Back again while still watching..i just have to say that I really love how you put the names of perfumes in a bold font and then the pretty cursive font for the house. Perfect size font for us to see easily and you leave the names on screen the whole time- so many other reviewers either don't bother putting up the name on screen, or, if they do, they use a tiny font at the very bottom of the screen.
Thank you! It doesn't seem like a big deal but it's quite the effort while editing. I appreciate seeing the name on the screen since I am usually multi-tasking while watching videos and don't always catch the name. I find it helpful as a viewer! 💯💯💯
Great video 😉👍🏼 you’re one of few pl I trust with dupe recommendations because I know you’ve smelled and tested samples of most fragrances to be able to give accurate comparisons 👏🏽 so many ppl doing dupe videos that never smelled the real thing or worn it to get a real comparison 🤷🏻♀️
Last year Zara came out with a Chapter No. 4 collection and there are several dupes of famous fragrances. Bohemian Oud is By the Fireplace, Perpetual Oud is Oud Satin Mood or L’Extase Rose Absolue, and Hipster Oud is Hanae Mori. Fantastic quality and very underrated. My favorite dupe of last year is Junoon Noir which is a dupe of Dama Bianca. Classy and elegant fragrance.

And of course I have my top favorites out of them and now wanna sell the rest. But I'm finding myseld doing the same with spicy vanillas now too... where they're not exactly the same or even dupes but I certainly have my top favorites that I will continually reach for over the rest... but you know sometimes you maybe blind buy a perfume and you smell for the first time and you're like "ahh yea I already own the better version of what this is" typa thing lol
I really enjoyed this one. I have many of the dupes you mentioned. I especially love the orientica dupe for br 540 and rassasi sotoor is a great rendition of that apple pie sort of fragrance you spoke about.

Hi Veronica, I discovered a brand called Armaf. I purchased Club de Nuit. It does resemble Coco Mademoiselle Chanel. I also purchased Club de Nuit Intense. I absolutely love it. It is a dark oud rose. I can imagine someone like Abbey from NCIS wearing it. I think this brand is super fun to try. They came out this year with one flanker called Club de Nuit Untold, supposed to resemble Baccarat 540. Liked the Owl impression lol XO
We love when owls actually push the squirrels out of the owl house and come to stay! We get the small screech owls who's hoots sound more like a soft horse whinny..❤️. On the subject of dupes, Julianna's has some in the pipeline I'm really excited about, but just recently got their version of Angelique Noir and really was impressed with it. When their Angel's Share dupe came out, I picked up the full bottle and love it!

I love dupes, and spending less for fragrances. Excited to watch. I know you don’t like Dua bottles (those and Alt bottles are awful!). I have found that Dua has a weird synthetic and also plastic scent to them especially for a while as they sort of settle and macerate. I swore them off even but just gave in and ordered Delina exclusif dupe from them. I’m really excited, hoping it’s lovely.
I was thinking about the Alt dupes if they’re good ? Will give one a try. I have so many pretty bottles I display and put the plain or odd ones sideways for colour effect. I don’t know what I’d do for display, if I had more gorgy ones.

I'd love to hear your opinion on Afnan's Souvenir Bouquet which dupes Delina. It comes in such a CUTE bottle that's like a white Fabrige Egg on a pedestal with the top half of egg shape dome being clear with tiny gold rose buds inside! The other black egg bottle is a dupe for Erba Pura. I know you probably already have the originals and prob plenty of dupes- but these are two that NEVER get attention and supposedly the performance is 100× better! Oh! The price is ONLY $36 BUCKS!!!!
Soooo... I don't love Delina so much so I would not want a dupe, and I have Amber Oud Gold which is a dupe of Erba Pura so I'm all set on those fragrances. The only person I've heard talk about those Afnans is Bougee Fragrance and she's not posting much anymore. 😔
One of my favorite dupe makers is Devin Breaux of Genre Parfums. He also does originals, which are spectacular! (Especially Apples & Aces) But his dupes mainly focus on discontinued or super high end fragrances that are unavailable or extremely hard to get. I have to say that he is especially great with gourmands. He just recently put out a dupe of YSL Babycat which is about 95% spot on.
I do not know Oud for Greatness but got a sample of Oud of Glory. Had to buy it - such a great fragrance - and budged friendly. Love the packaging too.

