Although I knew Al before he became so "famed," we worked at RCA during the mid-60s and all I'm hearing from his friends and coworkers here now reflect what I knew then about him. RIP Al! Miss you!
Well ... JJP, CLA, Michael Brauer, George Massenburg, Bob Clearmountain , Andrew Scheps ... if the best of the best in an industry come together for more than two hours to pay tribute, you‘ll get an idea of what an iconic legend the great Al Schmitt has been. Thanks MWTM for this. 🙏🏼
Thank you World for giving us Al Schmitt. I am thankful that I was living in the times when this beautiful human being, a legend and our mentor was walking on this earth too. Thank you Mix with the Masters for all your work. Bless your hearts.
"Please be kind to all living things" - Al Schmitt. Wow. What an inspiration to be a good person, let alone as a legend in music. Thank you MWTM for this wonderful tribute and to everyone who took part.
Many things are wrong with the times we live in, but it is amazing that we can just get to hang out with a bunch of heroes celebrating another grand hero. Thanks for doing this! Missed hearing anything from Eddie
I have not been paying attention to industry news in a long time and had not known that Al had passed. Back in 2002 I found an online forum where you could connect on industry professionals and Al was one that responded to my questions and even invited me down to Capitol to get a tour and see the studios there. He even got me connected with a tour of the Village Recorder and later got to meet Rod Stewart at then Schnee Studios. Al will be greatly missed.
What an amazing tribute to one of greatest ever that I wish i had the chance to learn from . Especially and honor to see all the amazing engineers and artists that showed up on zoom for this incredible tribute
The masters paying tribute to the Maestro. At 2 hours, it seemed short, at least to me. If you didn't know anything about Al, this will tune you in, and you will understand why he's loved so.
Thank you for this tribute! I'm blessed to have had the chance to meet Al. He's legendary and I've learned so much from him in the little time I've known about him.
There is a saying in the UK and it goes like this "The Dogs Bollocks" and this describes something being very very good and Al Schmitt was and still is "The Dogs Bollocks"

Much love and respect for Al. He’s my role model and my hero.❤❤
This was beautiful. Thank you, MWTM. Thank you, Al.

Thank you folks for the tribute. Love from Russia, Moscow. RiP.
literally, I´m in tears after Greg Wells's introduction.
It’s very comforting to see Steve Genewick using the same studio monitors as myself!!
