I have a 2007 model Passat automatic car. At first, the spare key was opening the car from close range. Later, the spare key could not open the car. The other key opened the car from a very close distance (1 meter). After a while, that key stopped opening the car. I have been unlocking and unlocking the car manually for a long time. When I want to duplicate keys, the car does not allow copying or deleting keys. When connected to the Comfort module, all features of the car are active, only the part related to the key is not active. What path can I follow?
hello my car is passat b6 3c 3.2 fsi. There is a sound coming from the comfort module of my vehicle. it's like a vibrating sound, like a metal wire waving in space. It does this every time I get up in first gear, close the windows, and insert the key into the hole. how does the sound come all the time? I removed the glove box and listened, the sound comes directly from the comfort module. There is no malfunction in the vehicle, but this sound bothers me. What do you think is the problem?
Hi, the CCM have only small relay what can cause some sound or clicking, by what you described only ideea is to replace the ccm and see if the sound persist.

Hello sir why cant just swapping the chip to the donor module.? Will it work ?
In this specific case was 2 different hw and also sw was not the same. I always cloned immo data when i changed ccm, due different failures of old ccm(locked time, not sure if eeprom data was correct 100%, and so on )
But can this be done with an eeprom clamp reader? without desoldering?

Hello, when immo its active do you have communication with ecu ? I had a similar issue and ecu was defective the location it is under windshield or in other case maybe ccm.
Can the eeprom can't be just swapped??
Hello, it should work also swapped when hw / sw are the same otherwise will fail. But anyway software its freeware to perform clone.

Mate, quickest way is to get an ELV emulator like the one from MK3, the only downside is any key/black can turn on ignition

Hi, hard to say without proper diagnostic steps, make a diagnostic to check elv is ok. Can be also a fuse check all of them. You need to check step by step

The you need to check your key to see if transponder is ok. Seems like a key issue, behavior like missing key / not programmed.