I didn't think I liked heavy scents but Obsession was a favorite as well as the 80s version of Clinique's Aromatic Elixir. Soooo, I guess I did, maybe still do. Loved this video, thank you for the hard work. I'm in the beginner's section so didn't know a lot of these but I'm sure the vets here appreciate the finds. I was interested in the Santal dupe but still think Cremo is the choice for me. I also looked at First Kiss Exclusive but $60+ is too high for me. Think I'll go with a sample and see if I like it first then wait for a sale as you advise. I'm hoping someone in the comments has a dupe for Donna Born in Roma. Don't know why but that one won't leave my brain. The Middle Eastern/Arabian houses are intriguing and I think I'll go look again at your vid on them. Oud's scary but maybe there's something there I'll like.
Hi there! 💖 Here's a tip - both Alexandria and Be Layered sell a generous sample kit where you can try many at the same time AND the samples are generous (at least when I purchased them a couple of years ago). That might be one way to try them out and see if they strike your fancy 👌👌👌
I've never tried any of these...but they certainly do sound intriguing! I love the haunting call of the owl! We live near the woods in northern BC, so I often hear them.
I also love Alexandria by far for really good quality and dupes. I have Forbidden Plum a dupe of TF Plum Japonaise and it's fantastic. I compared the two and it's so, so close. I actually love the Alexandra better. I also have the Fatal de Vanille you have and was asked by people while shopping, on two consecutive days, what it was it smelled so good. That never happens to me and both times it was at the end of the day when I could no longer smell it. I used to have a huge decant of the original and it's exactly as I remember it to smell. I have a few decent Dua's, all iris perfumes save one spot on dupe of Le Labo Rose 31. Alexandra also makes a good dupe of the discontinued Bond no 9 "Andy Warhol" which I have. Lucky you to hear owls! I love them and we sometimes also hear them calling behind my house in the woods.

You did it again Veronica now I am on a hunting journey for Melodie by Orientica as I am treasuring Sintra by Memo and the miser part of me refuses to splash it 😁. Lattafa Ana Abyadh Rouge is an excellent dupe for BR540 Extrait at a very affordable price, I like the bottle. My recent discoveries are from Ajmal: 1- Sophisticate dupe of Mugler Alien before reformulation but lacks the extra longivity. 2- Aristrocrate exact dupe for BR540 EDP without the "gauze" and the "peek- a -boo". But I do not like the bottles. I think the Owl was watching and listening to you whilst doing this video🦉

I have Gravity and a nice sample of Bond #9 Chinatown. I don't know if that's the dupe, but to me, they are related. Layering them works well too.

Kirkland Columbian coffee cans filled with samples, with a bunch of half ounce sample bottles from gift sets in closets and drawers from decades of buying (in addition to a massive collection of full sized bottles). I forgot if I asked if you watch Sebastian, The Perfume Guy's channel. The guy has about 4,000 bottles and I can't figure out how he can hold up a bottle where he has only half the juice left, considering he has so many. I'm lucky if I can make a 10% dent in a bottle! His favorite of all time is Dior Homme Parfum and he has about 10 backups of that one! I don't know if you've had a chance to smell it, but if you know anyone traveling to Europe, tell them to pick it up for your husband! It's terrific. Dior has never launched it in the USA.

I happened to find both rouge and /vert, each for ~30$ picked them up and I was so impressed I got backups! the price has gone up since and they are very hard to find so I'm really happy to have them! 🥰 I also love Oud for glory (got it before I heard or smelled the Oud for greatness ) and got compliments even though I thought it's a bit unusual and maybe overpowering (for non perfume enthusiasts... )

Thank you for this video, I look forward to all your videos! I've actually realized that I think I want to get a couple dupes, especially for my 2-year-old daughter. She's starting to get into fragrances too (I might or might not have something to do with that 🤣), and really don't want to invest in the full price fragrance for her. At least not yet. Great selection Veronica! I'm not sure if all those brands you mentioned are available in Australia? I'll have to do some digging. Sadly, the great price of the dupe is sometimes made redundant by the ridiculous shipping costs. Grrr. lol Anyways, Like everyone, I've had hits and misses with dupes. I do have Dark Temptation by Be Layered which is great - a dupe for Oud Bouquet. Wouldn't say spot on but so many rose ouds are in that ball park so close enough and it is lovely. Better than the Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud (gold bottle) which is a powerhouse but a bit scratchy and shrill for me (fyi the Shaghaf Oud Aswan is a better frag imo, but not a dupe that I know of). And Alexandria is a great house. I also quite like Fatal de Vanille and China Affair. Not sure how close to Coromandel I find China Affair (must retest!) but it's a lovely fragrance regardless. I have a bottle of H'Ani, but also love my samples of Le Chypre (Chypre Palatine), Purpl3 H@ze (Psychedelic Love)and Moonstruck (Lune Feline). However, my favourite that I'd love a bottle of is Egyptian King (which is actually an original Alexandria frag). Intense and gorgeous. Powdery ambery goodness. It always makes me think of those pink musk stick sweets/lollies (they're prolific in Australia) maybe in a temple blended with incense and powder and resins. Sounds odd lol but it's such an amazing fragrance. But I've not tried any new ones (the last couple of years or so) from Alexandria. I'm very keen to try out Bright Peach by Maison Alhambra - a very affordable dupe of Bitter Peach (obvs!). Another good dupe for Angel's Share is Kismet Angel also by Maison Alhambra. I love the smell of it but haven't tried the OG. I'm told it's about 85%. But it smells GOOOD! HA. Thanks for another great vid. Too bad we never heard the owl. 😟

