Loved this David. I use the filbert for clouds almost all the time. It's a great brush for many things.

@@davidbrancato5339 have you tried using the Gamblin toxic free liquid? The gel is great for plein air- the liquid is good for using in the method you’ve shown here-
Also- for coating canvas prior-like the Ross method for wet on wet….
I found using the liquid or gel - mixing burnt umber and coat canvas to take white of canvas- and blend just like you’ve done here- (any other color as well for coating canvas)…

@@davidbrancato5339 please come back and post clouds- I just found your channel and watched a few videos- I enjoy your teaching style- filbert- see the brush-
I just read your description- please come back and talk about how you use the radiant oil paints- I have all the colors and haven’t tried them yet-
Great lesson here- would so appreciate you do a tutorial on clouds using the filbert and the radiant colors- pretty sunset- and or cloudscape-

@@Milania717 Generally I don't like it because it dries too fast. I don't use any mediums with alkyd resin for anything other than the Bob Ross method of painting. For realism I really just enjoy allowing the paint to dry naturally.

I agree. This year has been crazy, and we are moving on top of that. Once I get settled into my new place and routine I'll get back to this channel.

Yes I can. Time is always very lean, but I can certainly try to put some focus on clouds.

Yes, but you have to make sure you paint into it quickly, and do whatever you need to do in that one sitting. The next time you come back to it, say, the next day, you will no longer be able to blend properly if at all.
