It was dumb luck that Aziraphale even tried to do a proper miracle beforehand. Else they wouldn't have realized that their miracles aren't working until it was too late. And then there would have been lots of paperwork...
Crowley's shaking hands say more than it seems, even though as a demon he never used weapons I don't think he would have been so scared if there was another person... he's really scared to hit Aziraphale, he doesn't trust of his aim and of himself. I love these moments, Crowley cares so much about his angel that he can't help but support him in his ideas of him (the perfect boyfriend) but is afraid of hurting him. Please give us the third season, we still need them ❤
fr the cinematography of this scene really brings it together so well 😫 the rising in intensity as the camera goes from slightly wobbly to promote a mild awkwardness, to full-on shaking as the stakes are raised and both Aziraphale and Crowley become genuinely frightened. Cant get over how marvellously the overall choreography of this scene was executed 😿💕

It's hilarious to see how flustered and awkward poor Aziraphale is, and then it genuinely gets tense when their miracles get blocked and they have to actually perform the trick. You can see how worried they both are (Crowley's hands shaking and Aziraphale's looksof forced-calm panic). I hope we get more scenes like this in Season 3!

The way they just hiss to each other about miracles not working made me laugh but you can hear the underlying panic. And Crowleys nerves worried that he might actually hurt (or worse discorporate) his angel is as much sweet as it is gut wrenching.

I think that they intended to just shoot the gun at Azi regardless since they could perform a miracle and make it a 'miraculous' near miss. That was the importance of Azi bringing up that he allows himself one small miracle during his usual shows: turning a turnip into an inkwell. I didn't get the importance of that and thought it was a throwaway line until I saw his visible panic when that trick gets blocked

My guess is that in season 3 Aziraphale and Crowley will team up to prevent Second Coming, for purely practical reasons at first. But their feelings for each other will come to the surface sooner or later. I would love to see Crowley in his "pretend to be angel" outfit again, I loved his look when he was visiting Heaven with Muriel. Maybe they could pretend that Aziraphale restored him to angelic status, so that he can move around Heaven freely, although he's actually just a disguised demon.
I love that were all just kind of okay with the entire idea that because they're Immortal I think it's very sweet thinking that Crowley's nervous about shooting aziraphale in the mouth when in reality this is really really very nerve wrecking it's nerve wrecking to have him shoot his only friend do you understand how terrifying terrified he is he's terrified it's so funny to me that you guys think this is okay it's not