An owl! How exciting! I live near the Rockies but our yards are teeny tiny (housing is so expensive) but we still have had deer, a baby bear pooped on our sidewalk caught by our ring camera, snakes (including a rattle snake yikes), fox also on the camera, and mountain lions have been spotted near by (and extra yikes!). Creatures find their way around for sure.
It IS exciting! It never gets old to hear the "hoo" sound around our house. We get snakes, deer, opossum, fox, and occasional wolves and bears. Lots of falcon and an occasional eagle too. So cool! 💖💖💖

This is super helpful AND I learned of some new dupe houses. I recently learned of and went on the dua site and wasn’t even impressed with the site compared to oakcha, alt, dossier, Julianna’s which are the main ones I’m familiar with as of now. Have yet to purchase from Julianna’s. The oakcha bottles are stunning to me.
I own Collateral Damage by Dua, and yes, it is very similar to Side effects by Initio. Almost spot on. I love it and it gets me compliments every time I wear it. And I looove the bottle (just kidding)

I’ve never tried any on your list, but I just bought 7 from dua. Unfortunately, so far, I like maybe 2:( I tried a few from alt once, gag, got rid. Never tried Alexandria or riffs maybe I’ll experiment at some point. I find dupes generally to be more synthetic smelling and then I get frustrated and buy the original which just wastes money. Hey Janice, yes, some people find that to be the case. If you prefer the originals, I say stick with those! Nothing wrong with that. It can be a whole rabbit hole to explore dupes, just to go back to the originals anyway, you know? I certainly have shied away from dupe houses that just feel like cheap smelling versions of the originals - no point in that!

Perfect size font for us to see easily and you leave the names on screen the whole time- so many other reviewers either don't bother putting up the name on screen, or, if they do, they use a tiny font at the very bottom of the screen.
Thank you! It doesn't seem like a big deal but it's quite the effort while editing. I appreciate seeing the name on the screen since I am usually multi-tasking while watching videos and don't always catch the name. I find it helpful as a viewer! 💯💯💯

Last year Zara came out with a Chapter No. 4 collection and there are several dupes of famous fragrances. Bohemian Oud is By the Fireplace, Perpetual Oud is Oud Satin Mood or L’Extase Rose Absolue, and Hipster Oud is Hanae Mori. Fantastic quality and very underrated. My favorite dupe of last year is Junoon Noir which is a dupe of Dama Bianca. Classy and elegant fragrance.

Hi Veronica, I discovered a brand called Armaf. I purchased Club de Nuit. It does resemble Coco Mademoiselle Chanel. I also purchased Club de Nuit Intense. I absolutely love it. It is a dark oud rose. I can imagine someone like Abbey from NCIS wearing it. I think this brand is super fun to try. They came out this year with one flanker called Club de Nuit Untold, supposed to resemble Baccarat 540. Liked the Owl impression lol XO

I love dupes, and spending less for fragrances. Excited to watch. I know you don’t like Dua bottles (those and Alt bottles are awful!). I have found that Dua has a weird synthetic and also plastic scent to them especially for a while as they sort of settle and macerate. I swore them off even but just gave in and ordered Delina exclusif dupe from them. I’m really excited, hoping it’s lovely.

I'd love to hear your opinion on Afnan's Souvenir Bouquet which dupes Delina. It comes in such a CUTE bottle that's like a white Fabrige Egg on a pedestal with the top half of egg shape dome being clear with tiny gold rose buds inside! The other black egg bottle is a dupe for Erba Pura. I know you probably already have the originals and prob plenty of dupes- but these are two that NEVER get attention and supposedly the performance is 100× better! Oh! The price is ONLY $36 BUCKS!!!!

