craft. This would also be a beautiful centerpiece. You could probably even carve out the top of the oranges and put a taper candle in them. I have not been to CW since I was a child. I would love to go back! You are doing a great job Dale!
@@cabincrafts2239 thank you again for holding the package I dropped off for Ron and Justine the other week. It was lovely to meet you and see your shop in person.
Great video Kandye...Colonial Williamsburg is one of my favorite places in the world!!!! By the way...that stuff you didn't know what it was is called Forsythia (for-with-e-ahh). It's a bush that turns yellow . Thanks & Merry Christmas! Robin
Hey Robin! Thanks for watching! It's not forsythia, I know what that is. I've been told it's a yew bush. It is wvergreen all year. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Wow that is so beautiful! Most of our greenery is all brown or on the ground! I would have loved to make a fresh hanging like that!❤I will have to price greens at the flower shop!
@@cabincrafts2239 The pines that I did a have access to got the Pine Wilt Virus and are dead or dying. We do have some evergreen bushes but they are to small to gather greenery from them yet. I might try artificial greenery. I was going to check it out this weekend. I really do love they idea of fresh greenery in the house. As a child my parents had evergreen boughs on the fire place mantel. The house would smell of Christmas.
This is AMAZING!!! I must try this and again appreciate Kandy's breakdown!! My mom just spent $60 on something almost the exact same (smaller) from our local florist for a Christmas centerpiece!?! I could have made it like this and Kandy's looks way better!!!
These wreathes to buy them outright in Williamsburg are quite pricey, Kandye. So, to show how easily you can make one for a whole lot less is terrific. Dried pomegranates are a popular item to put on them, too. Mini pineapples as well. The ones Ive seen in Williamsburg are decorated as to what an establishment might sell. I've seen Colonial playing cards, pipes, toys, etc as part of the Wmsburg wreathes. So, you can do whatever your imagination allows you to. God bless you for the sharing of your gift of crafting. Sue 😊❤
This absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to try one. I love the idea of a wreath making party! How often would you need to soak the foam if it is hanging outside - spray with water or soak in pan?
How entertaining you are! Were you born under the sign of Gemini? I love this project and look forward to your videos! Blessings. I think the unidentified evergreen sprigs is a type of yew.
