Can i do this for my 2012 equinox? My shifter just came apart and 2 wires are loose. It still drives I think those wires are for the manual buttons that I never use Just wanted to try to fix it anyway

Is it possible to access to that lever from the side? I mean, if i do a hole in the plastic at the side to access it trough a hole for a daily basis, because I need to leave the car in neutral in my garage now and then. When you open the side there are some holes but I couldn´t release the shifter lock. Thanks in advance.

@@TowMan127 The problem with this car is that's impossible to flat tow it or leave it in neutral without disassembling something. The white thing that you move from the top with a screwdriver, is it possible to move it the way you do in other cars (from the side)?

When you press the brake you’ll hear the click from the electric motor. It’s normal.

I tried this on a 2018 equinox and there was no result it stayed in park ive been doing research all day on this one.but worse case I wont be able to fix it best case itll be a fuse maybe even a brake switch
