2003-2007 were the most memorables years for watching cartoons and shows for me, not just Toonami, but Cartoon Network itself as well as Disney, Nick, Kids WB, Fox Box, etc.
Man.. the nostalgia hit so hard with this one. I miss the times of not having everything in 4K and having to stay tuned into a show to watch the next episode. Love the convince of Netflix and what not now but man… nothing like being a kid back then.
i MISS the mid 2000's... I am an adult now, almost 30... and I was wrong. I was objectively wrong. I thought being a kid was so hard. I thought me in my emo phase was so smart and wise, I thought i knew what it meant to suffer. But i'd give anything to go back to my childhood, the mid-2000s. Please. I hate being an adult. I just want to go back. please
I miss the feeling of having my whole life ahead of me. The feeling of not knowing what's to come. The naiveite of being a kid and thinking anything is possible. Thinking if I worked hard enough like Goku or Naruto I could also achieve greatness. The world isn't at all like these anime. The world is cold, dark, unforgiving, unsympathetic. People suck. I just want to go back to when life was simpler. I could just enjoy video games and anime.
***** 2003 Cartoon Network was like the golden age, new episodes of Dexter's Lab, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, Time Squad, Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Codename: KND, and Justice League all year along including that epic summer. Including new shows like What's New Scooby-Doo, Hamtaro, and reruns of Jackie Chan Adventures and X-Men: Evolution joining the lineup as well. Not to mention the premiere of Teen Titans and Duck Dodgers! That was awesome! Toonami and Saturday Video Entertainment System was epic in 2003 as well like I mentioned.
mqgTWO96 CN used to be the BEST back when I was young because of Toonami but ever since Stupid Snyder became President of CN, he made things worse. And to this day I don't watch CN because they show the same bullcrap every day. They keep showing Uncle Grandpa, Regular Show, TAWOG, and Teen Titans Go. They used to show all the classics on Boomerang but the only classic show they broadcast is Foster's and Tom & Jerry. But the others are the Garfield Show and Scooby Doo nonstop. WTH happened?!
Tokyo Kakashi Let's get real here though the golden age of Toonami was when it was on the weekdays back in the late 90's & early 2000's (1997-2003). Those lineups with all the anime and DC action shows in its prime. All the Dragon Ball Z sagas airing regularly in order. Other great anime like Sailor Moon, Gundam, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Reruns of Superman: TAS, Batman: TAS, and Batman Beyond. Including Justice League as well. When Toonami was moved to Saturday nights in 2004 it went on a decline and the quality of anime had dropped but DC action show wise it was still great though with Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, iGPX, and Naruto. 2004 & 2005 still offered great Saturday night lineups especially that 2005 one. By mid 2006 most of the shows on Toonami didn't interest me anymore and then by 2007 TOM 3 was replaced by TOM 4 and took a turn for the worse. Toonami was reduced to only an hour or two, that's how it got cancelled in 2008. Since Toonami came back in 2012 it's been much better now with higher quality shows and since it's on [adult swim] it can be uncensored, plus they brought back the real TOM and Sara again, but it' biggest weakness is that a lot of anime could be seen subbed online in today's day and age. Like nobody's going to stay up that late to see Toonami each Saturday.
Tokyo Kakashi I see, and yeah that makes since, from 1999-2007 TOM 1, 2, & 3 aired regularly when Toonami was in its prime. When did you start getting into Cartoon Network? Powerhouse Era, City Era, Yes, Fall, etc.
Excellent love these promos 2003 to 2007 and definitely agree cartoon network and Disney channel and Nickelodeon was better in 2003 to 2007 than now in 2024
Anybody remember that time when they accidentally aired naruto around 4pm instead of 7pm on regular Cartoon Network? 😆 it was 2007, I remember the episode and everything, it was either a marathon or an accident they aired it, it was Hinata and nejis fight and like 3 other episodes lol, crazy how long ago that was, I was only 8,
Looking at this makes me realize hat I missed out on, kinda. And it makes a bit more miffed since I was around 6-11 around 2003-2007 (I especially hate that I didn't watch it in 03). Glad I'm watching it now, though.
honestly toonami was only relevant as the dbz block which ended in 2003 you can watch all the shows toonami aired on funimation or crunchyroll its not a big deal
Where is the one where TOM 3 lifts weights? I remember seeing that one as a kid and it's not on UA-cam. Like the ICO review and the Trapped in Hyperspace game... I'm tryna show people where my bisexuality came from...
Honestly Toonami whould have gotten much luck in that time as a part of Adult Swim and broadcasting Naruto uncut, Rave Master uncut, Prince of Tennis uncut, Dragon Ball gt uncut, Dragon Ball Z uncut and much other series than being the target of censorship. I know that some movies were broadcasted uncut but the 90% of the content was edited in a bad way.
You definitely know that TV has lost its multiple audience groove, . ... When the latter 2005 -2006 seasons of Romano and kids wb is more preferable to most stuff in the past 10 years.
Do anyone know about Sly 3 code, where you can get an airplane with Toonami written on it? I don't need it, but I need to know, was this easter egg invented by Toonami

