Hey I really enjoyed this story. I’m a recovering alcoholic now but back when I was in college (1991-1996) I obviously was a severe heavy drinker and on nights that I couldn’t walk home I would somehow barely make it to the town cemetery, climb over the stone wall and head towards the middle of the cemetery and lay down at the base of a couple of trees and take a little snooze till I could get my navigation system up and runnin again to make it home. It was always pretty safe in a cemetery.
6 years 3 months ODAAT.
Take care and peace be with the families of the air tragedy last night.🙏😔
Thanks for sharing.
Please don't ever go back to the bottle. Tell those about the horrors..
@@paulmiller-y8i oh I won’t and I do. 🙏
I used to hunt next to an old cemetery like this in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. One morning I was walking to my spot before the sun came up and I passed an old man coming out of the cemetery caring an old lantern that wasn't lit. He just nodded to me as he passed like he was walking back to the road. I was the only one parked at the gate and we were miles away from any house or private land. It was super creepy. Something I'll never forget.
Wow! That would be creepy.
That place used to be fun for four-wheeler riding. Stuck to trails already made. Picked up litter. Fun.
Bullshit
@ Estes Cemetery near Holiday Landing on Wappappello Lake. Go check it out for yourself. Its a weird place.
Yeah your a lier.
I live in michigan and we are in no short supply of strange things and places. At one time there was a state mental asylum in northville michigan that has been closed and abandoned for years. My cousin tells stories about sneaking into and exploring this place and other sites. This asylum is on a huge parcel of land with multiple buildings, connected by underground tunnels. He told me that it was super scary exploring the buildings and tunnels with flashlights 🔦 after dark. Another location my cousin told me about was on a steelhead fishing trip along the Clinton River about 30 miles north of detroit. Him and a friend discovered a bunker like structure in the woods. They entered this structure and discovered it to be an abandoned cold war era Nike Ajax missile site. Yes there are some strange things out there, everywhere. Great video 😊😊
Oh boy...now you are getting my 'what in the world' senses going . The woods is full of all sorts of unknown (by someone) or unexplained stuff that happens. That is what I enjoy about exploring and finding all kinds of places. Some many have been too, but I haven't and I hope I can share all sorts of experiences in the woods and show others. Great experience Craig. Who knows, we may run into each other sometime out exploring. Stay safe and stay spooky- Tony
Let’s get out there and explore! Stay safe!
There are some strange people who hang out in National Forests and other public lands. In the Ozarks, there was a man who had some goats and walked along his trails with a broom, keeping the trails swept clean. I never saw him, but heard he had once been a banker. I think some of the people around there would help him out with some food. I don't know if he had a tent, or had built some sort of shelter.
That is odd!
I think it was a deer taking a nap.
@@barbaramichiels5503 the tracks left behind were not deer tracks. They were definitely human tracks
WHEN PEOPLE SAY the mystery man was resting, sleeping, or mourning, they aren't taking into account it was raining. Also not taken into account is the fact that the gravestone is very old, older than any child or grandchild of the deceased. I think that leaves us with somebody who is mentally unbalanced, or possibly into some occult activity. After all, who goes deep into the forest and lies down right above a deceased, long-forgotten body?
I agree with you. I believe it was someone that wasn’t quite right.
I think it was someone who missed their mom or dad and they were getting as close to them and crying in the rain.
I enjoyed this story! Thank you! Love your dogs also❤
Thanks! They love to tag along.
Enjoyed your video thanks for posting 👍
I appreciate that!
FERAL PEOPLE I TELL YOU!!!
Jim Morrison said it best. People are strange. A person sleeping on top of a grave in an old cemetery
may seem strange to some folks, but it happens. Unfortunately, my experience in eastern Kentucky is that there are a large number of people with mental illnesses out in the woods, the DB national forest and the other federal and state parks and recreational areas. I had a couple of strange encounters in the Red River Gorge area, as well as the DB national forest. Most of my friends and family who hike and camp across the country have similar stories.
Thanks for sharing!
I believe it was Frank and Sue playing a 'Gotcha' on you guys. 😂
Oooo! Thanks for your story. Interesting question though.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Being a grandaddy, i think a mature grandson was catching some memory time with his old grandad or granny.
Could be, I guess I’ll never know for sure.
@@NatureReliance Could be just a. passerby stopped to pray peacefully.
........... O R =. couldn't it just be some worn-out hiker taking a break, and
gettin some very peaceful shut-eye ?
Cemetery witchcraft is one possibility. I know the DB National forest area. 20 years ago there were a lot of Witch religions in the area.
The ultra rich elite love to go into remote forests to do their blood rituals.
Ugh, dreadful.
People have no respect.
It was a deer !!!!!😮
How old are the graves? The tombstones look like 1800's maybe. Doubt it's a loved one missing someone as some are saying.
People are more weird in 2025 than ever before. Carry a firearm & stay safe out there.
The exact dates and names are long gone, I’m guessing early 1800’s.
Maybe a relative of one of the people buried there.
Let people grieve how they will. Maybe they were the last in line of the family name and they were marking the end of a family name. Could be a lot of reasons. At least you and yours are safe
Pretty weird but you’re lucky if that’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen in the Forest. I mean being hunting quiet you end up jumping all sorts of animals and people. And other things.
How old do you think those tomb stones are? Can you read any dates on them?
You may have stumbled onto a Bigfoot there have been hundreds of sightings in that area.
Sounds like super-natural activity to me. Either that or complete weirdo laying on the ground. Would freak me out. 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
I’m thinking weird-o. lol
Being Kentucky, do you know of any moonshiners around that area. Could have been a watcher to warn the moonshiners someone was around. My neighbor dad use to sit up on a hill with a whistle when he was younger to alert the shiners. That be back in the 20s and 30s. Just guessing.
That is weird.
I know there is a new age practice called "grave soaking" or something like that. I guess people lay down on the grave. to get messages or something.
You forgot the campfire and the flashlight for your ghost story.
Sounds like you jumped a bedded deer to me.
There are some boneheads that practice "Soul Soaking."
bear or deer?
The shape indicated it was a human. Although, finding deer beds is pretty cool as well.
I sleep near my burird dogs in tne garden
Duh, it's very obvious what they were doing. Clearly, they were trying to keep that little plot dry.
Why didn’t I think of that? Lol
I don't know...but that's freaky as sin...no pun intended. Good thriller story though
That’s for watching! I always appreciate positive comments!
Why did you assume human, when the absolutely most plausible scenario was a deer, or bear, etc that was bedded down?
Because I know what a deer bed vs a human figure look like.
@NatureReliance very interesting. I live by a forest and I see ghost all the time . I seen a old man smoking a cigarette 🚬 I felt very alarmed . I seen a ghost walk in a semi truck on a ramp not to far . From the site . U know someone or something not right it's in our spirts radar.
@@NatureReliance Had to ask
Could have been a deer
No telling. Might have jumped a deer up.
Normally I would agree. It is very common to jump a deer, however this was long and human shaped.
Man stay the heck up out these dang cemetery folks. What the heck is wrong with yall
Have you been told that you have eyes that look Asian?