One of my favorite dupe makers is Devin Breaux of Genre Parfums. He also does originals, which are spectacular! (Especially Apples & Aces) But his dupes mainly focus on discontinued or super high end fragrances that are unavailable or extremely hard to get. I have to say that he is especially great with gourmands. He just recently put out a dupe of YSL Babycat which is about 95% spot on.

I also love Alexandria by far for really good quality and dupes. I have Forbidden Plum a dupe of TF Plum Japonaise and it's fantastic. I compared the two and it's so, so close. I actually love the Alexandra better. I also have the Fatal de Vanille you have and was asked by people while shopping, on two consecutive days, what it was it smelled so good. That never happens to me and both times it was at the end of the day when I could no longer smell it. I used to have a huge decant of the original and it's exactly as I remember it to smell. I have a few decent Dua's, all iris perfumes save one spot on dupe of Le Labo Rose 31. Alexandra also makes a good dupe of the discontinued Bond no 9 "Andy Warhol" which I have. Lucky you to hear owls! I love them and we sometimes also hear them calling behind my house in the woods.

My recent discoveries are from Ajmal: 1- Sophisticate dupe of Mugler Alien before reformulation but lacks the extra longivity. 2- Aristrocrate exact dupe for BR540 EDP without the "gauze" and the "peek- a -boo". But I do not like the bottles.

I wonder how many of us who watch a steady diet of fragrance reviews don't understand that phrase to the fullest extent?!😄 Is there anyone here who hasn't looked in the back of their cabinet or a closet shelf and then suddenly see a bottle and say to themselves, "Wow. When did I buy this?!"
LMBO! I recently re-ordered samples that I had ALREADY ordered just a few weeks before. I had ordered THAT many that I forgot I already had the samples waiting at home to be tried! 🥴🥴🥴
@@VeronicaSays Why doesn't that surprise me?! I have about four 3 lb. Kirkland Columbian coffee cans filled with samples, with a bunch of half ounce sample bottles from gift sets in closets and drawers from decades of buying (in addition to a massive collection of full sized bottles).
I forgot if I asked if you watch Sebastian, The Perfume Guy's channel. The guy has about 4,000 bottles and I can't figure out how he can hold up a bottle where he has only half the juice left, considering he has so many. I'm lucky if I can make a 10% dent in a bottle!
His favorite of all time is Dior Homme Parfum and he has about 10 backups of that one! I don't know if you've had a chance to smell it, but if you know anyone traveling to Europe, tell them to pick it up for your husband! It's terrific. Dior has never launched it in the USA.
Yeah the sample situation can balloon out of control. I occasionally watch Sebastian and am also surprised to see such big dents! 😯😳

I'm team YES DUPES! Like you, I use them to see if I want the real deal badly enough to shell out the money. I've ended up buying the real deal of all the dupes i've loved except for oud for greatness, which WILL come home to us...just need to remortgage the house. :p

Ok, I FINALLY finished the video, after constantly pausing the vid bc we are cooking up Tuscan chicken! Btw- if you haven't already cooked it - omg, you MUST! I just type in "best Tuscan chicken recipe" and BAM! It's SO GOOD, Veronica!! I put it on top of Angel hair or thin spaghetti noodles... It's 5 star! I remembered hearing the Riiffs rouge mentioned in passing on youtube but couldn't find it after or any info... if youknow any other riiffs perfumes I would love to hear about them.
I happened to find both rouge and /vert, each for ~30$ picked them up and I was so impressed I got backups! the price has gone up since and they are very hard to find so I'm really happy to have them! 🥰
I also love Oud for glory (got it before I heard or smelled the Oud for greatness ) and got compliments even though I thought it's a bit unusual and maybe overpowering (for non perfume enthusiasts... )

Love your videos!! I wish I watched this first before trying Angelique Noir yesterday at the Guerlain counter (buying a recommendation you had from a while ago on uplifting perfumes, herba fresca--a delicious mint). Left with the Angelique Noir too and I kinda wish I tried this dupe first.

Thank you for this video, I look forward to all your videos! I've actually realized that I think I want to get a couple dupes, especially for my 2-year-old daughter. She's starting to get into fragrances too (I might or might not have something to do with that 🤣), and really don't want to invest in the full price fragrance for her. At least not yet. I'm trying to figure if I want to pay the full price for ME! And I try to find them on discount, or somebody else selling it.

