- 2023 boat season is here!! My first day back on the water and I ran into my good friend Bobbyjoe who just bought a new Kona Jet boat. We were suppose to go fishing but ended up racing on the way to the spot lol.
Looks like my old 74 southwind, 455 probably one of the best running engines I ever had.
The super tiger is a sought out hull here in California put a big block Chevy in her n she'll be real fast

The canopy's on a jet boat is like putting racing stripes on a yugo...they don't belong,,it's stupid...
It's a California thing, most of them came like that, and every jet boat I remember as a kid had one. Damn thing acts like a giant sail though

I have a 1973 Tahiti Torino 19’ it has a fresh 455. It gets on plane in about the length of the boat. Not a high rev motor but the torque is impressive
