I'm not talking about the Higgs Boson, the answer to particle physics' long-standing question. No, i'm talking about The God Particle plugin from Cradle, the new mix buss processor from Jaycen Joshua, 15 time Grammy Winning legend. It's pretty good, and i'm not being paid to say that. I was given the plugin but otherwise this is an account of how it's changed everything that's on my mix buss...

This plugin is great. Period. But what do I know, I’ve only been mixing since the late 70’s

Well it really has stuck on every mix since! I guess I was just preferring the heavy saturation on that one, but I’ve been true to my word.
It is funny though.

Just to add, I’ve found you really get meat results from god particle if it’s on all the time and you mix into it, otherwise you can set your mix up not to work together and try and mask it with buss processing
The sidechain feature is for stem mastering. They say that sidechained god particles on separate stem (buses) bounces would 100% null vs the stereo mix. That's a killer feature.
Did you like the difference it made? Would you get this or use something else?
Adam ... that plugin is STELLAR. And yeah, it'll definitely change a few of the steps I take to get to the level of production/mastering I'm after. Peace, man!! 🙂✌🧡
P.S. I still want a plain old "Mix" knob. Those are magical for me.
Awesome! In my mind, the percent knob is the wet/dry, even if that’s not the exact function - 100 percent seems to be really good to mix into

It's great. Imaging if Cradle were tangentially related to GHD. A terrible compressor but it gave Adam lovely wavy hair.
That’s funny because it’s close! I think they’re tangentially related to GGD, so they make your hair stand on end!

I have the SSL bus compressor 2 would this be like the same thing or could I use them together
This is definitely not the same, you could use them together if you like but I’ve found my best results are from ditching the SSL and mostly using the god particle

yo man so if was to send it to mastering would u disable the limiter or would you keep limiter on and trim output
disable the limiter fam so the mastering engineer still has the headroom to work

Its candy for the preset generation. No good if you want to actually learn the craft, have control or (heaven forbid) create your own sound. I passed on this after trying it though it does sound great for a quick f&*k.
It's not a learning tool, nor is it to "create your own sound". If you can't mix into it or make your own sound at the track/buss stage then you've got problems this won't fix. However, it's replaced my old go-to master buss signal chain because it does something I had been working towards for 20 years but better - and if you're turning your nose up at that because "it's for the preset generation" then I can't help you, and this might be why the younger generation are leaving a lot of older producers in the dust.
