You are incorrect about Don Warrington being the only one appearing in all 10 series. Elizabeth Bourgine who plays Catherine Bordey has also been in all of the series, her first appearance was in Season 1, Episode2.

This series takes place in an imaginary British island of Caribbean (before French). I think it's not correct to talk quite only about white actors.
Sara Martins was born in Portugal from a Cape Verdean father and à French mother, in 1977. She speaks Portuguese, French and English, but her life and her career are in France, principally in TV.
She learned classic dance.
Daniel John-Jules was born in 1960 in London. He is British from Dominican parents, themselves Ganaian origined.

I was sad when Ben Miller (Richard Poole) died off the show and reluctantly forced myself to watch after Kris Marshall came aboard, but he won me over. I cried when he left. It’s taken me a while to start watching again. Everyone has been excellent and I do love this show but Kris Marshall is my favorite.

yes I was the same, but I liked Ardal too eventually, it was hard to not see him as the previous roles of the priest in Father Ted and the super hero in another show I forget the name though. But I really did like Chris and have only watched two episode with Ralf.

For me its still Richard. He had more depth and Charisma. I found Humphrey to harmlessly nice and bland. Never bought the "brilliantnes" from him. So different are the tastes :)

I was pleased to see Ralf Little join the cast, but the writing for the last season was the weakest in the series, and sadly believe the show has run its course.

Yeah I saw that episode. Looks like Doc Martin is not moving to London after all and they will be doing a Christmas special. I would love to see another series of Doc Martin.

It did take me a little while to get comfortable with the character of Raif Little but then again that was likely the point of his character. All the leads have been very good but there was something just a little more special about Humphrey that was captured perfectly by Kris Marshall. As was also seen in Sandition he has a gift for playing awkward good men.

Fantastic show! Even tho' I live on the east coast of Australia where weather, beaches and ocean are similar, every episode still feels like a mini-holiday! And the opening music always makes me happy!! All the characters have added something special and delightful but if I have a favourite, it would be Sgt Naomi Thomas played by Shantol Jackson!! My goodness-what a beautiful smile!! It's a lovely show and my wife and I enjoy it very much. It's one of those shows you hope goes on forever.

😢I will watch beyond death in Paradise and whatever Detective Poole is in, these two along with Duwayne, Sarah and Jamal, I will watch whatever Chris! Marshall is in as well Detective Poole needs to be resurrected. My loves him and seem get I'm with the other three, whereas I live the Series ❤😅and I miss them. Sarah is my favorite character and season 1,2,3 and 4 are the best ones would live to see the Inspector do more in police work, he's is an excellent actor. Love you all.
