I think,the knight rider program was done in the 1980”s?This program was done in;1969-1970.So….way before The knight rider show was ever on.😊Gabriel Drake was also,Vladek Sheybal”s pupil.He trained in acting,also.This is what I’ve heard of in an interview,a few year’s ago.I thought this was interesting 🤨 to hear about!😊
I loved watching this show then ads I fo now. But one thing I never understood is how the plane reconnected with the sub part of SkyDiver? And how it was rearmed when out to sea?
Just noticed that the radar screen at SHADO HQ shows a map of Japan in the scene at around 25:16 mark. Don't know if this specific to this particular edit, or was part of the original broadcast version. It's been a long time since I first saw the TV series (in Fresno, CA) -- and since it was before home videotape was common, I've no recording to reference and all I can go by is a memory from a half century ago. I don't recall if there was any map detail on the radar screen.
@@FandersonUfo Hrm.. interesting. I wonder if it had something to do with potential for merchandising (i.e. more specifically licensing deals for merchandise) ? If I'm not mistaken a fair amount of related Gerry Anderson related merchandise was produced in Japan. Perhaps inserting the map of Japan (even for a brief moment) might've been done to try to make the series more marketable in Japan?
@@nuk1964 - I always thought it was an accident on the day of filming - some surplus radar set no one checked out thoroughly before it was filmed - this was broadcast in at best 525 lines of standard resolution back then - it's only visible for a second and the production team hoped no one would notice I'm sure - 🛸✨
If you want to know why a movie was made by recutting episodes for a theatrical release, countries like Italy didn’t have colored TVs yet so a theatrical recut gave people a chance to see it in color. That’s one reason I know why this was made.
