You are an absolute blessing and joy to watch. I am a 13 year old girl, and I was brought up in a Catholic Primary school, whilst going to a Baptist Church, with a devout Catholic Father and a Methodist Mother. Coming from a Ghanaian/Nigerian family who is deeply rooted in their culture and faith, I had grown up knowing all about demonic activity, Hell, the wages of sin and the balanced nature of God being both just and omnibenevolent. My Mother was devout and made me recite Psalms such as: 23, 91, 18 and 139 in the car on the way to school in the morning. As a child I would go to school and tell my friends about these things, talk to this about my teachers, and be constantly shut down because they didn't want me to scare other students. My teachers had always been very impressed by my biblical knowledge of both testaments. I was a co-head of the chaplaincy team at my school, helped in the mass, helped organised the schools donation to charity, lead assemblies and even met the Cardinal. I had my first Holy Communion in the Catholic church and was christened as a new-born. I considered myself devout Roman Catholic during Primary school, and went to mass often when I was younger, but stopped when my Father passed away. I have always felt empty going to my Baptist Church and found myself searching for the tradition and liturgy I had felt whilst in my Roman Catholic Primary school behind the rock concert that was every Sunday. Doctrine was diluted, and was all about how much God loves you and will forgive you fore absolutely anything you could possibly ever do, the consequences of sin were never mentioned and shut down immediately. In the Baptist Church, God's nature is omnibenevolent, but not just. The love of God ss the fire of Hell - Isaac The Syrian. Once I left Primary School, and left Catholicism behind completely, I also neglected my prayer life and found myself deep in witchcraft with fantasy books like Harry Potter that became more than an emotional phase but a spiritual obsession and an insufficient method of filling the void that was left in my heart because I was being bullied very badly at school due to my medical condition. A girl in my year group had gone around telling people that my medical condition was fake and for attention, and the monitors I wore on my arm were just an excuse to get out of lessons or pretend to be unwell to skip tests etc. She male comments on my appearance and spread other nasty rumours. She would find older students to corner me and ask me about my condition, whilst the entire time I though they hated me because of my condition, not because they thought it was fake, and became very insecure of it and how visible it was. I started neglecting my health and taking my medication because I didn't wasn't to draw attention to myself I also fell into secular music, insecurity, depression, and immodesty. I had so much resentment for everyone. And yet at the same time I would use the Christian faith to condemn and judge. Earlier this year, my Auntie died unexpectedly of breast cancer and I was absolutely heart broken and though the world was going to end. I prayed to God to bring her back to life, but nothing changed and it absolutely devasted my family. My family has been completely torn apart by this and it has since cause lots of resentment, arguments and family issues. My Uncle (my aunties' late husband) was not even allowed inside the funeral, his last name removed from her name, and he was taken out her her biography. (Their relationship was fine to the end and they were not even divorced.) I found myself neglecting my faith once again. For the past year I have been studying Orthodox Christianity and venturing deeper into my Catholic roots, and your videos have helped me learn to much more about myself, life, the nature of God, become closer to the Holy Mother, and learn more about the Orthodox faith. I have talked to my Mama about this but she doesn't take me or my spiritual intelligence seriously when it comes to conversion. I hope to teach her about Orthodoxy too. You are such a joy to listen to and to watch. I truly believe God has sent to you to help me with my journey through my faith. I am a new creation in Christ. Thankyou so much, God bless you Sona.🩷🩷
Dear Emefa! Your story and your letter touched me deeply! I am so happy that my videos are helpful to my brothers and sisters in Christ! I am so glad you are learning about Orthodoxy! You seem like a very wonderful, strong, beautiful, resilient person and you will not give up until you find Christ. No matter what you chose, I pray to God that you find peace in your heart and around you! May God, Who inspired me to make these videos, hear the silent prayer of your heart and bring you back to Him! Sending you lots of love! ❤️
May God bless you dear Sona, an Armenian Orthodox myself. Your zeal for evangelization and your professionalism is very commendable. May God bless your beautiful family.
Thank you for these videos! I am inquirer in Orthodoxy (even though a large part of my family was originally Orthodox) and your videos help me so much as a young woman. May God bless you and your family❤
Saint hripsime (known locally as saint arsema) is widely venerated here in the Ethiopian Orthodox church with various churches and monasteries in her name.
Fantastic. I believe that God was providing women a special deliverance from oppression in Jesus, and that is why so many of the early Christians were women, and why they remain so. I look forward to more.
Hello Sister. Enjoyed your video and learned a lot. I wish that the video would have spoken about how women should dress humbly or modestly. Also about radical femininism and how the biblical image of a woman is mocked by this ideology. Thanks again Sister Sona!

Interesting to listen to. Since I am from an other tradition a lotof the points regarding what is a biblical woman I do not agree with, but I do agree that women are created in the image of God and as companions thereby not less important than men, but also not necessary the same roles. A difficult opinion in our days when everyone want woman and men to be the same. Thank you for sharing.
My dear Saint Petka(Paraskevi) who is the patron saint of my family and Joanna, one of the myrrh-bearing women with whom I share a name, are especially dear to me. ☦️💕
I think it might helps if you are aware of being a child of the King of Kings. So therefore we suppose to have a royal behavior. And as married couple husband and wife are crowned as King and Queen. They suppose to treat appropriately themselves like royals with respect, patience and faithfulness. Furthermore when they become parents, they have to lead and teach all the Christian values and teachings of Jesus Christ their children. My explanations are unfortunately bad. But i think you get my point anyway
Thank you for your comment! I agree with you! We are crowned as kings and queens of our household. It’s a beautiful traditions and there are so many meanings behind it!
I would love to hear stories of all of the female saints and martyrs. I'm not orthodox but hearing the stories of what orthodox and catholics christians did make me more seen as a women since imo the bible doesnt tell a lot about what women did
Thank you for your question! I need to do more research on that subject to answer this question. From what I know, the woman is encouraged to keep chastity living in the world, serve her family members, her community, preach gospel and be the light of this world as all Christians are encouraged to be.
You are such a joy to listen to.
Thank you for your kind words!
