Neurosis, as a band, is probably the most truly artistic entity on this planet. They pour their souls into this music, and it really shows.-yes yes yes yes

Most people don't feel and can't properly listen to music nowadays. That's one of the reasons why Neurosis isn't popular.

to me this album and sun that never sets are the best of neurosis. dont know why everyone loves better their harder albums... this is mindblowing...

The Eye of Every Storm is my favorite Neurosis album. It resonates so much with me. One of the coolest times listening to this album was when I was driving to different old cemetery's. These were in the mountains of Colorado and it was really overcast, and some of these tombstones were from the civil war era.

Intelligence comes from those who know how to live harmoniously with their surroundings. Mankind acts without thought, merely "because we can". If you truly believe that the way that we maintain this planet is anything close to intelligent, I would suggest you think again. We share the planet with life forms that've been here for millions of years. Most stay the same not because of some evolutionary stop in the system, but because they've found their niche. They've found their way of being.

Their cheerleaders the fourth estate gaslight the population into fighting their fellow man on the streets over issues that are so depoliticized voting wont change them. Hopefully everyone will see through the Rendon/Booz Allen propaganda soon.

You can feel the raw emotion pouring out of every note that they play, and it is honestly the most beautiful, moving feeling in the world to be able to share this emotion over such a distance using music.

Ahhh Neurosis, heavy metal poetry. So visceral. This is one of my faves, both an anthem for the troubled mind and the way forward beyond. Strength beyond strength, love you guys. You touch my soul.

I agree 100%. Everyone gets so lost in what's popular just because it's popular. Many bands don't put the emotion and hard work into their music.
    Neurosis changed my life infinitely.

This song is magical, and powerful, that reach inside me and take the sadness and anger that I was keeping store inside out. I feel relieve now, without regrets.
Thank you dude for upload this gem, and thank you Neurosis for the emotions that you make me feel... Just... Unique.

It's because I don't speak english very well, but what I wanted to say was that mainstream, commercial music etc. isn't music for me. It's something you listen to a forget you've ever heard it. But Neurosis made it more music, and I can't agree they aren't popular. In these days is very popular among the bands genre called post metal. Sludge/post/experimental metal and this genre is the one Neurosis built. Neurosis is a legend. With many fans and many faithful sons. Like us.

Agreed. "dense" is a good way to put it. They express the emotion in the little things. You can hear the pain and precision that flows. It's only for the people that understand it.Very few.

Have you ever thought that maybe the big bang has never happened, and the universe has no beginning and no end? Have you ever thought that maybe this is just a millionth of a millionth of a trillionth of a trillionth of a million of quadrillions of a quadrillion of a speck of this infinite space that we all flow in, and this just doesn't even matter? But these people made you feel something so vastly insignificant in this infinite ocean of dust. Do you know when we are or why we are?

And most people can't stand songs if they last so long. Most Neurosis songs are more than 6 minutes. I believe most people would fall asleep on Bridges, that's sad, because it is true art, not comercial band who sold itself.

You have ancient indian cliff dwellings on here:D, correct me if i'm wrong but it looks like a pueblo dwelling. You might be interested to know I think of them often when I listen to neurosis. I imagine sitting with them in a village burrowed into the grand canyon as we marvel at all sorts of paranormal spectacles in the sky and land. It often feels like a tribal peyote trip. It makes me wonder if i was one of them in a past life.

The known universe as it is known to humans. I expect we're less 'complicated' than other forms that doubtless exist out there. Hell, we share more than 90% of our DNA with chimps; potatoes have more chromasomes; squid have such an elaborate form of communication we might never figure it out (dolphins learn to understand us, but never the other way around). We think we're the be all, and end all, of evolution on this planet. Life will evolve after we destroy ourselves.
    That said, Neurosis rule.

  • @helgatridr
    @helgatridr 16 років тому

Thank you, appreciated. though I think I'll need some time for Neurosis to sink in. I've heard about Cult of Luna before, though I never heard their music.
and I don't mind you asking, my thesis is about two movies, Blade Runner and The Fountain. I try to compare their ideas with Christian thought on the matter of death. I stud theology.
    but thanks for the music.
