Instead of Removing wire if you switch off condenser fan high pressure going increase then safety switch work perfectly..in same way if you can close high pressure line value then you get low pressure in that way u can check in real time your low pressure switch work perfectly.. this is how we do ..

At 55psi the circuit will closed and at 30 psi the circuit will open to protect the compressor, due to the low pressure.

All the control circuit is 240V in my AC unit. I'd certainly be taking more care with those connectors an that scenario as they're going to bite a compared to a 24V control circuit.

What switches are you using andd where are you getting them?
The switch pressure cut in and cut out rating depends on the refrigerant
Refrigeration or hvac supply house or shops or on the internet
In the case of , you come across a bad low pressure switch and don’t have any low pressure switches on hand ,but the unit needs to go up. How do you jump out the switch ? until you go and get a switch
Shunt or splice together the 2 wires leaving the switch

The TXV creates a controlled pressure difference between the high and low side of your refrigeration system as refrigerant flows through it, when the TXV is restricted that pressure drop becomes uncontrollable thus starving your low side/evaporator of refrigerant Symptoms is low back pressures, most times high head pressure, high suction line temperatures/ super heat, high supply air temperature, poor cooling. Solution replace the valve

The pressure switches are running through the coil right? It’s a 24v - 240v switch right? Please explain how you hooked up the wiring for the switch. How does it interrupt the contractor?

The easiest way would be to use the oil ports or connecting oil equalizer lines to drain the oils and then refill it through the oil or suction service ports.

Do you know how trane 2 stage packagw unit compressor lockout works ? Apparently I had low pressure got power going in and out however high pressure switch and discharge line snap disk switch didn't have power during compressor lock out.

I have the same system in my building. So one of my compressor has water inside I had a technician came over telling me that we need to replace a compressor when they come with the new . They told me the heat exchanger has internal leak in there. I just want to know if that’s true

Transformer lower the incoming line voltage to control voltage 460/208/120 volts to 24 volts, capacitor is used on single pashas motors/ compressors to increase starting and running power
How do you know if the pressure sensor is broken or working?
They are typically normally closed switches, when system pressure is good, and opened if faulty or if system has a problem
@@D2DNYAC Under normal circumstances, is there electricity at one corner or both corners?
I just checked for continuity in both my switches. One of them showing there is continuity and the other one showing 400 ohms of resistance. What does that mean? I’m also not getting 24V at the side legs of the contractor, but I am getting the 24V coming from the thermostat.
Replace the switch with the 400 ohs of resistance I would start there!

Nothing this means the switch will automatically reset once the pressures come down

Sure, however that’s dangerous to anyone who operates this system and to the system it self, so please don’t
@@D2DNYAC why would it be dangerous to one that operates...are there system s that don't have pressure switchs
Because if your system does pull a high head pressure or a very low suction pressure the system wont shut off and it will ruin your compressor. Only bypass it if its temporary and you are coming back to fix it later. Dont leave it bypassed.
It’s not dangerous to one that operates however if you bypass the high pressure switch you can definitely ruin your compressor bypassing the low pressure switch isn’t too bad however you can still ruin your compressor if the system freezes up and slug liquid refrigerant back to compressor. If you must only do it during troubleshooting or in an emergency if the switch or switches is faulty and system pressures are okay. And return and remedy ASAP.
I have a code 35 error which means a low pressure switch or sensor error. My system doesn’t have a leak though. Is there a way to bypass this faulty switch or sensor?

My compressor won't run, won't make a noise. wondering about pressure switches. But, condenser fan does run, thus contactor working. If my logic is right, per your video, my pressure switches must be ok. worth noting I have a defrost board could that matter. thanks.
@Tserevenad if you have a residential split system and the fan on top of the outdoor unit spins, and compressor doesn’t run it seems like your compressor is bad!
In this case for 1PH units a hard start kit my help!
@@D2DNYAC yes I have a stains you describe. I used my ohmmeter to check coil winding. Shorts to ground and a stuck overload switch. Everything perfect. Can compressor be bad if electrical tests are good. Doesn’t blow fuses either. Also cap and contractor measure/working properly. I am thinking something going on with defrost board and sensor but not clear on why it would make compressor not run. Thanks for your thoughts.
Then if this is the case typically the fan and compressor shares the same contactor the compressor 1PH compressor is seized, try using a hard start kit /capacitor sometimes this will get compressor going, you can also send me a picture of your ac unit and wiring diagram on (what’s app) so I can better assist!

Don’t recommend this unless you are troubleshooting!
Don’t recommend unless troubleshooting , however you can bypass by cutting both wires connected to the switch, then strip and connect both wire going back into the controls together
But the pressure switch has three wires... 😭

What is the purpose of contactor sir?
@ abet lakwatsero It is an electronic switch which is controlled by your thermostat , the thermostat passed low or controlled voltage usually 24V to the contactor coil then the switching section of contactor then pass high voltage to the load compressors and fan motors to put it simply, it can get more complex

Hello I'm having problems with a stand up hvac. I didn't open the door on the back for the fans for the condenser to blow out and it shut the unit down. The reading are at 100psi on the blue side of my gauge.Is there any way to get the presure back down so the hbac can come back on.

You will need to know what refrigerant system uses and you can purchase a swivel tee as well and follow my method
Sir i have some issue i instaled compresor nd i try to charge freon but compresor are trip by low pressor switch plss tell me some way to charge freon
What you should do is place the Freon tank in a bucket of hot water or use a heat gun/ blower to warm up the tank this will allow charging while compressor is off best practice.

My A/C works but the won't switch over to blow out heat? What could be the issue? We had someone come change out our pressure switch and The heater went out... any tips or advice you can give me ? I'd appreciate it
In the case of a heat pump it’s either the thermostat configuration/wiring or a bad reversing valve in the case of other heating systems type pressure switch on AC would have no impact on heating
