I love this! You show the strength it takes to live a normal life with a chronic illness. People take feeling well for granted.
I travel all over the world, I love it and it’s totally worth it but sometimes I get so drained. I rest for weeks after I fly home.

Thank you so much for posting this! I have missed out on so much for either fear of getting sick or just being sick. I haven’t gotten to go to Busch Gardens in YEARS and it’s my favorite theme park (Virginia girl here). I had no idea they had any accommodations like that so that’s kind of a game changer now. I do have a hard time asking for help or accommodations and I have yet to do a wheelchair even when I’ve needed it because I just know I’ll get all the looks and comments seeing as I don’t “look” like I need it. Also- its so hard to not have the yummy food on vacation 😭 even though you know you’ll feel worse if you eat it. Especially at Busch Gardens because their food is amazing haha!
I’ve got IBSd (Irritable Bowel Syndrome Diarrhea predominant) & on my way back to FL from NC I stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch & really didn’t make it to the bathroom to do number 2...I had to use the Men’s Room (there was a huge line for the Women’s Room as usual) their Men’s Room was kind of out of order! To make a long story short I’m glad I brought a change of clothing & underwear!

my biggest goal in life is to travel the world, an for a while i thought that wasnt possible due to my ulcerative colitis and not being able to leave the house! but im about to get my surgery in four day and im hoping that it will help my dream of traveling

Linzlewsions: me too! I’m an overweight 67 yo with peripheral neuropathy in both feet, both of which are broken. No one can see the breaks. Just the fat.
im the same i just did a trip to la an useing disability lines an all i got alot of looks but i new for my own health i was doing the right thing

I have motion sickness from time to time. Sometimes it hits me on flights so I have to be prepared!

I have a chronic illness and they gave me Promethazine suppositories. They burn like a ghost peppers up my booty. I gotta take the tablets.

Can I ask what meds are you on for crohns , I’ve recently come of methotrexate it’s was horrific but I gave it ago the sickness was I even worse than what I get anyway with crohns ondanstron wasn’t helping and headaches and it was causing even more joint pain ,my next move now is humira , travelling is a real issue for me I haven’t a stoma but truly wish I have one now had major bowel surgery in past and just plodding along with everything that it effects now , anyway enjoy you vacation x
I'm on Humira! It seems to be helping with my small bowel Crohns, just not my colon! Hopefully you can find something soon to help you!!
