Thanks its been a blast not to long ago but seems like its been longer. We have put lots of work into this boat to get it to the point it is today. Its been a blast with a diverter on it! Still constantly working on it though lol

I bet at full throttle ,one can have 30+ foot rooster tails !!. I was on a jet boat back in the day,on Roger's Lake,in Old Lyme,CT. It had a 454. There wasn't speed limit then . You should have see it it had islands and it's not really that big of a lake. We were getting some serious speed's !! I was a young teen !! .That boat you have here is Sweet!! I love how it has the 427 Ford in it !! How's it run ? I'd like to put a 427 on an aluminum Jon boat . Real rugged !! 18ft

I’ve got a 73 Tahiti with a 455 olds. It’s now a 500+ hp 496 olds.
Heck yeah we will probably hop this one a bit but trying to keep it stock looking.
We might have to get a nother one to go fast with cause we like fast to!
@@texasdriven1521 You can add another hundred horses to the engine and not gain any speed. The pump, or jet drive in stock form only handles so many GPM...gallons per minute. For real speed you'll need to focus on the impeller. Been there.
Temp gauge is most important.

Bilge pump or sump pump I might be pronouncing it wrong. Electric pump that removes water from hual of boat. The out let is right above the jet drive.

Centurion, honestly haven't figured out the model of this chase and I've looked some. Rare it seems.
Get a boat that can do rivers. No flat water. Check Hells canyon Snake river, Colorado River and Klamath rivers. Check white water rivers. Your boat would be washed by a wake boat. Hell I wouldn't take that on the Yellowstone.
We like our lake boat just fine maybe one day we will do a mini jet though

It was we brought it and have done quite a bit of fixing up and now running it hard and enjoying it! No plans to sell at this time.

Awesome boat but you do realize that a jet drive only pushes so much water right?? You can have 900 hp motor and only do 60-70 mph.... It all depends on the type and size of the jet drive.... If you wanna go real fast you need to find a V drive boat...Beautiful boat either way and will run fast enough to keep you happy.... my 18' sleekcraft with a 454 chebby will do 65 all day long... Always Remember run em fast and hard...
@@1istomanyads906 Yeah not trying to go 100 or anything. Might venture down that road of more speed eventually with a few helper parts. We just want her solid so we can cruse all day and run full throttle with out worry of hurting anything. 60 mph would be sweet lol. Just trying to get it healthy she did good this past weekend.
Best to get a boat on and off the trailer by hand. Save the gelcoat. Especially on vintage boats. Only dumbest boat owners drive on and off the trailer and their damaged boat show it.
