I love this show, especially Harry the Lizard. It reminds me of when I was serving in the US Army stationed on a Marine Camp in Okinawa. We lived Marine Corps style, therefore there was no air conditioning in the building and many of the screens in the windows were missing. So that’s how my new roommate arrived which was a large gecko the size of Harry. This gecko ran around in my room all the time and made a clicking noise. I was told to be thankful because he would eat the bugs and roaches. What a memory.
Clicking sounds from a large gecko. If the gecko was white or pale blue with spots that's 100% a tokay. Not the friendliest of species but a very effective pest repellant.
I had a small lizard that lived in the room when I was stationed in Bahrein in the late 60s, they do keep the bugs out, we had ants there that were nearly an inch long.
Haha, love it! You know, my wife and I are pretty proud that we have never binge watched anything, BUT, on the recommendation of many friends, we thought we’d give DIP a try. You guessed it, yes, we did indeed watch all 10 seasons plus the Xmas show over the course of around 3 months; no regrets, although we did miss the various “leavers”. Looking forward to 2022’s season; happy new year to all involved! 🎥🍾❤️
Showing this to older viewers in my family has destroyed their faith in me....for years they thought Harry was a genuine lizard....highly trained...I ask you !!!
Just stumbled across this video, and it’s broken my little heart. I imagined a lizard wrangler, and Harry being a number of similar tame beasties. Illusion shattered. Ah well, al least no animals were harmed in the making of… humans yes ok… animals no. Thanks for sharing.
I'm shocked. I totally believed Harry was a trained lizard. But having watched this, surely it would be quicker to train a real lizard than to go through all the cgi rigmarole?
My dreams are dashed ! I honestly thought someone had spent years training a lizard to do things on command ..... boy do I feel dumb ..... and kinda gutted he doesn't exist and isn't living a Hollywood lifestyle on a tropical island.
I'm still watching the old shows in the USA on PBS on Saturday night with the series Vera. I get home from work around 8:00 pm & rush in the house to watch both shows. I love a good mystery.
I used to watch it when it was on Netflix. But they are on PBS now? Do I have to have any sort of account to watch them or can I just pop on over and view them?
Just love love this series, all excellent actors that have taken the role of chief have been amazing all with their own stories and quirks and love issues,need someone to equal Chris Marshall and Ralph Little,plus amazing actors supporting the continuation of this series are great
I'm SO disillusioned! I really thought Harry was a trained stunt lizard. I worked for a company who provided trained animals for movies and TV. As far as I know, they still do. You're depriving them of their living!☺
Well, SOMEbody needs to find and train a Harry. They can be smarter than one might think. My son's lizard learned how to chase cars by watching a weiner dog across the street.

It will always be Richard's lizard to me, lol. He nurtured it, tried experiments to see which food he liked and talked to him in his daily life.
