Fuck, give the song a chance. It's only been a day lol
But the fact that you just learned it allows me to see the joy you have while playing this.
Bro this is absolutely insane! Literally played to perfection, not even one note missed! This has been my most played song for over a year and to see someone do it on drums and hit every single note is awesome!
Trying a new editing style! Give me some songs to cover!

Nicely done. What Sabian hat and Zildjian crash ride are you using?

Thanks a lot! It's a 21" Zildjian K Crash/Ride!
The way you leave your stick on your snare head after hits and those rim shots hurt my drum teachers soul
your drum teachers soul is kinda whack
Michael McKerracher nah he just knows actual percussion technique lol
first of all, rim shots are used in just about every rock subgenre, they sound great.. and bro if your teacher says your hand should be floating in between notes, you need a new teacher ahaha
Michael McKerracher I was in marching/symphonic band and drumline/winter percussion throughout all of middle and high school, you want sound to resonate not be muted by your own lazy technique, I promise you that if you ever get any professional help in the future that they will tell you the same thing. I have been through 4 different music instructors, none of them allowed us to rest our hands on the heads of ANYTHING after playing a note. I'll give you that rim shots are used in most genres but they are definitely not supposed to be done every time you hit the snare because you arent trained to hit the actual spots on the head you should be. You can pretend you know whatever you want and try to defend it but I know from years of experience that its just sloppiness, it's one thing to do those things and realize them while actively trying to work on them as well as all of the other things you do wrong , but to do them and then arrogantly act like that's how you're SUPPOSED to be playing, come on man, the only people you are fooling are people who dont have any knowledge of the drums/any percussion whatsoever
I would argue that rim shots are a technique the same way cross sticks are. It's for power. It's not a habit. I do it in songs that have rim shots in them. Watch my protest the hero cover or any of my faster covers, I only leave the stick down for Accents. also, in that thread you sent, it claims the tip stays on the drum head. I did not do this, and there are no sloppy notes as a result of this. My bad that my snare stand is broken and won't go further down. Regardless, mind your own business. People do shit differently. Just because you did marching (where the drumming techniques are solely based on speed) does not mean every other technique is wrong. Get out of my comments and be a little less arrogant.
Dat snare tho
siccck
do the full album please??
You should cover wishing well by blink!
i’m a self-learning drummer and i watch your video as tutorial and inspiration! When i’m practising this song, i realised my pedal speed is not nearly fast enough for the double strike; i can only do it at 50% speed, are you using heel to toe method on the bass or just heel? Looking for your response!
Spot on! Awesome cover!! Really enjoying your work. New sub here.
Hey man! Awesome cover! How did youcreate youre video intro? what software did you use it is great! @Michael McKerracher
Hey thanks a lot! I actually made this about three years ago for a School project, and stuck with it. I used Adobe After Effects CS6. I use Adobe software for everything pretty much other than audio recording/editing
the chorus is four bars of 7/8 and one of 4/4?
What's the ride cymbal? Great cover btw.
23" Sweet Ride?
21" Sweet Ride!
Michael McKerracher thanks dude, sounds great.
I'm curious are you in a band?
yup! hardcore band called Clear Focus
What can i do to get my snare sounding more like that? I cant seem to get the rattle out of it
riley77689 controlled dot heads help a lot. tune your reso head tight, top head medium, add moon gels if it has too man overtones!
122 - 0 well done