Me too
And then all that live action bullshit happened “let’s get the kids outside more!!!!”
Yep
facts 2008-present is going downhill
FOR REALZ!!
I love watching these promos since the music, the editing, Steve Blum and peter Cullen are amazing and to just look back on some old Toonami memories
Dope new look. Same old goodness.
I will always become a number one anime fan just as I love being a fan of toonami.
I miss 2005 so much it was when CartoonNetwork was the shit.
I miss Jim Sample so much.
Tokyo Kakashi yeah lol.
@@Therant840 toonami new episodes of Billy and Mandy
10 years later, I still miss Jim Samples so damn much

A whole hour of Dragon Ball Z on Cartoon Network? That's crazy talk nowadays.
4 hours

2003 was a great year in cartoon network
2005 was a better year
Yeah. 🙂
1997-2004 were Toonami was the height of it's popularity.
@@kujakubes2411999-2001 was my favorite years for Toonami.
I miss this.

No way that one Duel Masters promo was real lmaoooo
I actually love this toonami as well!
2003 had the best lineup of shows and the best design for Toonami throughout that year.
Oh man I remember this like yesterday I was 7 back then. :D

Why can't CartoonNetwork just go back to the way it was!!!???
They market to kids born from 03 and up,its not a family channel anymore.
Oh wow I didn’t know that!
Feminism doesn't allow creativity
I like Tom refers to Peter Cullen as "The Big Guy".
19 years ago that's crazy
Bro. Please. Please just take me back. Just one more time. Please.

I watched this while wearing my Toonami hoodie lol
God I wish I was alive to watch this backthen.
5-9 year old me thought this was great
Honestly coming home from school to watch Naruto bleach and full metal alchemist 2003 was so cool when I was like 2nd or 3rd grade.
honestly toonami was only relevant as the dbz block which ended in 2003
you can watch all the shows toonami aired on funimation or crunchyroll its not a big deal
It was amazing
I remember watching Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z on toonami.
These were the good old days
Techno, quick cuts of action from cartoons, Steve's deep voice. Simple but I like it.
Wouldn't it be great if Boomerang aired some of this stuff with the bumpers at night?
I saw gundam force in there
Hmm, when did they use that 5 second long 2003 Toonami intro? Wasn't it when they had G Gundam on the lineup for a short time?
3:23 The voice of Madara Uchiha

My two favorite anime shows is one piece and dragon ball z
come on cartoon network just bring back the saturday 7-11 schedule!!
Can someone tell me who the robot spider thing is?
4kids one piece

I mean... What happened to that brief 4-5 years of promise of toonam8s return, the hub, transformers prime, avatar, X-men, thundercars, etc?

Dragon ball z is the best anime ever
What's the music during the dragonball z chronicles bumper
Do anyone know about Sly 3 code, where you can get an airplane with Toonami written on it? I don't need it, but I need to know, was this easter egg invented by Toonami
How long did they milk the first two arcs of Naruto?!
So much to a point where it became the “Teen Titans Go” of the network for a while

1999-2000 Toonami was way better than this. Toonami went downhill after 2001
Speak for yourself bro…
Liked old DBZ, Sailor Moon, 80s cartoons and Reboot a lot huh?
