Quel concert ici ! SUBLIMISSIME !
I have listened to and watched the incomparable performances of Michel Legrand for more than forty years, l never tire of them, and it is always a joy to chance upon one such as this, a new one for me. Playing with a sublime orchestra of musicians to a very appreciative audience, me included, cosy and comfortable in bed in the wee, small hours! Bliss. Christina B.🎹🛌♥️♥️♥️
What an amazingly talented man Michel Legrand was, his fingers here are still so nimble at age 76. He left us one decade later, and what a loss! But thankfully he comes back to us in this video, never to be forgotten, with his majestic compositions! This video shows that ML really has fun with his music at times, he shows pure joy! The photographer at this concert is right on target showcasing the various orchestra members with their particular instrument, right where it counts -- thank you for that!
15:02 indeed! "Summer of '42" was the most romantic experience of my moviegoing life. I'd gone with a buddy of mine (both straight) and I found myself with a female stranger sitting to my right. Totally romantic flick, right? We must have been giving off vibes, .moved closer until our shoulders were touching. I never even glanced at her, had no.idea what she looked like, or how old she was. And yet. We were snuggling with just our shoulders, and the next thing I knew I'd put my arm around her. It was like I'd sunk into a hot tub. I felt an intimacy that was natural. Still, not even having yet looked at each other, we watched the rest of "Summer of '42" together like we were on a date together. Two. Total. Strangers. I wish I had a punch line to the story, but no such luck. We went for coffee afterwards, talked, but there was no chemistry between us. I was 21 or so; we were close enough in age, neither of us were bad looking. The movie experience was mutually, undeniably enjoyable. But that was it, our first and last date, two Strangers in the night. (Cue music, fade to black, roll credits.)
