My Jack passed two summers ago at 17 years old. He was practically a twin to your Jack. Jack's are very empathic to people not feeling well and ours would always curl up next to my wife or me when we were sick. We are old now and haven't replaced Pippin, our Jack. We miss him and haven't the heart to get another. I am amazed that Jack's are not know as one of the most intelligent and problem solving canines. I believe it's their occasional stubborn temperament. When they make up their mind there's little chance of making them budge. I learned the first year not to interrupt nap time. God bless you and your family.
17 years - what a wonderful age - love his name. Yes they do have the occasional stubbornness but such loyal loving dogs. We had a foxy jack russell crossed with a Stafford bull terrier before Angus. He died at 14 with heart issues and it was two years before we started to feel ready again - so glad we got Angus. Thoughts and best wishes to you 🐶
@@outandaboutwithleejeffangus Seeing your Jack is like looking at mine. He was the shorter stockier Irish Jack, not the taller small paws Parsons Jack. There is definite difference between the two. That mixed Jack must have been interesting. Most people wouldn't believe that we used to spell words like "outside" because Pippin knew what many words meant. Ofcourse he could not spell but he knew what those letter meant. The Irish Jack's are busy but are patient and observant. Pippin had different barks and growls that we understood. When he was a pup that would fit on palm of your hand he would watch airplanes pass. How many dogs have that kind of awareness? It amazed my wife and me also. My wife grew up on a farm and my uncle kept over one hundred mostly quarter horse so we know animals. They are not just things to us. My grandparents first mode of transportation was horses. The world we live in now didn't exist a hundred years ago or the previous ten thousand years. We are from Tennessee so grew up doing what our family did 150 years ago and my family has been in Tennessee much longer. It's become a very strange world. I'm not sleepy so forgive my chattyness. Lifelong insomnia. Just out of curiosity what part of the country are you from? I won't pester you so I'll end my narative here. A pleasure talking to you. Take care of that Jack.
Oh other dog didn’t look anything like a jack russell - very quiet dog. Angus has a stubborn streak sometimes- I make him wait at the gate when my husband goes to work and when I tell him it’s time to move - he’s looks around for a bit before moving - in my own sweet time mum he says. I love him very much. We live in nsw Australia on a five acre block of land where Angus loves to run around and chase the sheep and bark at the cars. How lovely to chat to you from Tennessee 🐶
@@outandaboutwithleejeffangus My wife just watched you and Angus. Lots of oos and ahhss. One Jack in our community lived to 29. I've had some wonderful conversations we Australians. I watch Sky News Australia because they are very informative about the United States and Ofcourse Australia. I'm fairly well informed about Australia now. Americans and Australians have family roots as do Canadians. My family almost moved to Australia in the 1960s. Your government was making offerings to immigrant. I was all for it. One of my favorite shows then was Skippy the kangaroo. The distance away from family was the problem.
@@rickhale4348 29 years wow- what a great age - not heard of that before. Skippy the kangaroo - much enjoyed when I was young. Family is most important - very lucky to live in this beautiful country 🐶
Hey Lee xx I chuckled and laughed knowingly as Angus mirrors my boy Sy in loving cuddling up close ( and isn't it utterly the best feeling in the world) and that every sofa and bed belongs to them. I laughed out loud resting his lil face on the keyboard as where there is sun they will get into it. I let out the biggest aw at you both at the end. Much love from me and Sy xxx
So beautiful my 6 months jack Russell puppy Zak is 7 months now and he is the same as Angus he is cuddly and love being around me these dogs are so loving keep bringing your videos love watching Angus thanks Sandra 🌹
How old is Angus I have jack russell also, and he is not calm like angus... My dog is 9 months almost. Please check my dog videos and see his reactions. He is so energetic. Sometimes too much..
I think Angus is just as hypo as your jack russell. In this video I have shown all his tired times but if u look at some of my other videos you will see him go. In this video it shows him from 5 months of age to 18 months old. He loves to play with a plastic bottle just like your jack and does the zoomies at the beach. He is the most uncontrollable when he sees another dog and sometimes people. From one crazy jack russell dog to another 🐶We had him desexed at 34 weeks old and that slowed him down slightly.
Lots of treats works well to make them behave - we have always taken him to the beach so he just loves the water - treats, lead , firm hand which he gets from my husband and patience
@@outandaboutwithleejeffangus but wouldn't they be running around?? What do they do inside?? How long you keep them inside? Do they sit still watching TV??
Angus spends most of his time following me inside and out, he watches what I do a lot and when we r watching tv he is on my knee or sleeping on the floor
What toys do you use to entertain your dogs? And how much exercise do you get up too with them??? How do you get them to be so still in inside the house??
I by stuffed toys from the op shop for him to chew on, we play tug of war, give them cardboard like old egg cartons to chew on, carrots in a treat ball cut up, lots of walks as they are so energetic a couple of times a day
@@outandaboutwithleejeffangus carrot do they love carrot?? I put bone in it. Will try the carton see if it works maybe egg carton and treat in a ball make it harder
Well he does sleep a lot haha, but he loves his daily walk, especially when I take him to the beach, loves to bark at the cats going buy and chewing on his bone - very busy boyo ❤️🐶
