  • A quick ‘sketch pad’ idea for a bitter sweet love song that touches on the taboo subject of suicide.
    Even while writing it, I wasn’t completely certain whether we should be happy for the old guy because he was ending his sadness, or whether I should rescue him in the 3rd verse (and force him to carry on without his soulmate).
    I do still think it’s a love song, even if it’s a but unorthodox, thanks to Brian Tombs for having a bass part ready as soon as the song was finished.
    The guitar is a Collings OM2H.

    Beautifully said gentlemen as I am experiencing an elderly version of my mom and what is, was and will never be again. Way to go Mr. Bass man!
