You are providing an excellent example of how to declutter a house full of “stuff”. You’re getting it done but not overwhelming yourself ❣️❤️
Jaime, I think you should keep the fish bowl going even after Christmas. You can do a task a day (even if you film more in one day). It is fun to watch. You can break things up like clean out a drawer or a closet, rather than a whole room. You can have something to post every day and string them together when you want to post a series. 🙂
Oh the fishbowl is definitely going to continue! It’s helping me so much and is way more fun to film and watch!
I agree!
Jamie, you're going to begin 2025 in a better, lighter place (figuratively & emotionally, mentally)! Congratulations on sticking with a big job!
Great Job Jamie! 1 - Many cultures consider the types of things you found in that box to contain bad energy even if you didn't "consciously" remember they were there. You've rid you're life of possible bad energy. 2 - You got a considerable amount of items physically out of your house & life. Yay you!
I feel the impact of the bad energy for sure, even unconsciously. For me it manifests as anxiety without a known cause - but I have been considerably more calm, peaceful, and just plain happy once all this stuff started leaving the house!
Out of all decluttering, going through paperwork is the worst for me. You did a great job!!!
This proves that sometimes we just need a bit of time and distance from a thing to realise that we don't need it any more. And yeah definitely donate the stuff as you go or it will drive you crazy. It's still satisfying for us to see as a viewer.
I'm not sure why but it made me smile seeing your ever faithful robot vacuum still working away at the end of the video there.
Haha Francie (the name my son gave to the vacuum) is a hard working lady! 🤣
Bonus points for shredding immediately and extra credit for taking your donations to the center. Great job! I'm glad you could rid yourself of that large box and find the treasure handwritten by your grandmother. Wins all around. This is such a good series! Take care, Linda 🦋
Thank you for completing the task and showing the shredding. I look forward to seeing these everyday and seeing what you will get next!
I’d love to hear at the end of vlogmas if you’ve learnt anything in particular or tips about decluttering and keeping spaces clutter free in the future
Good for you doing this decluttering... Multiple passes over time will definitely have you feeling lighter and so much more at home.
Great job!
Hi,new subscriber here,I love your explanations but I ESPECIALLY LOVE the complete follow through, like putting things away and even doing the shredding right away!👏 I watch some other channels and I think they’re just shuffling stuff around because I see it all still sitting around in the next couple of videos. I am the biggest procrastinator,so I need the push and motivation to complete the task!😵💫😖
I’ve definitely been guilty of just shuffling things! But as I do these 24 small areas, I’ve made a vow to myself not to let the finished ones get cluttered back up once I do some other area. The only place I’m allowing to become a dumping ground is the office because that will likely be the next series!
Anybody else find the fast-motion shredding to be hypnotically satisfying?
😂 me!
Papers be gone! One of the most challenging things for me to declutter. You did good!
I had a similar experience when I recently was organizing. I opened a box that I knew had keepsakes in it, but I didn't know what they were. It was paw prints from my deceased kitties and a dvd of my great-grandma baking (she passed in the early 2000s). I sat and sobbed for like 30 minutes remembering my fur babies. My first 2 cats I got as an adult died within 2 months of each other when my son was a baby. He's 5 now. I also had a kitten that I had to put down in 2010 because she was terminally ill. I still can't handle her items without crying. Now I know that this particular box is the "don't open it unless you need a REALLY good sob" box. Those special furry friends sure leave paw prints on our hearts. I've come to realize there will never be another Oscar (my favorite and first cat as an adult). Every cat I've had since him can't measure up, through no fault of their own. He was just the best.
Ugh it’s just the worst! I miss my Lucy and Oliver every single day. I love my cats dearly of course but those cats were my babies before I had human babies. It just hits different. 🩵
Well done!
Im loving this vlogmas! I even attacked my office space this weekend with encouragement from your videos. I decluttered about 200 items (craft stuff, office stuff, magazines, party stuff) So thank you!!! 🎉🎉
Woohoo!!! That’s fantastic! 🎉
the addiction to watching your progress is real. You're slowly chipping away at it. the reveal at the end of the the season is going to be HUGE. i cannot wait! also, Great work! you're inspiring me to do the same with old paperwork and boxes that I've stored for far too long
I’m definitely going to do another whole house walk through at the end! The progress has been better than I even expected to be honest!
I absolutely hate stepping on emotional land mines as I clean and declutter. If it’s super important I scan into some deep dark computer folder which will hopefully never again be stumbled upon by me. I feel your pain especially with legal stuff that you feel you must keep so as to counter any future “what if” gotchas. Glad you got a load off figuratively and literally. Blessings from Texas!
Way to go Jamie 🥰 sucks to have to deal with those bad or sad memories but now it’s shredded & GONE FOREVER👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That must be such a relief! Great job!
Going through paper mountains is so annoying 😡. Good job 👏
Awesome job! Love when it leaves the house(and car) for good!
I love that that bad energy is out of your house now!
Awesome start to the week! ❤
Loving the series!
