Having a few hundreds of my own 3D printed designs of all sorts I can see why this is a V2. The pull limit, the auto tension out of the way and the handy clip at the clew in the boom bladder and velcro closed folding area, great practical ideas showing some time testing and revising. I haven't been much interested in riding harnessed but I csan really see the apeal of the auto snugged version of harness lines.
Nice concept however I find that grabbing the harness line with my back hand then grabbing the handle or boom solves the issue of it slapping in the face when pumping
I have a couple of these. Works better on hard booms than soft. Decent harness needed next as currently hook on belt which is not great (dangerous, and once pulled whole belt off). It does require a bit of adjusting to get lengths right, but great after that. I added a knot to the far side of the sheath as it slid down too far, and needed to adjust the length (white). I think one per wing ideally. Not sure if the pro one is worth it or maybe a v3 will fine tune further, but generally happy with!
I saw one of these looks pretty cool and owner loved itI don’t like harnesses either/ totally agree w u. cold water= 5mm mitts=15 min grip strength. I tried disposable latex gloves on 1 hand and was surprised that they help with no loss of grip strength. Hand didn’t stay dry but latex takes out the wind chill and u do get a wetsuit effect. Got some 2 mm mystic ease mitts w holes in palms coming. If that doesn’t work this is harness is next move. I can ride w latex gloves down to 50f air. latex gloves worth a shot to buy a few degrees to avoid thicker mitts or gloves and might be a good 1st layer below gloves
Hi Damien, I always see this line with handles. Inbetween the two handles. I Wingfoil with a bar. Does it also work easy to clip in? Regards from Germany
The problem I have had with a harness line is the leash and the harness line often swing together. Sometimes they wrap around each other and even if they don’t I occasionally I hook into both. I thought the problem was with the leash but this may be an easier fix to the problem. I may try a simple bungee first. Does it bother your back hand grip?
This system is more elaborated than just a bungee, so not sure a bungee would work as a harness line. A waist leash may help your issue. And no this system doesn't bother the grip at all
@@DamienLeroyUA-cam I meant a bungee attached to a regular harness line. I think the key may be the micro block at the end to get enough travel. Also, I probably need to abandon the wrist leash when using a harness.
How is disconnecting? I tried an elastic harness recently thinking I might have difficulty disconnecting. I couldn’t even unhook it after I crashed and was lying in the water.
On the v1 the end of the line that plug to the tip broke very quick , i asked the designer why he used pla told me it’s was fine during the test… i re did it with PETG it’s now much more durable of course ! Another issues is the velcro scratch they are not durable unfortunately and they are all bend and curly now. Still this product is clever and i didnt like regular harness line, but maybe like somebody said it’s over engineered.
This looks really bad. Look how it occupies most of the handle. Slightly over-engineered in my opinion. A little harness line that is stretchy does the job for me.

I have some of these. They have now the pro version.. . With a easy lengthadjustment on the fly... Amazing. greez from switzerland

It’s very helpful !! Really ! You do a great job 👏, thanks 🙏

Yes it works with a boom as well

The duotone coil wing leash solved this for me. Others get in the way of the harness line unless they are exactly the right length.

I have them : i just cant ride without them anymore !
Right!? Such a game changer!
Gwen, where or how did you mount your camera for the board riding shots please?
Great work, thanks.

As you can see in the video, the unhooking process was flawless, didn't have any issue
Holding the bungee with the thumb makes it super easy to unhook, basically like a regular harness line (non-elastic)
Where is the strings protection coming from ? I have artness v2 but without protection... many Thanks.😊
Humm, I guess they added that after you got yours :)

3D printed PLA? Anyone have feedback on the longevity of those parts?

I'm going to guess this isn't PLA but probably PETG or a fiber infused filament, which are pretty common these days.