@@VeronicaSays Yup! She keeps wanting to "smell" my perfumes, or at least, put her nose up to stuff, like I do. Then she started to ask to put on perfume. So, some of the lighter scents that I have samples of I gave to her. Those are Miriam's perfumes. Honestly, it's one of the cutest things ever. L make a frag-head of her yet! Lol, I'm also getting my husband to build up a small collection 😂

Just liking Stash, and I had a decant of Hacivat that I gave to him, and he has some of my other samples. I have Bouquet Ideale on the way! And he LOVES that one, so we will share it. Got it on a great discount. More than half off!

Great selection Veronica! I'm not sure if all those brands you mentioned are available in Australia? I'll have to do some digging. Sadly, the great price of the dupe is sometimes made redundant by the ridiculous shipping costs. Grrr. lol Anyways, Like everyone, I've had hits and misses with dupes. I do have Dark Temptation by Be Layered which is great - a dupe for Oud Bouquet. Wouldn't say spot on but so many rose ouds are in that ball park so close enough and it is lovely. Better than the Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud (gold bottle) which is a powerhouse but a bit scratchy and shrill for me (fyi the Shaghaf Oud Aswan is a better frag imo, but not a dupe that I know of). And Alexandria is a great house. I also quite like Fatal de Vanille and China Affair. Not sure how close to Coromandel I find China Affair (must retest!) but it's a lovely fragrance regardless. I have a bottle of H'Ani, but also love my samples of Le Chypre (Chypre Palatine), Purpl3 H@ze (Psychedelic Love)and Moonstruck (Lune Feline). However, my favourite that I'd love a bottle of is Egyptian King (which is actually an original Alexandria frag). Intense and gorgeous. Powdery ambery goodness. It always makes me think of those pink musk stick sweets/lollies (they're prolific in Australia) maybe in a temple blended with incense and powder and resins. Sounds odd lol but it's such an amazing fragrance. But I've not tried any new ones (the last couple of years or so) from Alexandria. I'm very keen to try out Bright Peach by Maison Alhambra - a very affordable dupe of Bitter Peach (obvs!). Another good dupe for Angel's Share is Kismet Angel also by Maison Alhambra. I love the smell of it but haven't tried the OG. I'm told it's about 85%. But it smells GOOOD! HA. Thanks for another great vid. Too bad we never heard the owl. 😟

You've named some great ones here - too many to comment on! I've also tried some of the originals from several brands and there are some hidden gems among them for sure. An owl! How exciting! I live near the Rockies but our yards are teeny tiny (housing is so expensive) but we still have had deer, a baby bear pooped on our sidewalk caught by our ring camera, snakes (including a rattle snake yikes), fox also on the camera, and mountain lions have been spotted near by (and extra yikes!). Creatures find their way around for sure.
It IS exciting! It never gets old to hear the "hoo" sound around our house. We get snakes, deer, opossum, fox, and occasional wolves and bears. Lots of falcon and an occasional eagle too. So cool! 💖💖💖

This is super helpful AND I learned of some new dupe houses. I recently learned of and went on the dua site and wasn’t even impressed with the site compared to oakcha, alt, dossier, Julianna’s which are the main ones I’m familiar with as of now. Have yet to purchase from Julianna’s. The oakcha bottles are stunning to me.

I own Collateral Damage by Dua, and yes, it is very similar to Side effects by Initio. Almost spot on. I love it and it gets me compliments every time I wear it.

@@VeronicaSays I agree, do NOT like the bottles but the atomizers are 🔥! I grabbed Babycat, Deep n Desire Yacht, Ruby n Vanilla Intense, and Electric Cherry. I was pretty impressed with these overall, at least for my first 4. Babycat and Deep n Desire are my favorites, Electric Cherry is ok, and not too sure about Ruby n Vanilla, it's interesting lol! Kinda split with mine too. Seems they nail it or don't? It's addicting though as now I want to try more 😂 I need to set some rules like you. There's about 10 on my list. I’ve never tried any on your list, but I just bought 7 from dua. Unfortunately, so far, I like maybe 2:( I tried a few from alt once, gag, got rid. Never tried Alexandria or riffs maybe I’ll experiment at some point. I find dupes generally to be more synthetic smelling and then I get frustrated and buy the original which just wastes money. Good video.
Hey Janice, yes, some people find that to be the case. If you prefer the originals, I say stick with those! Nothing wrong with that. It can be a whole rabbit hole to explore dupes, just to go back to the originals anyway, you know? I certainly have shied away from dupe houses that just feel like cheap smelling versions of the originals - no point in that!