I love to see the place slowly transform
Love seeing progress and follow through-so satisfying! 👏👍😍
Great job🎉❤
You did a great job Jamie ! 💪🏻
Jamie, great job!! Past is gone. Woohoo
Jamie, I am so grateful to Beth for sending me over your way. Your videos are always just the right length and always full of great content. Love it.
I’m so grateful for Beth too! 🩵
I was like oh she is shredding those bad memories too oh yes she is lol I love you drove those donations off how freeing that day must of felt after. I don't want this series to send lol A year ago I was looking for something important like our deed to our house or something then realized I had paper crap spread 3 different spots so tackled all papers that day into 1 banker box taxes by year have their own folder etc. Was proud I made a system which is still working today but took me like 15 years to figure this out lol
I feel soooo good after this one. Shredding bad memories and taking a whole car load to the donation center was a really good day! I feel like I tried to set up a system for paper organizing as a young adult but it definitely didn’t carry into married with children life. Or obviously job transitions! I’m totally ready now to set up a new system. 🩵
Good job🎉❤
Okay okay, message recieved! I'll start going through my paper clutter tower. Geesh, get off my back!
😊 As always, well done Bestie!
@@ShyPixieGirl don’t blame me, blame that fishbowl! It was a real b*tch giving me paper two days in a row 😅
Just made the fish bowl with small areas I need to declutter. It seems counter intuitive two weeks before Christmas but I can see the difference it is making even recovering small areas in your home.
Two more listings and a sale - good karma, Jamie! I'm decluttering alongside you!
Woo hoo!
i'm so impressed that you cleaned up the spilled shreds! i might have left them because I "was done."
It’s only because I love vacuuming so much! It’s my favorite “chore” and the little bits on the carpet trigger something uncontrollable inside me 😆
I am behind of course but I am going to go home today and make my own fish bowl with quick declutter/cleaning missions :)
Yay!!
AWESOME WORK Jamie I'm a new SUBSCRIBER I ❤ how your so down to earth 🌎
Thank you so much!
Go Jamie!
Hi Jamie! I have been cheering you in silence. Keep up the awesome work 😊. Love from azores
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
I'm sorry it brought up bad memories... but it's out of your life now! YAY for that!
I love the robot vac just creeping in the background of the last shot. Great work so far!
😂 I didn’t even notice that lol!
I was going to say the same thing lmao. I feel like we see it at least once in each video...just living it's life...minding it's business😄
@@JacquelineDenny-b9o She’s a hard worker! 😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good job getting the donations out of the house
So freeing
It really is, like a weight off my shoulders
That had to feel great! I love shredding paper but my shredder overheats too and the waiting for it to restart drives me crazy! 🤦🏻♀️
I was surprised mine lasted as long as it did!
I have to walk away & start other chores to keep my blood pressure down!
I LOVE THIS SERIES
Thank you so much!
That was a massive box! This must be like weight of your shoulder.
It really is! That box was really annoying and now it’s gone! Woo!
Wow you decluttered a lot. Good job! I have family mementos to still go through and declutter (a lot of that is paper stuff). I did quite a bit a few months ago and I need to get back on that project. Maybe in January...
I feel like a fresh start in January is the perfect time for a big paper decluttering!
When i had a cat i used paper shredder as cat litter. Especially the letters & court documents from my divorce. Great feeling when these were shredded & shit upon by said cat.
Omg that is savage and I love it!! I should have had my cats crap on those court papers!! 😂😂
Loving these videos
Thank you!

Hi Beth,love your channel!👍
I have a cat named Lucy, and she happens to be 19, too :) ❤
Awww how sweet! I hope she’s still doing well!
You will not guilt me into decluttering paperwork. My "I pretend it doesn't exist" category in my mostly decluttered home - as in I've done multiple tours since I've started spring of 2023, paper I haven't touched...
It will feel so good when it’s gone! 😁
You could have stacked the boxes nicely so it looks like an enormous difference- and I am really happy you didn’t! 💜
Thanks Jamie, this is the motivation I urgently need atm.
"needs to be photocopied" LOLOLOL
Right?!?!?! 🤣 I guarantee those things absolutely did NOT need to be photocopied. Ever 💀
@ 🤣🤣🤣
The equivalent to taking screenshots on your mobile phone now 😂
I need to take a car load to donate too... maybe I'll do that later!
It feels great when it’s done!
Remember - you kept things because that was the best you could do at the time. Need compassion for all of our prior selves.
Very true and thank you for that reminder.
Several years ago my mom sold her home and started going through papers. She probably had 40 years of tax returns etc. Everything was filed away nice and neat. I bought her a bigger shredder because her smaller one was going to explode lol. One day she's going through papers and says "here's my marriage license with your dad" She reads off a date of August 1965. I was born March 1965. I was in my 40s when I found out I was actually in attendance at my parents wedding lol. They divorced when I was 7 so an anniversary date never came up.
Omg! 😆 that’s a great story!
Do you believe "papers" carry bad mojo? Or is it only when you READ them??
I feel the bad mojo from them just existing, but more in a way of anxiety knowing they’re piled up and disorganized.
